Ardennes II - Gameplay

A look at the gameplay in the newest entry in MMP/The Gamers' Standard Combat Series, a remake of the 1994 entry "Ardennes" known, appropriately enough as "Ardennes II"
More than just a remake, the new game has a lot of new and interesting mechanics that are new not only to Ardennes but also the SCS itself. We take a look at some of these new mechanics in this video.

26:10 Shouldn't the mechanized battalion from 1st SS have to pay 6 MP on the first hex movement, since it's moving into a hex with woods? From what I understand, it is the hex features that determines the MP cost, not the hexside feature...

Yes, I believe you're correct. That first hex does have woods and I called it open when moving. So that should have been six MPs to enter. Thanks!

Around 26:00, why can't the 3FJ artillery cross the river by moving along the track to the southwest then crossing the river on the track as the previous unit did? Something about Mech units using tracks? Also, around 29:00, I believe the ZOC Bond units have to be 2 steps of infantry and the unit on the right is only 1 step. So no ZOC Bond. I think.

Thanks - you're right on both counts. Some boneheaded mistakes there: the artillery could have gone down the track, but I was mentally stuck on wanting it to go north for some reason. And yes, you need each post to have 2 steps of infantry so I messed that up too.
