I always like to think that airsoft guns are very accurate. It's not always about the gun itself, but rather the user. Now don't get me wrong, it's nothing like a proper rifle in terms of accuracy. But, in the right hands, a smooth bore gun with a spherical projectile can be accurate as long as one knows how to adjust for range and windage.

with my fully custom airsoft sniper rifle, i frequently challenge myself to shoot individual leaf at 90m with 0.45g BB. it may hit once every 20-30 shots though, or even never hit it, but at least it give me some false confidence that my airsoft rifle is quite accurate

Bucking is equivalent to rifling? Then why the extraordinary difference in accuracy? Airsoft cannot even compare in accuracy with a good pellet rifle let alone a firearm. Not in the same league.

so realism vs accuracy thread here, i run a l1a1 slr as my dmr, now the real one produces 8602j of energy with an effective range of 800m, mine produces 1.66j of energy with an effective range of 80m, and a s5m accuracy of about a ten pence piece, so scaling muzzle energy, really the only comparative that matters, yes airsoft guns are very very accurate
@dankdaze420692 жыл бұрын
If you're using automatic obviously yes anything can be pretty accurate when you're throwing a thousand BB's down range especially if it's those high rapid fire ones which honestly are the best and most fun to use besides snipers

For what they're shooting yeah, they're pretty accurate. And you can make aeg's shoot fairly accurately (against man sized target anyway) up to 100 meters if you're "DMRing" them. Obviously nothing like 100% accurate, but still it's perfectly possible. Bolt actions you can expect even more.
@sinepanigavlana Жыл бұрын
Yep I can confirm that, after some modifications, my m110 shoots just as accurate than my sniper at +90m, both use 0.46g BB's and have 2 Joule, ofc. Joules variate from field to field. But in general yea, Bolth snipers shoot more far cause of field rules which alow them to have like 0,5J-1Joule more than a DMR. It does not mean that with a Bolt Sniper with 3 Joule you can shoot 50% further than with a 2 Joule DMR, no its more like 10-15 meter, so instead 85 meter effective range you have 100 meter. By effective range I mean at 85 meter you can hit a man size targed while the maxumum range is like 110 meter but there you need like 20 shots to hit a man size target. Hope that helped you👍

@@sinepanigavlana I converted one of my AEG's years ago to shoot a plastic bucket at 100meters. Obviously not all can hit and the hit % against a bucket size target is below 50% 😆 But it's doable to make an AEG throw BB's at 100m with 2,3 joules or was it a bit less... (forgot how much I had back then... made a video about it too, which you can see from my KZbin profile). That's without overhopping. I like to have my BB's fly in an kinda predictable arch and never "hop" upwards during their flight. The proper effective range of course would be around that 85m, since I did my shooting in near perfect conditions: next to no wind and on a field with 0 obstacles. 85m against man sized target has a pretty high accuracy 👌

An airsoft gun, about 3 joule ,which in many Europe countries are the only one permited ,have no accuracy.The ball jump in the barrel which couse uncontrolled spinning and different ball- air friction around the flying ball,which kills any hope for decent accuracy.Its a mess .I have used oil to stop spinning and " jumping" with good results.
@starseedairsoft27712 жыл бұрын
Most are semiaccurate You have the make them accurate by upgrading the barrel bucking and sometimes the rotary hop-up system with nub

Wouldn't a rifled BB like rifled slugs work better than "bucking"? I'm just getting into airsoft and as someone who owns lots of real firearms this is all confusing haha
@Hjerte_Verke2 жыл бұрын
Interesting idea, however it would have to be a bullet shaped BB instead of a ball with rifling imprinted on it just like a shotgun rifled slug has grooves--which further begs the question, why are we still shooting balls out of airsoft guns? Why aren't they bullet shaped? Answer probably is because of friction which would require higher velocities ....

One can understand why you'd say that, those are very expensive brands, you spend your hard earned money on them, of course you'd get emotionally attached to them and I believe you if you say they work well in your gun but the truth is the only effect an inner barrel has on your accuracy is that if it's not good quality, it ruins your accuracy. I had good results even with el cheapo mad bull inner barrels, it doesn't really matter, just make sure it's not something crappy.
