Contrary to what seems to me as the popular opinion, I really enjoy watching the Monkeys play older songs in different ways. As a Bowie fan, I do not want to listen to my Spotify playlist on a stage, let me see some room for interpretation. Let's give the dudes some freeway.

I totally agree!!! Sometimes experiments lead to great versions sometimes not, but that's the beauty of a live concert!

As both a Prince and Bowie fan, I’d say interpretation is mandatory on a concert. Otherwise I’d stay at home listening to the cd. Can’t understand people complaining.

This is what I've been telling everybody I know! As someone who is used to artists like Bowie and Bob Dylan, I've grown to expect live versions of songs to have some changes, I like hearing new takes on them.

Funny that someone can conclude another person is depressing by a single video of him singing. Ever heard of emotional songs? This song is not supposed to be upbeat what do you expect? This version has a much better arrangement and stage design to produce the atmosphere. It makes you soft. If you feel it and decide to claim that the singer has something wrong, that's where you're wrong.
