Cash-in-transit robberies continue to plague South Africa's highways. In a recent incident this month, police engaged in a shootout with two suspected robbers in New Glasgow, Verulam, north of Durban, resulting in their deaths.
Crime expert Calvin Rafadi, Independent Crime Researcher Thabang Bogopa, and reformed cash-in-transit heist kingpin Trinity Msibi discuss the war between CIT robbers and the law in SA.

So true and have listen to a couple of his potcast interviews, you do get a sense he is a very intelligent guy. In those interviews he was narrating how they have planned and executed the heist or crime him and crew engaged into. Also what led him to thuggery lifestyle and also to reform his life.

There will always be a gap between security entities because in SA everyone wants to be a king of his castle. Sharing and development is a fear by many who think they will loose out if the work together or someone will climb the lader faster so all work in silos and limit the ability to succeed in the dealing with any matter.

Systems, Operations, plans, Projects fail because of the appointment of poor, incompetent management. Management positions should be treated like a sergeons appointment they need to have 90% pass for the appointment. I doubt out Sergeons have that but in layman terms who would you want cutting you open a 90% or a 30% achiever. No person should be elevated to manage until they have the skill and understanding of what management entails.

not always bcoz they imported from South Africa, they can only came from Zim to SA when someone bring them back to SA for purpose of commiting a crime. guns ryt now are being smuggled to Zimbabwe bcoz in SA guns are sold everywhere. some criminals might come from other countries yes but weapons and all tools are in SA.
