Are Both Lighting's Mac Aura 19x15 Mover Washes Any Good? - DJ Gear Review & Demo

I got (2) of these for free from Rick Webb (Black Friday Live Stream) and they have been great for the 4/5 gigs I have brought them to. Super powerful and smooth color mixing. The only issue I had was one of the lights zoom function was getting stuck; took the plastic off made an adjustment and now perfect.

I have the shehds version. Same thing. Everyone should own 2. Tho I will say, I had 2 out of 4 not last long. One went haywire. One had the dmx connector go bad. Treat them with care as they aren’t made of steel

Question if you were buying your first set of movers. What one's would you buy? Wash or Beam. I keep going back and forth. On which one to get the ones in this review or the MH-150. I respect your opinion. I watch a lot of your content. Looking forward to hearing your response thank you!

How many people in an appropriately sized room would these be good for

These would have a place on any size of application. I think they'd be good for any size of wedding. I'd maybe dim them for a smaller wedding if your not moving the mover a lot

a lot of company's have this same lights these are all made in the same Wearhouse and sold to other companies to use the name on them shehds has these same ones as well along with about 50 other companies

I think for the money and the pan tilt they are a great light for the price. They will probably be my next light purchase down the road.

Great video! Any idea of how heavy the flight case is with both lights inside? I’m trying to get an idea if I can lift it into my suv alone 😅

they advertise with 270 tilt. but for sure they dont have 270

I may be wrong, but it appeared to be 270, at least the tilt seemed similar to other movers that advertise 270

@@DJDarylBennett scrolled down on their page the last paragraph lists them as "Tilt rotation:240 degree" thats what i think is realistic (the original mac aura has 232° and i think they mimic the same). i just dislike that all shops list every head as 270 and the worst i got was 180 :D but it was obvious von pictures and videos that it was less so i wasnt bothered. still i think they could just post honest values

What Both mover do you think you will use more? Aura or the 150 spots?

Mac auras are nice because they gradual fade, making them mesh with everything better. But I like the texture that gobos bring when they shine around. So probably the spots!
