Which type of games do you primarily play: tactical FPS or tracking-based games? Do you think a glass mouse pad would suit your gaming style? 🤔
@InsaneActual Жыл бұрын
its going to a massive learning curve having little stopping power you will have to stop the mouse with your wrist which is stramge at first but its consistent which is why i like it.

Always interesting to hear other peoples thoughts. The first time I tried the Skypad, I knew I wouldn't be using cloth again for a while, it just felt so 'free' by comparison. Note that I found the skypad too fast with nil stopping power to boot, so I've been around the houses a bit and explored the Atlas, Cerapad Kin, Original Cerapad, Wraith Cosmic Glass, and Superglide, without a doubt my favourite surface is the Cerapad Kin with the Wraith pad as the runner up. I love how easy glass is to maintain, and the effect the more controlled pads on my aim is actually a boon for the games I play, Apex, OW2, COD etc. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Mango.

Glad you took the time to hear my thoughts on em, I feel like it really hasn't been practically discussed from the CS/Val perspective which are huge in there own rights. Yeah I'm with your top picks (I want to try a 500x500 cerpad) as of now I feel like Wraith and Cerapad are tied for me bc they have the most practical balance in speed control when compared to the other surfaces (which are all still very different from cloth). With the games you main, yeah these surfaces are magical, no movement error really makes these such a satisfying surface to play must feel like a dopamine hit everytime you get a frag which IDK why it feels that way for me but it does and its amazing - so bizzare how it has that effect for me lol. Thanks for the comment my guy means a lot :D

Personally as someone who started off mnk on a hardpad (plastic one from corsair) on a ps4 when I was 12 with high sensitivity and input lag so my mouse control was id say above average (like 3cm~ish) switching to a pad (skypad 2.0 around the end of 2021 and purchased 3.0 a bit over a year now) was like switching from console to pc, It just felt so freeing and like I overcame a wall with my progression I feel like its more of a tool after you've gotten more comfortable as I believe getting as close to my hand as possible is how I can aim the best through the lack of friction Also to a certain extent I live in a more humid country and when my 3.0 feels more controlled when its hot and when the enviorment gets colder it feels faster

I play cs2 and currently using superglide w fingertip grip for over a year now. I would say that I love glasspads. It made me realize that I need to be calmer when I play my game. However, not only that, it hugely benefits me since I use edpi of 336(0.21 w 1600dpi) and low sens compensates the inherent nature of glasspads. Huge loss of controllability is less noticeable on low sens and it gets way better after the learning curve. Flicking is amazing as there is way less friction with your instant mouse movement. Overall, the pad itself is very niche in demand but as much as it is niche, there will never be an alternative to those targeted demographics.
@ravencl10 ай бұрын
One underrated aspect of glass pads I feel is how it can affect your improvement. Especially if you are relatively new to fps and aiming, it can help develop a good foundation for proper mouse and tension control in a way that cloth pads dont provide.
@giff74 Жыл бұрын
First of all the Superglide looks awesome and it would be glorious to have a consistent mouse pad, regardless of weather, and that never wears out. However, I main CoD, Valorant and Fortnite and I'm terrified that I'll never be able to stop hit shots when I have to. Good review, thanks for taking the extra time to give us a reasonable point of view.

Right?! It’s a beautiful glass pad for sure. The perk of consistency and long term durability does seem attractive no doubt. You’re 100% in the right to have this concern, honestly it’ll come down just how good your fine control is in game and are you willing to commit to using the pad. Because in my and my friends experience when you use glass pads the highs of frags are higher and the lows of whiffing are far lower and make you tilt crazy fast. Cheers for watching! Glad I could bring a fresh perspective to the glass pad scene! I’d def try to cop a glass pad from somewhere where you can return it easily if you’re hesitant or look into the 2nd market like r/mousemarket!

Honestly....glass mouse pads are just like any other medium we use. It's just all placebo, you could do just fine on a cloth pad using faster mouse skates and vice versa....it's all just placebo. Look at what the Pro's use in games like Val and CS.
@bleachinmyeyesplsАй бұрын
Not placebo as the materials are fundamentally different and does affect aim. But comfort far out weighs this. The reason the different types of pads exist (soft, hard, control, speed, glass) exist isnt because one is better than the other, its simply because some people fine one more comfortable and other people find another one more comfortable.

If your hands normally sweat to the extent that they are fully wet not just "humid" (especially even when it's cool) you likely have a condition Hyperhidrosis. You can get prescribed topical treatments to prevent it. There's also Botox if topical treatments aren't effective.

Where is the increased wrist strain. Good ergonomics would have your wrist lifted off of the mouse pad.

Any notes on how it has continued to wear over the past year? Wanna make sure it can last at least a year without a noticeable change in feel/scratches if I'm gonna drop ~$100. Yours is the longest-term review I've found so far. I hate how filthy neoprene gets and I just had my Cordura pad start to delaminate. If this pad is effectively not "disposable", the performance is just a bonus.
@justanon85875 ай бұрын
The glass pads to my knowledge don't really wear down not to say they can't but my sky pad 3.0 I got like 5-6 months ago has zero wear at all the only issue you will run into in terms of wear is your mouse skates aside from that the pad doesn't really wear and is also super easy to clean
@joshw.27395 ай бұрын
@@justanon8587 i ended up buying one shortly after posting this. i was just worrying about scratching since i know from experience that glass skates arent immune to that. It seems like if there is grit on a glass pad you are much more easily able to see, feel, and remove it. I air dust it and then wipe it off occasionally with glass cleaner. haven't noticed any change in feel or looks.

I use glasspads in tac fps games. I peaked diamond in valorant and top 2% in cs2... make of that want you will, but I think thats at least decent. I also aim train at least 1 hour per day. with Glasspads its like with high sens. You can use them, the thing however is that you need to train A LOT to get used to them. Once you got the precision to keep calm enough to use these surfaces for very static fps games, you can perform as well, maybe even better than you can with cloth pads. If you just want to play the game of your choice and don't train your mousecontrol or you are a casual player, stick with cloth pads.

While this is for sure an issue that doesn't make them shit they literally have sleeves and such to remove that issue and yes I understand not everyone wants to wear a sleeve but you're putting your skin on glass for extended periods of time ofc it will stick
