I have the same perception as your husband. I'm not looking for friendly people, but a kind of amability and elegant way of interacting with others. Sometimes I also meet such very polite people, but only sometimes, unfortunately.

Yes, after spending some weeks in Spain this summer, I realized even more how different it is in Germany!

I had a friend from Germany and she herself said she would be considered rude.

I'm German and I wouldn't say that Germans are more rude than in other countries. But I feel in general they are more cold and maybe even distant than for example in Greece or Spain.☺️🌞
