Incredbly fond memories of this game. Played it obsessively against my brother who could hold out the longest. And that odd setting.. being a MAMMOTH balancing an ICEBERG... Just brilliant! Alsothat Supacatchatroopa vibe... Another brilliantly freaky game!

The best memories are those when playing these games with family. Even after all these years, they stick in the brain like a capsule in time. Awesome 😇🕹👌

Wow! Yet another unique game I've never heard about. That 3D effect of the ice is pretty cool for the little C64 back in the 80's. It's amazing the variety of ideas people would come up with on that little computer. While I still like gaming today, it feels like most developers just stick to certain gaming genres rather than break out with a unique idea like you would often see on the C64.

Very true, I think back in the 80s it was literally a 'blank canvas' where these bedroom coders could literally work their magic. A truly wonderful period in gaming history which we are all proud to be very much a massive part of 😇🕹🤔

I have seen some gameplay videos of this Commodore 64 game and always wondered, if i should definitely give a try for this game. It looks kinda simple 😸😺👍, but it is more challenging than it appears 😹🕹️.

Its definitely a lot tougher than it looks, if you go to far off to the side... good luck getting the balance back, especially on later levels haha. Good fun though, while it lasts 😇🕹️👌

Funny what the devs called themselves, because there was a fantastic graphic adventure by Telerium based on the Ray Bradbury book "Fahrenheit 451"

hmm I never would have even played the game and I have loaded it up a couple of times. First impressions being that it looked like it wouldn't appeal but I'll certainly give it a go as it does look to be a very unique game. Thanks

It's quite fun but to be honest, quote difficult! Mind you, the game mechanics are awesome for such an early title - definitely worth giving a go 😇🕹🤔

First time seeing this game, looks incredible for 1983! 8 year old me would have been mindblown, even if it would have been played/viewed on a 14" portable b&w TV perched on a stool lol.

Ironically, we only had a 14" CRT back in these days, it was my prized possession as it was colour - and my Mum bought me one of those portable TV aerials so I could watch cartoons in the daytime. So fuzzy though, had to hold it at an angle to work haha. Great memories! 😇🕹️👌

@@CheekyCommodoreGamer Times like this I feel we do live in a golden age, no matter what else is going on with the world. With emulation and the internet in general (and people who still use the original tech) we have access to all those happy memories of childhood, even if most of the time the games don't exactly hold up! I started on the ZX81 with Tyrant of Athens, Football Manager, Frogger, and 3D Monster Maze. To then have the brilliant colour and sound of the C64 was a giant leap, as was the Amiga with its sampled sound and "photorealistic" (haha) graphics. I think I take tech advances too casually these days. I can roam an atmospheric world in (for example) Red Dead Redemption 2, and can emulate any number of machines, and most of the time I think nothing of it. I don't miss those aerials though!

This would be a good game to kill some time, but I'm not sure it would hold its appeal for much more than 15 or 20 minutes. It's too bad there isn't more variety to the game. Unique concept though!
@CheekyCommodoreGamer
@CheekyCommodoreGamer 10 ай бұрын
Yeah that's true, after 10 or 15 minutes you've pretty much done all that the game has to offer. A nice little change though especially for the unique concept. I love the physics element even for such an early title. Great programming 😇🕹👌

@@CheekyCommodoreGamerTrue. Not many 3D-ish games for the C64 in those first few years. At first I thought you had to avoid squashing the humans as you move around but that doesn't appear to be the case (I saw multiple times where the mammoth seems to step on them with no ill effects). That would definitely make the game a lot harder!

Crazy concept for sure but a completely unique game for the C64, showing the capabilities on such an early title... but must have taken some mega programming skills to pull it off 😇🕹️👌
