. Asalaamualaikum. We are living at a time where time is ticking fast. Music can lead to addiction. With that being said, it can then be very time consuming. And then you got sports broadcasted on television which is another time consumer. And then you got soaps, movies, media, gaming platforms, paying a visit to your friends, time spent at work, etc. My question is, how much time do we have remaining for our deen?

People in mummy and daddys house giving advice to adz online? Are you mad?... My bro grew up in Brixton around murder, violence, gangs and drugs. Raised by his mum on his own and my man has made it out at the same time raising his son.. Where is the admiration for my bro? He openly says in his music his struggle to leave the music behind.. He was also involved with gang culture.. My bro made it out and yet everyone who don't even know what he been through wanna give him advice? Man grew up in a war zone, atleast listen his music from 2016..there is so much pain in his music.. Inshallah bro you get where you need to be. You have a god given talent for painting pictures with words. How many lives have these online scholars touched? How do you know how many have listened to his music to provide them with comfort or even saved their life? My bro is a modern day poet. Is he less close to Allah coz he like a blunt and a brew? Did what he had to survive in Brixton. Peace

instead of learning about the lives and the story of struggle the companions and prophets of Allah swt went through, we resort to taking our deen and understanding from rappers who realised that their career is going downhill. It was narrated that Ziyad bin Labid said: “The Prophet (ﷺ) mentioned something and said: ‘That will be at the time when knowledge (of Qur’an) disappears.’ I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, how will knowledge disappear when we read the Qur’an and teach it to our children, until the Day of Resurrection?’ He said: ‘May your mother be bereft of you, Ziyad! I thought that you were the wisest man in Al- Madinah. Is it not the case that these Jews and Christians read the Tawrah and the Injil, but they do not act upon anything of what is in them?’” we can see this happening in front of our very eyes. people are too lazy to pick up the Quran and read. people are too lazy to study about our salaf of this ummah and take religious advice from any so and so who speak eloquently.

Adz keep your catalogue on youtube even if you quit music Keep your legacy n fans happy n keep earning from that Also inmo musics only haram if it promotes bad things perhaps that particular part of scripture was more metaphorical n sentimental than literal. Just one person's opinion. Good interview keep pushing
@ItzAGeneralChannel
@ItzAGeneralChannel 3 жыл бұрын
assalaamu allaikum akhi, there are a few problems with this comment with all due respect 1. Every time someone listens to his music after his death, adz will be attaining sins from it. 2. There is no such thing as ‘in my opinion’ in Islam, rather we take our knowledge about these subjects from the scholars who have studied the Quran and the Sunnah in depth. 3. It is extremely problematic to view certain verses as ‘metaphorical or sentimental’ as where do we draw the line? Do we then assume that the verses commanding five daily prayers are metaphorical also? May Allah bless you for your good intentions and guide us all to his straight path, ameen.
@kimberleychoudhury3358
@kimberleychoudhury3358 3 жыл бұрын
@@ItzAGeneralChannel i like what you're saying in general but I would say that if one promotes good topics and conversations such as Heaven and Hell, like brother adz does then no sin nor harm nor hurt is commit, in fact the opposite: good things are promoted through a media platform, i see good rappers as like good journalists Yes but scholars are human not the Word or intentions or commands of God I would say draw the line as all things are metaphorical because the Word of God was passed through Human's so some imperfection exists, I definitely respect your stance though and I personally pray whenever I feel like it as well as 5/slightly more/slightly less times a day hence it is a guideline for example to pace your day and have and keep good intentions Moreover, in Heaven I believe God will allow music and instrumental music and music promoting good things hence on Earth we may enjoy this too (haram things become halal in Heaven could metaphorically show humans grow n there is good within mild bad etc)
@ItzAGeneralChannel
@ItzAGeneralChannel 3 жыл бұрын
@@kimberleychoudhury3358 I appreciate you sharing your perception of things akhi & I’m happy that you pray Ma Shaa Allah. However, although you’re right about scholars being human and thus fallible, the Quran is not. The Quran is absolutely unaltered and unchanged from the time it was revealed 1400 years ago, and the same creator who preserved the Quran, likewise preserved the ahadith (traditions of the prophet Muhammad pbuh). These traditions tell us directly and comprehensively how to interpret the Quran, thus no one can pick and choose which verses to adopt and which to ignore. The Prophet Muhammad was the living image of the Quran, and we follow what he did as he was the best example of a human being placed on this earth. Consequently, it goes against Islam to interpret the Quran in a way that is different to how he interpreted it. Could I ask, are you currently Muslim brother?
