I definitely escaped a hellish ordeal, I see my family members who are happy with their work, are paid more than I ever was as a lawyer, work 40 hours a week, and take 2 vacations a year! Work doesn't have to be a hellish ordeal.

People in the position usually would not openly talk about their negative experiences but it does not mean that they don’t exist.

yes, because the profession turns against those who are still in law and speak the truth about what goes on behind the scenes

Also, I got some rude, negative comments on videos where I was critical of going to law school and the legal profession. You can't make everyone happy, and everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion, especially if based on real-life experiences.

Agreed, I think it's so important for people to share their honest experiences.

@@former_lawyer yeah many lawyers are stuck in a cycle of shame and feel alone and that is where depression and suicides happen

There are definitely terrible bosses/partners and miserable places to work (in any profession). I think most former lawyers are happy and relieved to get out of that rat race. Such as when my relative, a former biglaw partner, was in prison, he was probably relieved to no longer be so stressed out trying to make money all the time. I look forward to discussing this more with you!

I think there is definitely a lot of relief!

I have an unrelated question. can a KZbinr along with her estate lawyer send a letter by email to other KZbinrs telling them not to delete anything they have electronically ( videos, emails, etc.) without a judges order?
