Yes, the enslavement of people transcend the very concept of "race" and all types of people were enslaved to some degree. However, the chattle slavery that became widespread across the Americas has distinct features that may have been found to some degree in the old world but that which exsisted in the Americas took on an entirely different meaning. Yes, slavery in the Americas was driven by greed however, it was perpetuated by the creation of the very concept of "race".

Victims of the numerous wars since time began were taken by the winning factions as property. The de-personalisation of people of all cultures has unfortunately been a part of the slave trade. I called BS on that cat that is talking about the three strikes law and he said you can get arrested for one thing and spend the rest of your life in prison. I was born and raised in California, where the three strikes law first started! He is lying! The three strikes law was first made to replace the career criminal act. When three strikes law first started in California, it meant if you have two serious or violent felonies on your record and you get arrested for another felony, that is an automatic 25 years to life sentence. The first person sentenced under the three strikes law, received 25 years to life for stealing a pizza. They rewrote the three strikes law to say that if you have two or more serious felonies and you get a Violent felony, then you would be sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. They have since repealed that law in California, and now judges have the discretion to strike a strike and give you a lower sentence. It was not made just for bla×k people! I know a lot of wh×te people that was sentenced under the three strikes law to 25 years to life for petty theft with a prior, and other low-level felonies. It was in 2012, under prop 36 that California repealed the three strikes law and said the third strike had to be a violent felony. This has nothing to do with race, it has to do that crime and gang murders were out of control!
