Arctic Sectional VS Metal Pless ( Battle of the snow plows ) Equipment Tuesday

Today for equipment Tuesday I have decided to talk about snow plows. We are battling the great arctic sectional vs the mighty metal pless plow. The 2 amazing plows have been in great debate onto which one is best. You have the metal pless mafia vs the arctic army. Don't get me wrong both plows are absolutely amazing for snow removal. These are the Cadillacs of snow pushers. In today walk around video we are talk about which one we prefer and the pros and cons of both. Both hd plows are being pushed by doosan wheel loader. I started using a Arctic HD this year on a L60H, 312" of snow so far this season and it hasn't missed a beat! I'm looking to sell my Metal Pless 8-30-13 and try a Liveboxx on my Case 221F. Great video, thanks for the comparison.

What do you know about carbide inserts?

Have the shoes of each plow sit on 8 or 12" tall blocks and see which plow contours to the pavement from there. Hint: its not the pless. For box plows, it's Arctic hands down. Also, there is a hole in the lower portion of the sections which you can bolt together, not just the top.

Where did you purchase your carbide cutting edges and the limiters that protect the pucks?

Carbide edges I sources from a couple venders. Best price wins. Winterequipment is currently working on some for the arctic blades. My last order came from local metal places in Mn. And another order came from Titan machinery. Limiters are sold from your arctic dealers. Titan, twinstar anyone you is an authorized dealer.

I know you cant beat the scrape from an Arctic but i hate the thoughts of spending big money for a pusher and then have block issues, causing downtime. I've seen videos on KZbin of guys having block issues. So its Metal pless for me 🇨🇦 ....anyone seen the new "Storm Boxx Trace" pusher coming out by Fisher? kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIXPeH2BhcqCZ9U

I get it. It does requiring training for the operator. Arctics has an easy video to watch which explains and help. If you brake bottom blocks it is still useable. There is some tricks to keeep them pushing if blocks break during a storm. Which is nice. They are just instantly dead. Metal pless makes Great plow also. I have not seen those from fisher.

Arctic for my idea price difference for four or five pushes a yer twenty to twenty five hours a year I think arctic is my choice which loader do you like I like Deere 324 thanks

Great choice, you can never go wrong with the arctic. The Liveboxx's and Arctic Sectional Sno Pusher are very close in price it is winged plows that are playing in a whole different world. Compacts I love the 244's. In all honesty as long as you have snow tires they are all great if you have dealer support. Big Loaders I do love our older John Deere 644k.

i own 2 metalpless and their customer service is the absolute worse, it's what makes me regret buying from them. they only care about the bottom line, no customer service at all, the local dealer has verified that.

Who is dealer? Obviously dealer support is everything sorry you have had that experience. We are arctic lovers but both plows are great.
