Are Alpharex headlights worth it? Depends. Here's why

I bought the pro's and then a good set of led bulbs. Purchased through square one off road ( state side I'm Canadian eh) and he helped me out with any question/issues I had. Never had any of these issues you are having. The bulbs I bought have a lifetime warranty. Bulbs and pros were around the same price as the Luxx but I now have lifetime on the led and not 2 years.. better option I'd suggest. Cheers

I have the Luxx lights and they’re well worth the upgrade. The OEM lights are awful at night, but the Luxx model is close to my wife’s BMW laser light headlamps. Clean, bright, white light even with the stock fog lamps.

Hey dude, your blinker issue happens to random tacomas and Alpharex will ship you a plug in module to fix it for free. They say this on the products page, on an included sheet in the box they come in, and in their online installation instructions. Also did you make sure to buy LEDs meant for projectors cause it doesnt seem like it. My LEDs that i put in are just as bright as your fogs but just cut off in the proper areas so not to blind oncoming traffic. And i had the same issue with the LED not fitting but if you just push the cap harder the LEDs will just click forward allowing you to close the cap up. Doesnt break the headlight doing this either. I can still remove, replace, and adjust the beam pattern the same as when they were new. Hope this helps you out.

Great video man I like the honesty about the kinda bad lightning out put haha. Was thinking bout getting these but was hesitant as to wich model but also not looking to spend 1k+ on headlights.. I currently run OEM light with LED bulbs and it works just fine only thing is its kinda hard to get the beam pattern ajusted right idk why lmao. I was surprised as to how bad the output is on the PROS tho and also the fact that you ran into issues because of switching the bulb is kinda sad.

you need the harness for the turn signals. when you install the harness they work fine.

I have the alpharex pros for my 11th gen f150 and I replaced the halogens for leds and I don’t have the turn signal problem. The dust cover bulges though because of the very little room in the housing

The whole blinker issue might be as to hyperflash. I know they offer something to fix them. I also think with the whole bulb situation, you might have to suck up the alpharex bulb price.

I bought these for my 13. The oem’s were just awful. So The markers and dtl’s are great. The projector w/ halogen bulb not so much so I replaced with an led. The intensity and beam are fine now.

I’m curious what leds you got? I’ve had no problems when I buy LEDs for my truck, now of course I didn’t get alpha headlights They were different brand but still fit properly and man it’s crazy bright. The main thing is the projector is what you want way better than the reflector style headlights.

You can, but it could mess up your turn signals like it did on mine. I'd just keep it halogen

Holy shit man that output on the pros really do suck 😱😱I'm happy I got the luxx edition, this will be my 2nd winter with them and didn't notice any issues with condensation last year so I'm happy about that, I just recently turned my DRL's amber instead of the white I think they look so much better being that my taco is black too. I also have the taillights luxx in alpha black and along with the sequential turn signal mirrors in black, its sinister lookin and the sequentials on my headlights pair perfectly with the sequentials on my mirror turn signals 👍🏽sucks that yours doesn't do the unlocking light sequence, did U get it figured out yet?

Good choice! Luxx is the way to go fs. haven't gotten mine fixed yet, I think its just a loose wire
