Many people only assume they know or understand what the Catholic church teaches. Some people are afraid to learn or challenge what they believe to be an absolute in their lives. Michele, I so much appreciate you being willing to listen and learn. Thank you so much.

So that we may be one :) With so many voices fighting against Christianity and many following those voices, we Christians need to love those who are on our side, for otherwise how can we convert others.....as it says in the bible "see how those Christians love one another"

Former Protestant here. I used to be one of those people who would be prejudiced against Catholic. Thank God for Covid. I was able to find many answers to my questions. I did many researches and studies about the Catholic Church. My mind was blown by what I found out and I was ashamed of myself. Now, I’m a Catholic myself. Thank you for this video! Leviticus 26:1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God. God detests idols; but Catholics have many statues of Mary, their saints and etc and practice idol.worship just like the Hindus, Buddhists etc Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Christ NOT Mary or saints can make intercessions for us Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Catholics call priests father even the pope calls himself Jesus Christ on Earth Please consider what the Bible teaches vs what Catholics believe and practice

@ Yannascotto . I do not know what you were researching or studying but it was not the word of God . 80% of the dogmas and teachings and the catechism is not biblical , and if you were reading and studying the scriptures you would not be in the apostate catholic Church which has become a cult . ARE YOU SAVED ?

You are so right! There's something about coming from a Protestant background that just sets you on fire when you discover the truth about the Catholic Church. Like the Church teaches, I believe there are many sincere Protestants out there who know the Lord and will see heaven even though they lack the fullness of faith. For me, in my miserable spiritual condition, I needed more. The Catholic Church was the first church that even told me I actually needed to stop practicing sin. That was something I desperately needed to hear. My sweet Baptist Christ rich was only able to tell me I was saved. I thought my faith alone would do the job but I always felt confused and never really saved. Just stopping my practice of sin, by God's grace, has been one of the things that has made me a different person. God's grace infused in the soul. That You Lord. Praise God!

I just wanted to say that God works....some even say mysterious...I never post on anytging I see on you tube....I have posted comments once or twice from what I remember....there have been two replies to what I posted....they show up in my email...what I have been struggling with lately is my ability to sin on demand pretty much whenever I want. I've literally gotten scaird down in my heart about not knowing if I will ever be able to stop on my own...I've been praying about this and needed spiritual direction....I have discovered that the only way that this could be overcome is by God's grace....I never knew that I could ask for it....and that he DOES IN FACT GIVE IT...the 2 posts that replied back to me are proof to me that I needed to hear that....I'm getting chill bumps just thinking about this.....yall both said something about GRACE....and that's exactly what it was....

That's interesting I read a few catechisms that confirmed that the Pope is infallible which seems odd History shows the popes'/ papal fallability allowed doctrines such as purgatory, paying for sins to be forgiven (indulgences), having mistresses , changing commandments etc It's very important to study God's word alongside any supplementary tools. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The reason why there is so many cradle catholics in the Philippines is that the Major Religion here is Catholic and that every generation inherits their faith from their family and because almost everyone has the same faith, no one really tries to dig deeper and just go to church just to attend without a general understanding of our faith. It is also the reason why many catholics is easily converted by cults and sects because of weak foundation. I'm sad that only Cebu has a group of very educated CFD's, I hope they expand around the Philippines.

most Catholics want the history, the art, the design and beauty, but not the power and transformation that God causes. They wrongly assume penance over repentance not realizing repentance is a gift, not human willed. Faith, grace and repentance all apart of the same mechanism. The Truth and Good news of God is his son and the heart transformation that happens. Rome teaches mandated cooperation. All of scripture teaches God causes the change, the increase and the walk in his statutes and rules. We can do nothing apart from God. Those repentant WILL obey, follow and serve. Not from will but Gods will alone. Otherwise self cooperation is a boastful act.

@@Saitamaaaaaaaaa123 i blame the CBCP on that though, mmmm. It's bcuz we are 80% catholics that they seem to think that they dont need to put effort in the spreading and nurturing the faith amongst filipino catholics. A lot of us are cradle catholics, and yes we need to have initiative too to learn our faith, but i can also see that our local churches dont really put effort in the educational aspect of the faith. Yes there are catechism classes when i was in grade 5 and 6, but they dont really answer those deep questions on WHY we are doing all these things and rituals. The philippine church leadership has been complacent for a long time bcuz of our dominance. Many of the top leaders are focusing on other stuff instead (like helping the NPAs and accumulating wealth and power).

Here's some truths of your faith In his encyclical, "The Reunion of Christendom" (1885), Pope Leo XIII stated that the pope holds "upon this earth the place of God Almighty." In the Catechism, can be found the following: "The Pope takes the place of Jesus Christ on earth...by divine right the pope has supreme and full power in faith and morals over each and every pastor and his flock. He is the true Vicar of Christ, the head of the entire church, the father and teacher of all Christians He is the infallible ruler, the founder of dogmas, the author of and the judge of councils; the universal ruler of truth, the arbiter of the world, the supreme judge of heaven and earth, the judge of all, being judged by one, God himself on earth." and also "The Pope can make and unmake laws for the entire Church; his authority is supreme and unquestioned. Every bishop, every priest, every member of the Church is subject to him." Here are some others…"The Pope is not simply the representative of Jesus Christ. On the contrary, he is Jesus Christ Himself, under the veil of the flesh." (Evangelical Christendom, January 1, 1895, pg. 15, published in London by J. S. Phillips) "Against this background of love towards Holy Church, 'the pillar and bulwark of the truth' (1 Tim 3:15), we readily understand the devotion of Saint Francis of Assisi for 'THE LORD POPE', the daughterly outspokenness of Saint Catherine of Siena towards the one whom she called 'SWEET CHRIST ON EARTH'." (Pope John Paul II, Apostolic Exhortation on the Consecrated Life and Its Mission in the Church and in the World, to the bishops and clergy, religious orders and congregations, societies of apostolic life, secular institutes, and all the faithful, given in Rome, at Saint Peter's, March 25, 1996) "The Pope is of so great dignity, and so exalted that he is not a mere man, but as it were God and the vicar of God." (Ferraris Ecclesiastical dictionary) "All names which in the Scriptures are applied to Christ, by virtue of which it is established that He is over the church, all the same names are applied to the Pope." (On the Authority of the Councils, book 2, chapter 17) "The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth." (Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Chapter XXVII, p. 218, "Cities Petrus Bertanous) "To believe that our Lord God the Pope has not the power to decree as he is decreed, is to be deemed heretical." (the Gloss "Extravagantes" o.f Pope John XXII *** inter, Tit. XIV, Cap. IV. Ad Callem Sexti Decretalium, Paris, 1685) "Hence the Pope is crowned with a triple crown, as king of heaven and of earth and of the lower regions." (Ferraris, «Prompta Bibliotheca», 1763, Volume VI, 'Papa II', p.26) "The Saviour Himself is the door of the sheepfold: 'I am the door of the sheep.' Into this fold of Jesus Christ, no man may enter unless he be led by the Sovereign Pontiff; and only if they be united to him can men be saved, for the Roman Pontiff is the Vicar of Christ and His personal representative on earth." (Pope John XXIII in his homily to the Bishops and faithful assisting at his coronation on November 4, 1958) "This is our last lesson to you: receive it, engrave it in your minds, all of you: by God's commandment salvation is to be found nowhere but in the Church; the strong and effective instrument of salvation is none other than the Roman Pontificate." (Pope Leo XIII, Allocution for the 25th anniversary of his election, February 20, 1903; Papal Teachings: The Church, Benedictine Monks of Solesmes, St. Paul Editions, Boston, 1962, par. 653)

"Are you saved?" The Catholic should reply: "As the Bible says, I am already saved (Rom. 8:24, Eph. 2:5-8), but I'm also being saved (1 Cor. 1:18, 2 Cor. 2:15, Phil. 2:12), and I have the hope that I will be saved (Rom. 5:9-10, 1 Cor. 3:12-15). Like the apostle Paul I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12), with hopeful confidence in the promises of Christ (Rom. 5:2, 2 Tim. 2:11-13)."

Good job , Keith. Will continue to view your videos. As one who went to Roman Catholic grammar school the updated Catechism that you read from has a deeper, logical reasoning to me latter on in life. I have many non denominational friends who have extremely negative opinions of the RCC. I get it. But in studying Scripture over the years and debating with the KJV only folks who claim biblical superiority, I have found the Catholic faith has historical, academic, scriptural 26:21 and spiritual resources that when studied and applied in the spirit of God can defend itself and actually impress others why it is still in existence and continues to attract believers and those seeking God. Like the nation of Israel the Church will be blessed and protected by God as revealed in the Scriptures. Dr. Taylor Marshall in an interview with Glenn Beck concerning Christianity stated that there are over 46,000 different Christian churches registered with the U.S. government. In the New Testament Jesus called for unity in His church. So we have only 4 Gospels of which 3 are considered synoptic, yet 46,000 different churches. I pray for unity with Christ for all those willing to believe.

Mary Magdalene loved Jesus more than his mother did? Where is that in the Bible?? I have never heard any stories about Mary and Peter from any Catholic. Those who went to the grave on Easter Sunday believed Jesus was dead, in the grave, and needed to finish anointing the body. Perhaps his mother had the faith to believe he had risen as he said. The gospels were not written to tell about the life of Mary so don’t expect to find more in them about her. The Bible itself states not everything is in the Bible. Jesus didn’t come to write a book but to found a church that he gave the Holy Spirit to guide. It is the bulwark of faith. God gave us the gospels through and from that church.

Oh please be honest...CATHOLICISM INSTRUCTS & BELIEVES & DOES "Mary worship" : bowing down to her, praying to her ( " Our Lady/ Mother of Perpetual Help -- READ IT WITH AN OPEN MIND), having altars & statues to her, devotion to her, looking to her, belief in her sinlessness ( only JESUS who is God is sinless), worshipping in certain sites around the world, asking her to be a mediator. These are things THAT BELONG TO GOD ONLY, or that God says NOT to do. He is to be worshipped not in a certain place but in spirit & truth. SEEK TRUTH...GOD'S TRUTH. THE ONLY REAL TRUTH. ❤🔩🙏 Not a man- made religion.

May I tell you Marianne, that you are not an idiot even if you think you are! Go easy on yourself!! The reason I say that is because we don’t learn everything all at once. Some things might pass us by, Other things might intrigue us, probably to the point of putting them aside until the answers presents themselves, or we decide to go back to finding out about it because they begin to nag at us to find the truth.

The English word "BELIEVE" (verb) in the Spiritual context and meaning is like a Collective Noun (ex. Family, Company, Choir, Herd, etc.) which comes with 3 Components for the Salvation of Mankind, "By GRACE of God through FAITH in Christ Jesus that manifests in good/righteous WORKS." St. Paul's letters to the Ephesians and Romans (ref. Eph. 2:8-9 / Rom. 3:20) say that "Personal WORKS" (Efforts Alone) and "WORKS of the LAW" (Law of Moses) can not SAVE us... But for our Personal "WORKS" (efforts) to be accepted as Righteous in the Eyes/Sight of God... "WORK" must come first with "GRACE" of/from/by God through "FAITH" in Christ Jesus... Therefore, in conclusion, the Spiritual Formula/Equation for the Salvation of Mankind is... [ GRACE (+) FAITH (x) WORK (=) SALVATION ]... (ref. John 3:15 / 3:36 / 11:25-26 /James 2:1-24 )... That is the ORDER of SALVATION (Grace, Faith, and Work) for Father God/YHWH is a "God of ORDER" and not of Chaos or Confusion... (ref. 1 Corin. 14:33)... Facts and Truth, Biblically and Logically speaking... Praise be to God in Christ Jesus... Amen.

I get what you’re saying. Scott Hahn made a comment on some YT interview I was watching, something to the effect of he himself having a “Protestant accent”. I understood this to be a speaking style or cadence that sounds more like a protestant preacher. Keith has that and it’s very effective, perhaps especially to Protestant converts or those contemplating entering the Church.

"And the whole people said in reply, “His blood be upon us and upon our children.” (Matt. 27:25) Now this has often been seen as the blood libel against the Jews. But then I recalled the Paschal Lamb, the unblemished lamb whose blood saved the Hebrews from the angel of death. So, the Jews in this Gospel, were, in a way, being saved by the 'Blood of the Lamb" as they were in Exodus.

First there was God. And with God was his word. And the word became flesh and dwelt among us. Sound familiar? The bible is Jesus' teachings. Keep reading the word, seeking the word and living in the word and by the word so that when you pass on to the next life you won't hear the word saying to you "depart from me. I never knew you." Romans 10:9-10 All of us can know whether or not we belong to the kingdom of God, because this very statement in Romans is not talking about the actions of the mouth, but rather what the heart tells the mouth to say. I’ll take it a bit further … no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says "Jesus is accursed!" and no one can say "Jesus is Lord" except in the Holy Spirit. If the spirit dwells within you, there are actionable behaviors that speed fourth that are independent of personal carnal effort. It does not matter where you go to church. The church doesn’t save. Jesus saves, and there are markers of identifying whether or not you are or not and there’s nothing wrong with saying you are if there are legitimate experiences with your life that demonstrate this. I hope that helps

@@Maximilian011 well, brother, let’s work through it When the regenerate sin they do not pass between these two categories interchangeably on a whim. The spirit indwelling would make no sense if one could lose the spirit so easily from a stray, sexual thought, falling into so-called mortal sin. God is not so weak that he can’t overlook your blunders to help you reach a finished point before death. Salvation is continuation is not dependent upon decisions of free will. Christ never says that you should keep his commandments or that you have the option to keep his commandments. He says those born again WILL. if you are Born again you WILL. John 14:15 "If you love me, you WILL keep my commandments. Did he say you can keep? Is it optional? No, he said you WILL keep. Look further… John 14:23 Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he WILL keep my word, and my Father WILL love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. Christ reconciles us to the Father for this benefit. Even when we were dead in our trespasses, he made us alive together with Christ-For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is NOT YOUR own doing; it is the GIFT of God, [9] not a result of works, so that no one may boast. What saves? Through what??? Are these related to you in any way??? Its a GIFT so that we cannot Boast. Meaning we cannot claim cooperative works as credit for salvation. Its ALL God through Faith alone and as demonstrates above, faith alone produces saving faith which produced compelled behavior. Works are a result, not “with”. John 15:5 Greek I am the vine; you are the branches. Those abiding in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. Did it say whosoever?? The ESV and RSV wrongly translate here but the greek says “those abiding”. Its active. Without choice or blunder from Human effort. There is ZERO human willed ability to lose this gift because the genuine nature of the regenerate is so bold and contrasted to the world. Being made alive is not a whimsical, flimsy transformation. Those truly born again of the spirit are radicals. They are personified radical changes. Sin can NEVER separate them from the Father. Salvation validity can be measured. Unsaved live unrepentant sinful lives. The redeemed do not keep sinning. They live a spirit filled walk of compelled action of intentional holiness. When they sin they regret with great struggle. They don’t just feel bad. They cry on their knees for help. Even from struggled mortal sin like lustful thoughts. The journey cannot be undone from the struggle. And the complacent who claim christ never had him. As one who struggled with Porn after salvation, am i to understand i lost my salvation 500 times a day until i Got a handle on my sin? NO. thats why the fruit of the regenerate is so vital. Its how we determine the sheep from the Goats. Its essential to remember the ungodly are justified by Faith for believing. The repentant still struggles because we must learn by the spirit to obey. And only those saved HAVE the spirit. If you could lose salvation then you lose the spirit and Therefore the ABILITY to choose God again or even understand him. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. If salvation were predicated upon holiness, then this would not be Grace, but basically what you can do for God to keep your salvation. Not even the historic ancient church fathers believe that. Eternal security, once saved always saved, these were concepts, not pondered, or disputed in the early church, because you could know who was for and against Christ by their fruit. 2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. If the old passing away is an action of the transformative nature of the spirit who is the power of God then Can the old that passed away be resurrected by the power of human will??? This would mean human will has “blocking interference power” of the spirit and power of God. This is why the idea of losing such a transformative nature is illogical. A butterfly does not Dee evolve by choice back into a caterpillar.

The few exceptions are when replying to a direct attack, or something very dangerous (like 'prosperity gospel'). Whereas, the John McArthurs and others, regularly pick on the Catholic church. Catholic teaching offers us true discipleship, not just the message of Christ's saving grace, as important as that is. I was baptized in the Baptist tradition, and the Church accepted that baptism when I converted last year. I love this phrase you used, Keith: "The relationship between grace, faith, and obedience" in justification. I learned this while I was still a Protestant, simply by studying the Scriptures. I sure wasn't popular during discussions in adult Sunday School! All I said was, "Grace and good works are inextricably entwined." They shook their heads and said no, that can't be true. They even ridiculed me sometimes. Protestants quote Ephesians 2:8-9 (as they should), but they stop there. What about v. 10? What about the entire chapter of Hebrews 11? What about James 2:14-17? Even Lutheran Pastor, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, wrote a book preaching against "cheap grace" (see "The Cost of Discipleship")...he went on to die a martyr's death at the hands of the Nazis while the Lutheran leadership cowered and said nothing against Hitler's regime.

In his encyclical, "The Reunion of Christendom" (1885), Pope Leo XIII stated that the pope holds "upon this earth the place of God Almighty." In the Catechism, can be found the following: "The Pope takes the place of Jesus Christ on earth...by divine right the pope has supreme and full power in faith and morals over each and every pastor and his flock. 653)

I was Baptised as Catholic when I was a baby. I don't remember anything but I do remember going to the Church for Bible Study and going to a Catholic School. I came from a broken home and only grew up with my mother who at the time as I remember, did not fully follow the Church and as example, I fell out of the Church and she never said anything. I remember getting the Eucharist and Confirmation and my mother being happy however I would end up in the Public School and never heard the words of the Lord again for some time. In my teen days, one of my friends mother's used to go a Baptist Church and so would my friend, each Sunday. It sparked my interest as she invited me to go to camp. I didn't know it was Christian Camp until I got there and noticed so many of the kids were not like me, my thoughts, my belief. At that time, I didn't believe in God and I did't not believe in God, I just didn't care to believe but made no effort not to. Anyways, during this time, they used to sing this song, "Yes Jesus Loves Me, Yes Jesus Loves Me, Yes Jesus Loves Me, the Bible Tells me so.". That kinda stuck with me but I just didn't want to get up so early in the morning on Sunday, so I wouldn't. In my teenage years I was told by kids that follow Islam that I should be a Muslim. The reason for this is that in school I love to eat bacon and that was their reason for me to be Muslim because bacon is bad food. Their other reason was that since I was a Black child, I should not follow a White Jesus who does not really care for me and it's proof because look at how White people treat Blacks. This is why you should be Muslims and we will be your brothers. At the time, I just listen but I didn't take anything they said seriously or even know what I know today. This is long but I'm almost done. To say my life was easy without hardship.. is an understatement.. It was hard growing up with a father and feeling lost. Lots of years pass until this day I met the most kind woman I have even known. I have never met a person with such a beautiful heart but deep inside, I could feel I do not deserve such a woman. One day I was just sitting in my car, I remember the Church I grew up in my young days. I prayed to God "Saying, Lord, God, I know I don't know you but can you seek me, can you speak to me, can you help me and can you Love me again?" It was Sunday and I walked into the Church, as it was like God was speaking to me directly. I felt the love, I felt the the Holy Spirit and the tears came down my face as the stress was taking from me. I remained in the Church, sticking to myself until the woman in my life asked if she could go with me. 2 years later I married this woman but before we could get married she needed to take RCIA course which is Catechism of the Catholic Church. You see, she is baptised but as an Anglican, so to have one even yoke, the Priest said that it would be best. During the RCIA course, my eyes, my ears, my mind, my heart and my soul opened up. At the end, I felt God's love and I wanted to know more. So when we were offered to Walk in Christ in the Holy Land. While I was in the Holy Land, I felt something I never felt before, a calling to defend the Lord God and the Catholic Church. Since the return from the Holy Land, I now a Catholic Apologetic and what I do at the Church is help people with the Answers they hard to find. There are many Catholics who know just enough but not enough and that is were God has called me. Today, I am so Blessed to have a Church family, a family of Christians who never want to stare me away. What I have noticed is all the non trained Catholic to Protestants who have darkness in their hearts but speak so ill about Catholics as a Fundamentalist, they think they know the truth but instead they don't speak truth, they don't even speak Martin Lutheran Truth. After being in the Holy Land I also found that many of the Protestant that are Anti-Catholic are American. If this story inspires you, please comment and if you have any questions, let me know.

Beautiful story. I felt a tear well up in me :). Yes, you are correct. Luther would be shocked to learn how his beliefs and teaching have evolved and changed since he lived. He had a strong belief, though different from the C.C.,in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist and a strong devotion to Mary.

I'm a protestant who is trying to learn more about what the Catholic church teaches, and this video was so helpful and eased a lot of concerns. I think a lot of the confusion comes because we have talked so much to former Catholics who have said that it is such a works based religion or that they never heard the gospel while they were in the Catholic church. I personally know a lot of these. Genuine question, why is there so much discrepancy? Do that many Catholics not understand their own faith and why?

Video time 13:20 : Well, The Council of Trent (which is still affirmed by the RCC) explicitly states in Canon 9. "If anyone says that the sinner is justified by faith alone, meaning that nothing else is required to cooperate in order to obtain the grace of justification, and that it is not in any way necessary that he be prepared and disposed by the action of his own will, let him be anathema.". I remember my first mass as a protestant; I was surprised just how much everything was based on the bible, I recognised most aspects and it's biblical source ( probably better than a catholic cos it's true the average protestant takes bible study more seriously, oh delicious irony), it made me realise I've always been fed 'incorrect information' about catholicism. I urge every protestant to attend a mass, and to just experience it, don't go in there with a combative mindset, just experience it. listen to what is being said, read about the mass beforehand to get an idea what is what, and any worth his salt biblestudying protestant will see how deeply drenched it is in scripture. the tragedy between protestants and catholics is this: protestants know more of scripture, but without proper tradition and guidance of the church, they misunderstand certain aspects, catholics are unable to correct these wrong conclusions because they have the tradition and guidance but tend to lack the study of scriptures.

@@theodoreritola7641I remember as a kid hearing adults argue about "once saved, always saved" or can you lose your salvation? Some said you can lose your salvation, while those who believe in once saved, always saved would argue that the once on fire Christian who began sinning again was never really saved in the first place. I consider it a useless argument. We all know people who seemed to be good Christians who later on became terrible sinners. There is no way for us to determine whether they were really saved initially or just faking it. So, just accept the possibility that no matter how close we might feel to God now, we may not remain that way. But that's why we have the concept of repentance, so that if we fall away we can come back again.

Catholic is religion. Christian is relation. We Christian are going back to our roots in the first apostles. The church of Corith, Ephesus, Antioch that were mentioned in the Bible are not catholics. So we Christian moved past at much earlier Christian time where truth was told and not corrupted by catholics. 50 million people were killed by the catholics but do you hear catholics admitting that ever since? The bible is clear. It's the fruit which you would see if they have the truth.

The real question that should be asked is, Are Protestants saved? Christians believe the Scripture (2 Timothy 3: 16-17) and trust its record as the written “Verbum Dei.” Christians also believe the promise of Jesus in Matthew 16: 18-19 which established the authority of Christ’s Church on earth. In addition, Christians also accept that the Eucharist is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord: John 6: 53-55. Since Christians cling to these infallible teachings of Christ and are members of His one holy catholic and apostolic Church here on earth, we must be diligent in inviting schismatics and Protestants to return to the one true faith. 🙏 Ave Maria. ❤

Me too! Grew up Evangelical Presbyterian. Four years ago I would have laughed and rolled my eyes if someone predicted I would become a confirmed Catholic. My journey started with a friend who recommended The Chosen. Episode 4 was huge for me. A few weeks later I discovered Bishop Robert Barron. His debate with atheist Alex O’Connor on the UNBELIEVABLE? youtube channel (Christian apologetics). Bishop Barrin spoke with such authority! I spent three werks strippung and staining our fence while listening to every Bishop Barron video I could find In 2021 I asked friends who are Catholic if I could attend Christmas Eve Mass. Something followed me out and from that day onward I attended every Sunday Mass! FINALLY! A church I wanted to attend every Sunday. I started RCIA in fall 2022 and was confirmed as Peter (that Chosen episode the finally pierced my heart in a real way) at the Easter 2023 Vigil! I am active in CHRP and also now a member of our choir. I LOVE my Catholic Faith!

most Catholics want the history, the art, the design and beauty, but not the power and transformation that God causes.

We were very, very fortunate. We grew up not only with our mom’s copy of the Baltimore catechism from the 1930s, but with our study Catechism from the 1960s. If we asked our parents questions, we would get pretty thorough answers and then sent to do additional research in the catechism. I remember mom had all of us learn the very first part - Why did God make you? God made me to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him in this world, and be happy with Him forever in the next. All things flow from that one statement. 🙂 There’s a wonderful old movie called Life With Father, and the family is Lutheran. It was set in the early 1900s and I remember watching it as a child. The mother is going over the catechism with the youngest son, and that was the question he had to memorize. I was so shocked that Lutherans learned the same thing. lol Also, there’s an absolutely hilarious subplot running through the movie about the father not being baptized, and he and his wife’s many struggles over that fact. Highly recommend as a charming, lovely, innocent movie with some good basic talking points.

Hey Keith, just ran into your video random YT recommendation, great job! Solid apologetics! Absolutely righteous to start with the Nicene Creed, it was a very comprehensive creed to unify the earliest generations of Christians who were starting to receive misinformation. Love your coverage of the sacrament of reconciliation. I subbed and look forward to more, and hope to see your channel growing. I believe your channel is what is needed in the world. Without having examined other vids, I’m thinking the Eucharist should be the prime topic, the body and blood of Christ. How our Lord Jesus lost basically all of the followers minus the 12, when he said to eat of His body and drink of his blood, or we will not have life within us. When he looked around and saw the apostles and asked them will you not go as well, and they basically said who shall we go, you (Jesus) have the words of eternal life). I feel is often and sadly rejected by Protestants.

"Solid apologetics"? You must be joking. Did you notice that Nester's presentation had very little to do with what the Bible teaches? Sadly, Catholics DO NOT UNDERSTAND the biblical gospel (i.e. justification by the imputation of Christ's righteousness). And when Protestants try to explain the biblical gospel to Roman Catholics, it's almost as if we're suddenly speaking a different language.
