We can also insert airtel 4g sim. I have used 4g sim and it was working fine.

Yes, it works fine because airtel also provides 2G network. Even if we use 4G sim , for voice calls transmisson on 2G and 4G will be same (until if you use 4G volte it will be different with 2G of airtel😅) , but in data transmisson you will see the difference that you get only 2G data speed even if you use 4G simcard on this modem . But if you try with JIO sim card , modem will not work because JIO does't provides any 2G network

Can we get feedback from device to mobile?? I mean when light on , it sends msg that light is on and same for off , when we give command from far away, we are not sure that light is actually glowing or not. Please clarify

You just need to add extra line of codes (which I don't know exactly but it will be similar to what is shown here) as the GSM 800/900 board gets set in sms mode, you can get immediate reply from the sim in module that the particular LED has been now turned on or off. It will be inserted below 👉 (CMFG, r) this code. And instead of r you must use s (code for sending sms) and the "sms that you need to send back as a feedback"

All connection are correct according to pins defined in program, GSM also detected netwok but after sending SMS why it doesn't take any action? Ho to Solve this error

You can send data using GPRS AT COMMANDS and again control devices from your own server.

@@RoboShala Idea here is related Smart Farm. Where the device can send sensor data like GPS, Soil Moisture level, Temperature, Humidity to a IoT dashboard (say Adafruit.io) using the GPRS module. And from the IoT dashboard, based on rules, we can send MQTT message to turn on or off pumps automatically.

I want to switch ON/OFF my Router through Google Assistant and NODEMCU. If router is on nodemcu can switch it off but can not make it ON. What should I do. I do not want to connect nodemcu to the mobile hotspot for this simple cause every time! and You did not said anything about the internet connection with GSM module.

This GSM module only works with 2G sims but there are other 3g/4g modules available but they are vry costlier.
