Was hoping for more of a review of the poncho itself but I watched the video in its entirety and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Cool video, my choice for camo is British dpm/u.s. woodland camo, though my dd tarps in coyote brown is a brilliant all year round colour for a tarp, for my area a mix of pine woodland and deciduous woodland, loving the videos, good health and safe travels my friend, cheers craig 🙏 🌿

Good choices my friend! I was out last night with the USMC field tarp, reversible, MARPAT on one side, coyote brown on the other, pretty effective piece of kit! Thanks for your comment my friend, hope you and yours are all well 👍

A simple, enjoyable video. Your camera got a few visitors. My gear runs the camo spectrum... British DPM, Italian Vegitato - a "blended" digital, US Woodland, and just the plain OD green. Practically everyone in the States is after the new OCP (similar to MTP) so anything in that is $$$.
@ManDogWild2 жыл бұрын
You’re ready for any environment Barone! Love it my friend! I was just checking out OCP, I like the looks of it 👍
@baronedipiemonte39902 жыл бұрын
@@ManDogWild The OCP is a definite improvement over the previous American Army ACU/USAF Tiger stripe. My preferences are the British DPM and US woodland. I picked up my vest in the Italian Vegitato as it was almost half the price of the other offerings - $35 USD compared to $60 USD. If you are bored & want to look at something amusing, look at the US Navy greenish digital camo. Before that it was a digital 5 shades of grey (IMO that's only a morale booster bc unless you are naval special warfare or Seabees, you don't need camo). Even my Coast Guard went to that Navy camo...😖

Choice of Camo !, for me no one camo is right, it depends on where I'm going and the time of year. All camo has a place and a time where it gives best results. Always back your camo material up with what every foliage is local to you and you will blend far better in to your surroundings. Nothing worse than seeing someone's cunning crafted shelter from a distance because they didn't give the surroundings a thought ! Bug's, treat your kit with "Permethrin" keeps you and your kit bug free and lasts for months done properly. In camp if you don't want a Smokey fire just get a couple of cheap 12 hour Citronella candles and have one either side of your sitting area. Really good video bud, full of good info and and skills that all can take on board. Looking forward to the next one, Big thumbs up.
@ManDogWild2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely agree with you Moosey! Best to utilise the variety of different camo with the variety of different environments! I just checked out some permethrin, I may have to pick some up and give it a try! I was using birch oil yesterday, seemed to work well! Trouble is I won’t be able to make it out on the trail and the fake tan look doesn’t really suit me 😂 thanks for your comment my friend, always very informative, appreciated as always my friend 👍

OD green is my fav, i can get it to blend most times of the year, but i might pick a specific camo for the time of year and location, lol.
@kennethwilson86332 жыл бұрын
Nice video. Just my opinion not a criticism I like to use the poncho for rain gear and have a separate tarp or tent for shelter. It’s small size makes it not much cover unless you are wearing it or using it as a bivy bag. Have fun stay safe.

Best camo? Depends on environment and time of year USMC Marpat works in my area ea for approximately 7-8 months per year. Desert Night or Coyote Brown for late autumn.

I enjoyed this video. I have all of the same gear, just different brands. I was curious about that flat fry pan! Never seen one of those before. I think I'll stick to one with edges. Are you in Britain? Thanks.

Hey Doug! Definitely stick to an edged fry pan my friend 😂 I realised I didn’t have a frying pan and so I looked in the cupboard and found that contraption…think it was actually made for cakes and whatnot 😂. I am in the UK, thanks for your comment my friend 👍
