Inspiring video. I’ve just built a chicken wire mesh cage and collected up all the leaves from the lawn. Thank you Nick.

Love this! I do the same.I leave the leaves that fall in my gardens but rake up the pathways and put those in beds that aren't near the trees. Leaves from the lawn go in bags to save. Pine needles go down as mulch and the rest in bags also. It feels like "tucking" in the gardens. It's such a wonderful free garden amendment!

Leaves are gold for our gardens. I let them stay on garden beds. Collect leaves on lawn and put in a compost bin or in bags.

shall i remove them in Spring or can i dig them into the soil?
@The_RHS2 күн бұрын
You can dig fallen leaves into the soil in spring as long as they have started decomposing or are shredded, as this will enrich the soil and improve its structure; however, if there is a thick, undecomposed layer smothering plants, it’s better to remove them to prevent mould growth and ensure healthy plant development.
