This song helped me appreciate being alive. My best friend is a huge Arctic Monkeys fan, as such, anytime we visit his house to smoke weed, he puts on some Arctic Monkeys. This is my favorite song of theirs. Last night before going home I took one last really good hit from the glass bong we got him for Christmas, and we headed home. We got home, I changed into my PJs, and put some leftover chili on the stove and boiled some hot dogs. I put this song on in my headphones at max volume while I waited. I listened very intently to the song. I imagined Arctic Monkeys when they were in the studio recording this, I imagined the scenarios Alex was singing about in the lyrics, I imagined what God or aliens would think of the 23 year year old man dancing to Arctic Monkeys making some chili dogs. And I realized that I didn't care about anything else in the world except that moment. The harsh guitar tones, the amplified bass tones, the crashing drums, Alex's distinct singing voice, and my impending chili dogs. That was all that mattered to me in that moment. And when I thought about that I realized that what I had experienced was true happiness. I learned that I am but a speck in the vast cosmos, basically nothing to whatever exists out there, and that I exist to enjoy the things that make me happy. It doesn't matter what any being thinks of what makes me happy, because I am happy dancing to Arctic Monkeys in my headphones at midnight while I make chili dogs. High as a fucking kite. Do what makes you happy. Don't be scared of what anyone else would think. They aren't you, so their happiness is not yours.

What I’ve always found interesting is the fact Alex told multiple press articles this girl was a nobody stalker who always followed the band around, and then they cast her in this video due to that fact, when in fact that is Lauren socha she is an actress possibly best know for her role in Misfits. Yet during this time she was unknown and I doubt Alex ever thought she would get known to people. But aside from that, this album is a true timeless musical extravaganza
