Good tip. Makes sure u never break open the barrel unless u Intend to shoot a pellet. Dry firing will absolutely kill ur piston. I’ve seen it with nitro pistons. Same thing with gamos. When I was selling mine. The guy dry fired it and broke my piston.

Happy to see you shooting your gun with air guns i have all ways sighted mine in a short distance really in the back yard as long as you have some timber boards behind your targets so the slugs will just get stuck in the timber you seem to be very capable with that type of gun wait till you buy more.👍

You mentioned you wanted to upgrade the scope. A little something ive learned with my gamos is they are very hard on scopes. To help that ive bought dove tail to picatinny adapters from amazon. What they do is help with the felt recoil in your scope. I have shot thousands of pellets out of my gamo's and i beleave that the dove tail to picatinny adapter helps to save your scopes.

@@ryansumners3153 oh my goodness, thank you for that tip on the adapter. I will see if I can hop on amazon to see if we can get one. To be honest, the thought of any of our picatinny not working never crossed my mind. Most of our scopes and mounts we have are designed for picatinny. I’m sure I could have reused the scope rings from the stock scope but I definitely like your idea a lot better of the adapter. Thanks again

So one thing about break barrels is they are hold sensitive meaning hold it the same way and hold it lightly don’t squeeze it or shove it into your shoulder you want the gun to just recoil

@@rykerstoybox The gun likes to be held by whats called a artillery hold meaning you let the gun recoil freely like an artillery gun and that improves accuracy

Hold the barrel if possible when you cock it even if those have a beartrap safety out of the box (Mines are removed to be able to decock them) if it fails the barrel can either slam on your fingers or bend itself upwards in the best case A better scope and Jsb Heavy or Hades 10.34grains and it should do pretty okay for a budget break barrel! Glad to see you guys playing with different airguns

@rykerstoybox Basically it prevents you from being the bear in the trap 😂 Even if you press the trigger the barrel will not slam up unlike mines where I removed it / I can hold the barrel and decock it while hunting or whatever 😁 But you still don't want to trust that too much. Adjusting the scope with it opened was a bit scary to me even if in theory nothing should happen even if you bump the trigger ❌

Ok so basically when they say 1300fps it’s a marketing scheme in reality if you had a 177 pellet shooting that fast it would shoot past the sound barrier and de stabilize the pellet so badly then it would jump into going under the sound barrier making it even worse so really a good speed for a 177 pellet is around 900 to 800 and that’s really how fast those break barrels shoot

@@rykerstoyboxthey use alloy pellets, which are extremely light and not very accurate. They like to market most FPS means better and in some cases its not. Its mainly a marketing tactic.

my dads friend has a break barrel but im pretty sure you can put more than 1 pellet in at 1 time don't do it unless you researched it though.

Hi guys some good brand pellets to look for are h&n they have so many types and they have kits with 6 different types in tubes with the names then you can find the one your gun likes and buy them in tins allso predator polymag all these are the premium pellets 200 in a tin and air gun darts ryker will love them packs of 12 if you gun is powerful darts will go deep into timber you will need dig them out.

NO... your target should be set up around 10 to 15 yards to set up your scope, even helps for wind accuracy. and clean the barrel before sighting it in.. and don't use the same name brand pellets.. and then see if you can hit your old pellet CANs at 40 to 50 yards..😅

Also on the pellets, I had another buddy tell me the same thing about pellets pretty much. He basically said don’t even buy them from big retailers store.
