@@abcb1683 not true, u can find top of the line cleats that are from a year or more ago for cheap. U can find them at outlets and places like Marshall’s. I got a pair of adidas predator accuracy + which is the top of the line last year laceless model which retails for $370 cad for only $50 cad at the adidas outlet in Toronto. It was the last pair they had and I snagged them right away. $50 cad Is a little over $30 usd now u tell me if that’s cheaper than the last takedown model

@@abcb1683 Yea there is dude, I bought a pair of Predator Accuracy .1 Mids at 100$, not that cheap but if you're willing to have a look around you'll be able to find something at a heavily discounted price, I suggest even checking out second hand sites for regular clothing, sometimes people post boots there that they've worn once or twice and wasn't personally a fan of - letting you buy them for way cheaper

Guys you dont need to buy the really big brands like adidas, nike or puma if you are on abudget buy from brands like umbro,joma,lotto and couple if more they are quality shoes and pretty good(they also have some higher brands shoes which cost more)

The nike phantom gx 2 pro are a amazing boot! They shape around your foot very quickly and they are super comfortable. On sale i have seen some amazing deals too.

Easy, 300/400/500 they worth every penny for professionals, even semi pros, its basically their daily tool that easily paid off with their salary. For amatuer or sunday league players, like most of us here, which anything more than 200 it wont be 'worth it' by the value regardless even if you have the money

I tried on £200 odd adidas X the other day. I don’t know how any pro wears them, they were the worst boot I ever wore. I’ve tried a few of the top end boots on and they fit awful. I’m 40 now and I’ve always loved boots but they are nowhere near these days.

The pros don't really have the same pairs as us, their pairs are made to measure and they have more expensive and more comfortable insoles that match the exact shape of their feet.

@@_gary_ they do higher up the pyramid but when it comes to league one, two, conference and below these guys are buying off the shelf boots from pro direct and the like. It’s just not good enough from the big brands. I remember when I used to play a lot in my twenties I’d buy top end boots because you could just feel the difference but in a wierd paradox these days I still play over 35s and I’d rather have take downs than most top level boots.

Today's pairs are more performance-oriented than comfort-oriented; they're extremely thin and very light, so they don't offer much protection and softness. If you like the pairs of the past, you should try looking at the Copa for Adidas or the tiempo and GX2 for Nike. Or, in a similar way but more expensive, the mizuno pairs.

I got some mizuno leather boots, (need to check the name and it is for turf) from Japan and it is so cheap. I am also using Adidas Predator Edge 94+ leather one and the Nike Tiempo Legend 10 Pro which is so much better than the Predator edge. And it costs less than half the price
