Are Kilt Companies Stuck in the Past?

Why Aren't Scottish Companies Trying New Things?
Why did the Scottish stop wearing kilts? Or are kilts making a comeback?
It seems that Highland dress has not changed much at all sine the 1930s. Is this a good thing? As the Scottish national dress, should the kilt and kilt accessories never change? Or is there room for innovation in kilt fashion?

Not really highland wear. Given the desire so many women express for POCKETS in dresses and skirts, I would think there'd be a market for kilted skirts with pockets, esp, interior pockets as opposed to the outside pockets so common on Utility Kilts. David
