Thanks Bob. I wasn’t sure if I would like the paints, but was pleasantly surprised considering how cheap they are. I’ve learnt over the years that paper is the most important material for watercolours, then it’s either paint or brushes depending on what the painting requires.

Hi Mark, glad you found my channel !! I use several different papers, mostly 100% cotton. Some favourites are Saunders Waterford, Millford, Arches. I occasionally use Bockingford, which is a wood pulp paper, but good for certain styles. As a beginner, I would recommend using cotton paper, if you can. It is far more forgiving and takes water better than cheaper wood pulp options. Hope that helps

Thank you. I was given these for free to try and was actually pleasantly surprised. For the price they’re fairly good ( about the price of one tube of artist quality paint for 12 tubes!! ) They are very under pigmented and have a loose consistency, but if anybody is on a budget they’re better off spending their money on quality paper instead of paint.
