I remember when Kia was launched in the country. Everybody made fun of the Kia Pride which surprisingly became very popular. Decades later, Kia is still here. Only time will tell talaga. A big concern here is, will we have spare parts after 5 years? 🤔

Parang ako lang yan nung nag-aapply sa trabaho, kailangan nila may experience na. Paano ako mag kakaexperience kung walang gustong mangahas na maa-invest sakin na tumanggap ng trabaho. Same, how can we know their reliability and durability if no one is brave enough to take the risk of owning one. It will also depend on how well an employee will be train and nurture to develop, same with a car dpende na sa pag maintain at alaga ng may-ari. In my honest opinion, buy a car that we love and not the car that other tell us to buy. Because as we say, the best car is the one we love. RIDE SAFE and KEEP SAFE everyone!

Regarding the maintenance most Filipinos will always want to do maintenance outside the dealership even the vehicle is still under warranty, therefore the overall realibility of the car will then be compromised and the end result they will say that the vehicle is not reliable and the parts are not available in regular auto supplies
@jeffmaas9308
@jeffmaas9308 2 жыл бұрын
I'm not complaining and thinks its a great video. 1) Will they still be making parts in 5 years? 2) Will the plastic electrical connectors last 5 years? 3) Will rubber seals last 5 years? 4) Will they retain value? If you bought a Chery QQ years ago instead of the Mirage you made a mistake. Parts for the Chery are impossible to get, there are countless issues related to the cooling system and rubber seals and electrical issues abound due to electrical connections failing due to low quality plastics. Running a car through 5 years of milage in a short period of time is very different than having a car live 5 years. Will Changan still be in the Philippines in 5 years? will they still support owners with parts in 5 years? Will their service centers still do repairs on the car in 5 years? I test drove a Geely Coolray this week with 20,000km on it. Car ran great but the sunroof no longer worked. This is a dealership test vehicle, they literally pay nothing to repair the car, they would be the first to be able to get parts to fix the car so the question is why wouldn't they have already fixed the car. Will I be able to go to a local mechanic with a Changan and have them get parts to fix the car or am I forced to hope on their service center? What is the dealership network if the car breaks down out of town? If you buy a Toyota or a Ford you can get them fixed anywhere and they have parts supply chains that are 15+ years long. What will be the weight time to get a part on a Changan? The country of origin might not be the factor but dealership support absolutely is. 100,000km in 2 months is not the same as 100,000km over 5 years most manufacturers due simulated miles well beyond 100,000km and rarely do these vehicles ever show any failures.

I think it's totally fine to own a China-made(brand) cars. Especially Geely. They makes a lot of sales in countries like Russia and the Middle east... We are not living in the '80s and 90's that we need a car that will last for 20 years since our technology is rapidly changing from time to time. So I think if you have had these cars for at least 10 years you will need to change them because there's new technology available. Yes, all things are now becoming disposable. So at least you have tried or experience those technologies at a lesser price.

you are tragically wrong: we do need cars that last 20 years and *more* because MOST people expect to recoup some of its value when they either sell it or trade it in. The consumerist mentality you expose here is why people don't trust CH made stuff. You guys think everything should be disposable. You will never have a CH Toyota.

Great video, but Wolud be good to see a reliability video with more technical aspects. Like comparing engine compression with a new engine. Also share with us the full service record of this 100K plus vehicle. And other technical aspects. Also share with us pricing for parts that are common to replace, like suspension parts, belts, etc.. And prices for body parts that can damage in small collisions, like front and rear ligts, fenders etc...

For me, mostly owning Japanese cars, and some American cars, 100000K is actually not a lot (only about 62k miles). I have almost 300000k on my 2001 RAV4... I wonder if those Chinese cars will do as well? However, I did go to a Chagang showroom recently and they look and feel like solid, good cars. Like other comments, Hyundai used to be not so good, but look at them now. I also see a lot of Geely's driving around (another Chinese brand). I'm guessing the Chinese cars are pretty good, but will only get better in the coming years. No disrespect, but I would probably rather own a Chinese car, like this one, instead of a French car (nothing but problems with French cars, even to this day).

Good to know na ok pa sya at that mileage na pinabilis, meaning may laban ang chinese cars sa durability and reliability kahit paano.

The good thing is repair naman ng changan/hyundai branch and no payment, may 3 year tow assist and according to user wala namn silang binayadan. Main concern lang is, pano kung malayo kayo sa bahay eh 7 days repair more or less d mag cocommute ka. given na 1 year - 2 years palang bumigay na fuel pump. Don't get me wrong guys, not againts chinese brand since consider ko nga mga chinese brand since affortable and very competitive lalu na sa tech offer. and im aware na kahit nissan nagka issue din sa ac compressor nila na fix na din, will changan recall din mga units para ma fix? like certain model/year ng mux na may problem sa steering. Because of tofu project You see whatevrr brand of car you might want to have 1 thing need to be clear Most of car were not build in either EU or NA or even Japan But core component most likely is thats why reliability issue of famous car brand usually come not from manufacturing but from assembly But china ambigous law and corruption culture made people question even the core component of the car if its made in china Sure model car like the one made for sample were good but what about mass produced car ? Do they have the same quality check? So buying chinese product is like buying lotery if you buy the good one then its okay but if you buy the bad one well ..... While korean culture might be prone to coruption too but their company were mostly privatly traded company nowdays this give them some preasure to keep quality or at least thats the theory whilr chinese company were state owned they wont feel the burn on any scandal afterall the tax money will save them

I bought a Chinese made car. I learned from experience that #1 critical parts are crap. I thought buying a vehicle that as a company was 51% owned by Daimler-Benz would have been built with quality parts. Now with only 18,500 km on the odometer the Computer console was blown at 6,000 km and the vehicle is already on its 3rd clutch & clutch plate. Electronic connections are always coming disconnected. The other issue is part availability on common parts such as fuel filters, spark plugs, air filters ( common Issue in the Philippines " out of stock " or on back order with no expectations on availability.) Never again !

its brave for changan to subject this car to this mileage challenge. but a lot of missed points in this review. mileage is not the same as actual age (referring to time). so while it is commendable for the running gear and powertrain to withstand the mileage it is subjected to. Good review in general. But at times you overdramatize things. IE: one would be crazy to take a vehicle out on the road/highway with over 100K on the the odometer! In US miles that is maybe 60K. Barely broken in. Also everyone should remember "the aging" of the exterior and interior still has only been exposed to the weather, especially a lot of sunlight and heat. So with it only being a "year..plus old" it shouldn't been faded very much pr or the interior seats for instance still looking great.. the test is when it is 8..10 yrs old or more to really know how well it will hold up...rust or cracked peeling seat materials.. as well as creaks and moans...everything...with time...anf especially use will deteriorate. After all that I do think Changan makes a very nice product for the price....as you concluded for any vehicle to hold up one must "baby it" mechanically as well as physically...wash (in and out) , wax, and use proven cleaners/protective sprays to keep the interior looking GREAT many yrs on... as the old time saying..."you can't get more out of something than what you put into it" A vehicle is the most expensive investment aside from purchasing a home... so don't neglect either! Maybe you new car will last longer than you will!

other "long term" owner reviews have said that they experienced creaky dashboards on their Changan's after the 3 year mark or so (60k kms or so). To be fair, this happens to models from more established, albeit also shitty, manufacturers like Chevy and even some jeeps.

Very few cars companies are 100 percent independent so a lot of components are made by more well known companies so you're not getting a 100 percent Chinese developed car. If you compare prices and features, you get a lot more with a Chinese brand car.

100k kilometers is 62k miles and that doesn’t show how it holds up. A lot of cars look good at 60k miles and by 100k miles or 110k miles the mechanical condition and even the cosmetic condition declines by a lot

Thing is, you cant judge a car's reliability by just looking at the mileage, its pretty concerning to see how this car has degraded over just 1 year... This Chinese car has degraded more in 1 year than my 12 year old Hyundai... Imagine how it will look when it reaches 10 years... How many 10 year old, high mileage Chinese cars do you see on the roads?

You know why we are Toyota Country?because toyota has cheaper spare parts and maintenance,but real talk we all know majority are tipid in maintenance so japanese brand like toyota, maintained outside casa and use Local parts,yes local parts like fuel filter and some use genuine but majority buy at suking Autosupply.Chinese without a doubt will also dominate the market,because Japanese brand at present are already expensive and overpriced.

That discussion came up but it would be easy to spot if it is a brand new unit pretending to be an endurance model. Wear and tear on the body and cabin is consistent with a car that has been used for that type of mileage. Hard to fake those cabin micro scratches and the suspension feel of the car.

50k cp vs 1M car. I dont mind buying small electronic gadgets made in china because it can be easily replaced. But for big investment like cars that can stay for up to 10 years or even more, why risk buying china made cara when there are more reliable and time tested and proven cars out there? But of course, if you have the money to spare, then buying and trying out chinese cars wont be an issue.
