Visit Chandigarh. Winter is about to start here in North India. Temperature dipping down very fast specially at night. Soon it will touch 5°. And if you visit Himalayan states they will be frozen soon. Experience the white caped mountains and snowfall. Visit Shimla, Manali and Dharamshala. In trains, You are supposed to sit at lower seat during the day and sleep at allocated berth (i.e your one was upper) during the night time. There are three bunks lower , middle and upper. They use middle one at night only( middle bunk is the back rest seat of lower, you have to pull and make that bunk) although upper one has advantage he can sleep at day or night time.

When you have tickets for Sleeper Class in Indian Railways trains actually you have a seat to sit down & a birth to sleep in the night!! You could have occupied your seat at Number 3 on lowest birth. You had 8 seats & 8 births in the section you were. 6 seat/berth plus 2seat/side births near window by the passage!!

I honestly don't care about what anyone says. A true rail fan must love every kind of trains. I watch trains from Germany to maglev trains in China to the old rusty and vibrating trains in Tanzania. BTW, I am not here because someone mentioned India (unlike many others) but because I like trains. My favorite trans are the Gautrains of South Africa (yes, even more than Chinese and German trains).

Visit Central Part of India specially Madhya Pradesh for wildlife , sanctuary , Gwalior fort and palace , Khajuraho - world heritage temple, Bhopal the city of lakes also famous for ancient painting of bhimbetka and sanchi stupa , a hill station of Pachmari nice view with sonmuch greenry so many Waterfalls there . Why TF you people don't research before doing anything, then you are gonna cry 'india is such a bad country' you probably did the wrong thing that's why. There's literally 3 different classes in one train , you should not travel by general class because it's not for you people. And there's always 2 types of toilet 🚽 one is Asian one is western. There's also chair cars , Ac 1, ac 2, ac 3 , you should travel only by them not with general class. And remember always book tickets 🎫 atleast before one week before travelling to get reservation if not possible then get a emergency ticket. There are different counters for Local and express trans . There's two types of trans local for short distance (1-3 hours)and Express for long distance.

Bro you choose one of the worst compartments possible. If you had chosen at least an AC compartment then it would be much better. If you want to try high-speed trains then go for Vande Bharat or Amrit Bharat trains. And if you want to experience the most luxurious journey in your life then go for the palace on wheels. Good news the government of railways will be launching the first Vande Bharat Sleeper train between December to January, If you want to try the modern sleeper train then go for that.
