Are keyboard enthusiasts TOO PICKY?

Along with Gabriele, Mario is one of the two sales reps at GMK that handles the majority of the communication with all keycap vendors. Mario takes care of the vendors during the whole project from quotation to delivery (prices, feasibility, approvals, invoices, payments etc.) and aims to make the processes as easy as possible for the vendors. He also manages GMK's social media + the GMK merch for meetups.

Yup! The redacted portions of the keycap will wear off over time with use to reveal the actual letter underneath :)

Like seeing behind the scenes even though I don't really use GMK anymore. Ceramic keycaps are the only way I go now for my main board. Got GMK on backups/office keyboard. My favourite ones are GMK Night Runner and Toxic, got both of them

@@redhouscv2792 they don't wear out, if you like the look of glossy keycaps they can't be beat. They sound like marbles or dice when being typed. I love the weight of them with mode 65 makes my keyboard nearly 10lbs. Only downside is colour options, they can break easier but when I've had a stem break on my U key they replaced it free of charge which GMK wouldn't/couldn't due to the nature of how they make sets The company I got them from is called Cerakey

Interesting how their trays all look nice and high quality in their factory floor but arrive in our hands like they dug them out from an archeological site. My first ever GMK set I bought in the recent black friday sale had the twisted stem problem on 1.5u bottom row so I'm not sure about buying GMK again though...

the answer is indeed obvious: no. you're just not able or willing to spend money on a luxury product, and that's fine. but there is no reason for them to depreciate said luxury items just because some people are not in the market for them.

Figures he's more of a coordinator/manager than a salesman. GMK sells itself by the vendors they work with doing all the heavy lifting of advertising for them. Not sure why gmk even thinks they need salesmen the company is infamously silent always hiding behind the vendors they work with. I remember emailing gmk when I bought my first set and I was experiencing delay after delay and wondered, are they just lying? Will gmk back up their claims or is something going on and this guy just pocketed our money? So I emailed them and they told me not to email them and to only contact the vendor I bought directly from. So them pretending to want to be more transparent and interactive with the community comes off like a bad joke in my eyes.

this is not how it works. you're not their customer, you're the end user. they communicate with vendors and vendors relay the info to you. you've been told exactly how it works.

I don't see the hype behind GMK. They're ABS, not PBT. And for the price they are..I EXPECT PBT keycaps. I'll stick with 1:1 clones that are not only cheaper, but also PBT :)

Say what u will abs will always have superior sound and colours. Only thing pbt is good at is shine resistance but even then it still will shine eventually and the texture of shined pbt is frankly disgusting.
