Are hormones being used in UK carp fishing?

As somebody that started carp fishing in 1975, let me tell the difference between old school carp anglers and now school carp tigers, old school carp anglers are generally very knowledgeable about all things carp related. Now school carp anglers generally know f-k all! I heard about this recently on the banks of burghfield and instantly knew it is utter shite! If you know even the basics of how carp live you would know that for several reasons this cannot be true. I’m not going to expand on that comment, what I will say is if you’re really interested do the research, get some knowledge and then you can form some opinions based on something rather than “blah blah blah”. As far as collective mental health is concerned, social media is the worst direction the human race has ever been in and where it leads will not be pretty. There's a body building formula/protein powder that's very expensive per gram some have apparently used with great success. The catch at all costs brigade will do what they do. That said if it's human grade protein , attracts fish, it's just an edge albeit an expensive one.

I would say someone worked out how to put a large quantity of bloodworm in because that would put large number of carp on the bank in winter

Some of the top carp lads have something in their bait they are out fishing others by 20 fish to a couple or nothing in some instances yes there very good but there not that good bit foolish of them to publicise some of these big hits they may not be pheromones but they have discovered something for me if I had a bait that was simply irresistible to carp it would take away some of the challenges of fishing in the first place

It’s definitely an edge if used correctly heres what aa baits say about DMPT Recommended inclusion level is 0.5g to 2g per Kg of base mix. Can be used up to 2g per Litre of liquid in bait soaks/dips. With this ultra-strong additive, less is more. If used too much the bait WILL NOT be taken. Always use gloves, do not taste / ingest or inhale, keep away from eyes, pets and children. Use only in hookbaits (lures) which will not be digested. It is not allowed to be fed to fish and animals in general according to EU decree

Seriously. as a seasoned angler this is nothing new, in the early eighties I knew of an angler who would use his missus used sanitary products to wrap his hookbaits.
