Sam curran cant belong anywhere. Bits and piece player and on his day , Giant Killer but he can become weakness if team rely on him. he will be good if he can bat better in Test and ODI. Then he become Bonus player. Does not have speed to play test matches. ODI is ok , t20 there are better hitters. he has not nailed any spot.

India’s first World Cup was won by players like Sam Curran , the sum of those players combined effort made us world champs. Versatile players should be given more responsibility and pushed up in the order wether it’s bowling or batting to get the best out of them

If Curran wants to make it in Test cricket, then the focus should probably be on getting up to standard to be the Stokes replacement in 2-3 years. I suspect though that a lot of other prospective all rounders will also see that and will be looking to get their game ready for International cricket. Given his height and pace, I think he would need to do that as a batter who supports a bowling attack, and he probably would need a couple of years back playing county cricket, batting #4 and averaging 45+ to show he could make it as a test #6. I think the more likely is that he becomes a white ball specialist

He's just turned into a back-of hand bowler, where he bowls 16 out of 24 balls or more, which is so much predictable as a batting unit.

Guys, deep das gupta is a nice guy. But if u r looking for in depth analysis, then u got the wrong guy. Indian commentators barring Ravi and dk, are absolute waste of oxygen. Don't talk in depth analysis with Indian commentators, especially with Harsha bhogle. How that dude survived all these years is a miracle. He is good at studio but not at commentary.

He's never become the player he could have become because of the T20 contracts. If he had continued playing red ball cricket for Surrey and England, he would have developed the batting and/or bowling skills to be one of the best all rounders in the world. The big IPL deal in 2019 was, from a cricket development point of view, the worst thing that could have happened to him

He is really good at one thing, top order batting. IPL, T20 blast, hundred all really successful comps. He’s not a finisher and he’s not someone I’d bowl each game only when the wicket suits him

No way.. he is much better & is touted as the replacement for Ashwin in the future.. Sundar has already performed well in Aus.. in test cricket whereas Curran has no significant contribution outside england in test cricket.. Also, Sundar has already actually proven to be a better bat than Curran

@@yashpatankar221 Curran has that series against india in 2018, where he played extremely well. Hes also had a few useful cameos of 40, 35, 25, and a few fifties throughout his careerm hes also significantly better bowler than Sundar, he gets two wickets a game, and has a much better average and is much more consistent with his lines and lengths, and his much more threatening to batters. Sundar has played what 3 or 4 tests, cant base him a better bat based on those tests, and he hasnt done anything with the ball, even in helpful conditions

There's nothing wasted. He never had any special ability. Could bowl around 75mph, and could hit a ball a bit. But most importantly, he's not a good man....
