good review its nice to hear a reviewer admit that even if they dont get use out of some functions that doesnt make the function useless, for an artist who would make use of this computers digitizer screen to produce digital artwork the 'tablet mode' is a god send, I would be using this for drawing/digital painting and so prefer to have the keyboard out of the way but thats obviously not a relevant function for a user who primarily is using it for typing and as a traditional laptop. Most reviewers tend to forget about the digital canvas and therefore dont realise what a boon it is to save desk space especially when you are turning the screen around alot due to drawing, sometimes i need to turn my picture sideways or upsidedown and reaching across a keyboard and having that get in the way is frustrating , its like having an attachment to your sketchbook and sometimes you need to move the sketchbook around its far easy to do this when in tablet mode, less desk space (hard to describe what i mean here, but watch an artist use a sketchpad and look at how often they move the paper around to get a better angle, this makes that easier. )

I thought I wanted one, and narrowed it down... but then I figured out that the way I use a laptop, isn't very conducive to folding the keyboard away, since I'm constantly using the keyboard. Even for Netflix or youtube, I constantly have my fingers on the space and arrow keys, to pause and jump back a bit. I do that a LOT lol. Also while on the couch or something I thought it might be nice to have the screen closer, but I think it might be a bit too close... and I use the keyboard too much anyway. I was thinking I could more easily use it as a monitor if the keyboard is folded out of the way and just a screen is there (for when I plug in a separate keyboard and mouse), but I don' think I'd really do that... I'd just use the laptop as is. Might want a ThinkPad for the keyboard though, to make up for it a bit. I also thought that using fingers would be faster and more natural and easy, like a phone. But a phone is relatively tiny. A laptop screen is big, a lot of arm movement to do stuff... I don't really like that. And, I'm not in any particular hurry to do such things. Touchpads work quite fast and well. Microsoft precision touchpads seem to be the go. The other thing is me saving on money, because laptops are damn expensive here in Australia, and the more buying options the better (since it's hard to find a good 2 in 1 that suits my desires).

Watching this on my 13 2017 edition. I like it so far, its super well built, pretty and lots of goodies. Speakers are incredible. I bought the 1920x1080 screen. 4k is rediculous on a 13 inch, and kills 1.5 hours of battery life, no thanks ;).

I have a tablet for tappy tapping I have a laptop for typey typing I now have an x360 and I don't use the other two, so yes they definitely are a good thing the only problem I have is comming away from ios and Mac OS to a windows platform as they are obviously designed to seamlessly work together, the hp software however is constantly at war with windows so it's notification galore and the machine is filled to the brim with trials for this and that... hp is just a free for all to the company's with the highest bid to have their software on HPs machines...
