Thank you for mentioning the huge jumps in volume from one click to another. Volume steps are an important determining factor on whether or not I will buy a pair of earbuds. That's why I liike the Audio-Technica ATH-TWX9 and ATH-CKS50TW wireless earbuds models. You can adjust them both anywhere from 16 to 64 volume steps in the Audio-Technica app. I wish companies would be more mindful about using smaller increments in loudness in their earbuds' volume progression.
@nickquejada Жыл бұрын
I have a pair. Volume actually changes gradually, albeit very quickly. Learned to pay attention while changing the volume and let go of the volume control at the desired volume before the next stop. Bit of a learning curve, but I learned to appreciate getting to my desired volume in one go rather than working my way through several stops.

Hey Bob I know this is really random but it’s rare to come across someone that owns both the TWX9 and CKS50TW. I’ve been eyeing on these two and still can’t decide if I should spend that extra bucks for TWX9. May I seek your view and opinions in recommending one out of these two please?
@williamsbg1 Жыл бұрын
It's a tough call. The CKS50TWs are almost impossible to beat for the money. They have aptX Adaptive, a good sound stage, industry-leading battery life, and deep bass. For as big as they are, they're surprisingly comfortable too (at least for my large ear canals), and I can wear them for hours at a time without any ear fatigue. The TWX9s have the edge in sound clarity--but not by an extremely large margin in my opinion. I think the CKS50TWs are better for noisy environments (like the gym) because their combined passive and active noise cancellation is better than the TWX9 earbuds even though the active noise cancellation on the latter set might be stronger. If I'm just sitting around listening to music while relaxing though, I prefer the clarity and instrument separation on the x9s.

@@williamsbg1 that is so well put. The preference of use for both the ear buds is really insightful. Thanks!

I have come. I want some premium. Great review as always! 👏 The aspect of using it in the gym was not mentioned. Because it does stick out a little bit, what do you think of using the Free Byrd in the gym? Would it fall out or get loose easily? Does it still have a secure fit when lying on benches? Which would you recommend between the Byrd and the One Plus Buds Pro 2 in terms of sound quality?

Id say they're aren't failing to get true adiophole grade cans from Beyer you spend around $600 for a 1990 or 1770 pro and then Sennheiser hd 650's are $550 and those are amazing 😍 and then there's Audeze LCD2'S again amazing 😍 and both the later companies make phenomenal war buds and iem's

I have come. I want some premium. Also, nice review as always. It unfortunately gets worse with the MIY app and Mimi. There was an update of the app at one point that reset the sound compensation, but it wouldn't let me log in to my Mimi account to download the profile I already had until I did the hearing test again. Was otherwise a good update, however, and have to say that I'm happy with the hardware overall.

Banana for scale, that test is a great idea. I find that silicone tips loosen and the ANC goes out of the window when eating food. Foam tips need to become the standard as well as include 5 sizes would be great. I have the Technics AZ70WE and after using them for about 2 years I purchased the Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 (May 2023) and none of the silicone tips sizes isolate properly for me (the medium size is too loose and the large is… well too large). Any recommendations on Foam tips? Thanks in Advance

Hey guys, did you said that the xm4 are the best sounding earbuds on the market? Why i don’t want to buy them?! I always heard that the volume is too low and the bass in not so punchy. Common guys, convince me 😂 For me, the best out there is the senn’s momemtum 3 or the status audio between 3 anc
