As a 19 year old, my 250r was the best purchase ever, I've put 7k km (4k miles or so) and I've had 0 issues, its light, fun, fast enough for highway, it has no problem running at 7k rpm all day long. And cheap as hell

I picked up a 2018 CBR 250 for $2200 in perfect condition with only 1,830 miles on it. I love that dang girl! She will do 90 mph with my 6'0" 185 lb frame. This bike is super light and easy to control. No dents, no scratches, not issues at all. The guy I bought it from just didn't like it anymore because he wanted a 600cc bike and just wanted it gone, hence the low price I got it for. I have no need to go 180 mph, so this 250cc bike is perfect for me to ride to work once or twice a week.

@@its12gagebruh31 I’m 6’1”, 220 lbs and without a pillion this bike struggles to get up to 80 mph. I’ve ridden it with my daughter on back a few times and the most notable difference will be braking (much longer distances for stopping). The ninja 300 is much quicker and the cbr500 even more so, but I prefer the cbr250r due to it being much more comfortable. I ride twice as far in the 250 as I could on the ninja or the cbr500r due to the more comfortable seat and riding position. Hope this helps.

Same goes for cars as well. I used to own the old CBR250rr that revs out to 19000rpm's and a wr450 supermoto conversion, and both those bikes are nothing compared to proper sport bikes but I would go the smaller bikes everytime. I now own an NA Mazda MX-5 and this thing is like a go-kart for the road. Closest thing to a bike without actually getting a bike :P

Agreed! I've ridden a rebel250 daily for two years, 10k miles and still love the thing! It's perfect in the city and still capable of sustaining 70 when I wanna jump on the highway for 10-20 mins. Every time I seriously consider getting something larger, I think about how light the rebel is and how I'll lose the 70mpg I'm currently getting. I definitely will get something more suited for longer trips someday but I'll be keeping the rebel! It's just such an awesome, reliable little machine!

I rode one of these for like 4 days while I was doing my safety course to get my license and I loved it. Not anemic like the CBR125 I started on but not much less powerful than the CB500F I finished on. I'm looking into buying one right now, there's a few for $2500CAD (around $2000USD) within half an hour from me. going to see one this weekend. I'm super exited. The 500 twin sounds so good though, but those are expensive. Update: I bought one from a dealer about 45 minutes away for $2200 + $200 delivery. Super excited to take ownership of it.

I've got a 2011 250r, I've got 11k miles on mine. I am a super small guy. You are correct, I can hit mid 90s on mine. I have contemplated getting a bigger bike, but this bike has saved me multiple times from speeding tickets. Insurance is cheap, and gas mileage is in the mid 70s. There is no better value for fun/cost/safety/reliability than the CBR250R

I bought mine brand new exactly 10 years ago. I still have it. 34000 miles, 4 sets of tires, 3 chains later. It's still going strong. I could have flipped it for what I got it for but when the industry moved to 300cc that killed the resale value for the 250. But what's great about this bike is that it's cheap to run, cheap to insure and cheap to fix. If you need a utilitarian motorcycle that'll get you from A to B and is tons of fun in the twisties, this is it. Adding a stainless brake line up front and fork springs for your weight with gold-valve emulators unlocks a new level of capability too. The best part about this bike? No one's going to steal it!

It weighs 300 pounds less than the FJR1300 and I can practice my skills to become an even better rider. $1,800.00, WAT?? I’ve gone over the entire bike to make it my own. It's a very forgiving bike. I have a 2012 version with ABS, brought it last year for 2000 bucks with 3000 miles as my first bike, just got it to around 13,000 miles. Previous owner had frame sliders on it, as a result, I was able to drop my bike about 5 or 6 times while doing parking lot practices with no worries. Okay, maybe the muffler was a bit scratched up. Just a tad warning, everything on the road can outrun you. I'm 5'4, I weigh about 165 pounds, the fastest I got it to was 82 mph before I felt really bad for the bike because it felt like she was screaming stop.

In my opinion everyone buys a bike for a reason and each bike is designed to serve a purpose. I honestly don't like how these bikes are stereotyped as beginner bikes. While their low power certainly lends themself to being great first motorcycles, they are lightly, manuverable, and easier to control then larger bikes that may not be as willing to lean over. Furthermore, these bikes are perfectly capable of going high speeds.

And that is is why you not cheap your insurance on all of you vehicles... and for ask the insurance is not even that expensive, I only pay about $300/year on my insurance and it already covers everything.

if you pay 300$ a year then you aren’t gonna get covered for a full motorcycle lol
@ZarcusHDGaming
@ZarcusHDGaming Жыл бұрын
@@andrewbroham3811 well... maybe in your country. But let me correct my first statement. I pay for my insurance for around $28/month so about $350 a year more/less. And it's already covered everything. (Bike Stolen, All involve in the Accident and even if my bike was ridden by other person as long as he has the required license to drive a certain displacement then I'm all good)

ride it first, even the 250 is "fast" enough to keep everyone Entertained. I ride a 954 and the little 250 is way more fun on small roads

@@MotoChrisOfficial No man, I literally bought the exact same model today, 2013 black CBR and it doesn't sound like that. Of course, it could be the effect of the mic but just saying.

Motorcycles are like tits , anything over 250cc's is just showing off. I've had 1100cc bikes 750cc etc etc. For the last 10 years my main bike has been a 250cc honda helix scooter.

Not a bad bike I want to get into riding period but where I live we have a lot of country roads where people do 65 or more not to mention the interstates that people do period so I might need something a little bit bigger than 250

And the sound of the exhaust doesn't sound bad but for me I'd probably like modify the muffler remove it and add a performance muffler but whatever it's not that bad I could live with that I like that sound
