I feel proud of my parents who can balance two cultures, cuisines and languages yet keep true to themselves in a country built on colonisation. The ‘brown’ parents have so much more to offer they’ve achieved more they’ve seen more and theyve worked harder.

The problem is most Pakistani and Bengali parents will not thank or acknowledge what kids do. When I was younger my mum didn’t but I didn’t accept her to. Older I got she did and I didn’t release how happy it made me. I have adult and teenage children and from a young age I would say thank you and say sorry if I needed too and celebrate the wins and the losses but had boundaries and discipline alhamdullila. Allahuma Barik mama you remind me of my mum may Allah be pleased with her.

I hv seen all most all his podcasts, I think his mum is bit impulsive, she is been through depression as well, she is supporting her son through conversations on podcasts, I think wajhee should be little patient n calm with mum, though at some point he is rite as well , bt mum is mum ❤ Love mum n nafia❤

I understand nafia was talking about Wajeeh west he does chai talk shows on KZbin...I have watched all their podcasts and I see both sides... in this particular episode he did get frustrated but he did apologize, but I can see his point and her point.... he has bought a house for them and he has done a lot, his got an older brother who didn't take no responsibility.... I think Wajeeh just wanted to express his done everything for his parents and now wants to do things for himself but it just escalated. The mother and son do have banters too... so I didn't think it was bad as ppl make it out to be.
