They're going after Irish farmers just like they're going after the farmers in the Netherlands...all in the name of climate change...if Ireland cut its emissions to absolute zero tomorrow, it would not make one iota of difference to the climate, the biggest contributor by far is China and India and they are not going to stop burning fossick fuels any time soon. If anybody actually wants Ireland to cut emissions effectively, they need to open up the debate on nuclear because as things stand today, that is the only realistic option. It's certainly not a good idea to make farming more difficult when 150 million people are expected to be starving by the end of this year as a result of Ukraine and Russia

Couldn't agree with you more.,and even if we cut production here, the likes of the Brazilians will make up the shortfall, whilst cutting down the rainforest help facilitate it.

I don't understand the argument against livestock numbers, it's a cycle of carbon and animals eat carbon stored in plants, eject methane into the atmosphere, methane(ch4) breaks into carbon dioxide and water, the carbon dioxide then get utilised by plants. There is no addition.

Thank you for the explanation, I'll use that in future arguments against greenies

GMO feed contributes more emissions from the cattle as it disturbs ther stomach in production of dangerous gas ,grass fed is more natural ,and over 100 million cattle eating GMO in South America is acceptable and deforestation

De register land !..Give farmers and their families the right to remove their land from the land registry.. Data Protection Laws protect citizens from exploitation in guaranteeing their names and property not be held on record by any organisation....This is an intrusion of farmers rights as citizens and will have most importantly a negative effect on animal welfare ..which is the most important factor here...there are no citizens more micro managed and messed around by government than farmers and it must stop and stop it will.

This is a corperate takeover of family farms. Food is scarce and farmers have for the first time in years just started to make money from milk. Corperates see this they want this so they sponsor ngos who advocate for the belching cows theory. Eventually it makes milking unprofitable. Next thing you know corperates buy up the land at cut price sue national govements in investor court or lobby to have the belching cow laws removed on the basis that food insecurity is a bases of inhumane conditions for the world poor and they clean up. Monsanto tryed the same thing in the us with the patented seeds where they attempted to claim an entire farmers crop because he used their seeds. If they allow this people in ireland will go hungry and corperates will make millions. I'd be asking serious questions as to who exactly is funding the green party funding the vegan lobby and funding the belching and farming cows theory. For ref I would reg use 4000 litres of desial a week moving goods around ireland

A global famine looms, and the lunatic greens want to slash agricultural production throughout the Western world. Greens aren't just annoying, they're extremely dangerous, and they need to be stopped. Sri Lanka should serve as a warning to the world of what happens when greens start interfering with agriculture. Last year, Sri Lanka's,r loony green government made organic farming mandatory. It's led to a collapse in agricultural production, millions starving, food riots, and now their country is completely bankrupt due to the cost of emergency food imports, and the loss of their main export earner, tea.

It's a climate accord not a treaty and an accord can be departed from at any time ..Canada have left the climate accord as they have said they cannot afford it..Canada !?! Founders of Green Peace ..!. We are filing to likewise leave the accord and want that filed ..Ryan has just set green politics back one hundred years and most of his party agree as the departure' speak for themselves from his party membership... Ryan can campaign to get back in the lunchbox with the led light bulbs.

No compensation for the 22% cull farmers need another income If this goes ahead. Disgrace, farmers need massive grants for solar panels like 80 90% to make up for the 22%cull. An this would solve the energy crisis.
