3/8ths in. maximum is perfect for the small DIY home shop. And this thing is affordable from what I'm seeing. Man, when I first started shopping for these back in the early '90s they started at $700 ish in 90s money. Glad to see they've come down.

I have had one of these cheap assed Chinese plasma cutters for 5 years As a hobby cutter, they are awesome BUT absolute crap in 110v. 220v they cut like a hot knife in butter!

Let's be honest, these devices NEVER come with cords long enough to actually make them useful.

100% agree. I’m going to make myself a nice 10 foot, 12 gauge cord dedicated to these machines. Long enough to get me where I need to go, but not too long to create excessive voltage drop. I made one for my table saw when its cord ended up being too small.
