YES! They’re worth the hype, the money, the wait, the hunt and THEN some! Giiiiiirrrrl my Louis agendas have truly changed my life lol. I’m serious. The psychological effects that I get from planning my life in luxury literally motivates me beyond belief and I’m so super happy to plan in it every evening and I use my desk agenda as a journal cover so I’m motivated to journal everyday. I actually bought mine because my rationale was if I’ve paid THAT much for a planner, you better believe I’m going to use it and I do every, single day. My other rationale is Louis is classy, sophisticated and chic just like me lol. I won’t need to buy a planner for another 20 years so I already know I’m getting my money’s worth but in 20 years, I’ll just be buying another Louis 😂. I agree that it doesn’t matter who sees it except me lol. It’s such a beautiful work of art and SO well-made I’d pay double the price and still save money over the span of 20 years.

I really want one (A5) and I finally could afford to get it and could not find one any where! I have been a single mom so it’s a really big deal for me but I’m not going to give up! But it is my dream to get one

LV and Chanel both have a timeless classic look that never goes out of style. I think that’s why people buy luxury. It’s a status symbol which comes at a premium.

Thanks for the pros and cons. Having both a planner business and a preloved luxury business I’d like to point out that preloved prices have skyrocketed. Nothing wrong with preloved but if you are only saving say 20% I would buy new. You will be happier. Say your rings are gapping… you will get those rings replaced for free. That’s not always the case with preloved. In which case you will pay for the repair. Ive collected LV for 35 years. Never had to return a newly purchased item. Maybe I have just been lucky. I bought a preloved one for lesser price. Around $350 cad for mm. It was not as used for that price though I kind of having a hard time turning some pages and the rings are making a little bit of noise. Still it is pretty sturdy and that I will be using for years to come than buying a lot of planners. The agenda itself is classic. When it gets worn out I might buy a new one. For now I’m pretty happy with my purchase. Thank you for the informative video :)

Love the video; I feel it’s worth the hype.😍 From my experience, when I use the “notify me option” my wait-time for a LV product has been approximately 2 weeks.

Great video! I feel they are not necessary (you can plan “cheaper “) but it’s worth it to me if you can afford it and it makes you feel good. I’m so here for my planner flex🤗💕

I completely agree with you in saying that, if it keeps you organized, it's worth the money. Personally, I want a Louis Vuitton planner but I have 2 cloth and paper ones and I absolutely love and don't want to change. If I buy an LV planner, it would be a collector item only.

Hey Rana :-) Great video. I was really surprised when you said they were hard to find. I live in Europe & here in Germany they are actually always available in all 3 sizes & all canvases/leathers For other LV SLGs it is the other way round. For example: in Germany it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get your hands on a Mini pochette / pochette accessoires, whereas these items sometimes (with a little patience) pop up on the USA/CA websites or you can order them through the phone I guess Germans are just not as much into planning… which makes it really hard to find nice inserts. We just do not have shops like cloth&paper, salty twenty two, 8lotus and so on & shipping from US/CA/UK is reaaaaally expensive I have a PM mono Agenda which I love & use- but I would not buy another one because I think the pricing is just ridiculous.

I personally wouldn’t buy a LV. First because the colour/pattern is not my taste and second I am more than happy with the quality and designs of my Kikki K planners. If you genuinely love a luxury brand planner and can afford it then it would be worth it as you use everyday. Another great video 😀

I think the word luxury is thrown around all willy-nilly. LV and Chanel planners are expensive, but not well designed in my opinion. Both have haphazard layouts I believe are simply paint by numbers. For serious planners in this community, a VDS is what is considered luxurious. Even a Moterm is better in my opinion. Remove the LV logo and no one would covet these things. IMO.

I have a Louis Vuitton planner and it's definitely NOT worth the hype especially in light of the recent price increases. It feels quite cheap and flimsy and the 'leather' interior feels thin and like plastic. I don't expect it to last a lifetime. If you're looking for a luxury planner where the price matches the quality, I would recommend Smythson. I also have some lovely filofaxes made of beautiful Italian leathers but they're older models (15-20 years old); sadly the newer filofaxes don't even come close in quality.

Yes this video was filmed before the recent prices increases. I agree that one would have to think long and hard before placing an order at these current prices. It's funny because I was eyeing the planners and notebooks from Smythson so thanks for sharing your experience love🥰

I’m trying to “get it “- but I went with an Agenda 20 personal planner- lots of paper, accessories, clips(Hobby Lobby) for instant gratification. There are also other sizes. I still will likely get a Pm- preloved- at some point.

I have the desk agenda cover and I love it! It said it was sold out but still was able to buy one and was shipped to me in like 15 days. Dunno where the store shipped it from but I still got one. Wasn’t a fan with the ring planners due to the rings leaving marks on the inside after a while, I know it’s expected but just stuck to the cover. And use my own planner.

@@ranaplans I like it but it’s just I like that I can pull my planner completely out when I need too and put it back in and I can change the covers as well. So I may go from LV to just plan Croc skin cover, like a teal sting ray skin cover, to the plain simple HP soft cover, back to the LV. I have too many and woman have purses I have agenda covers lol 😂

If you are a fashion addict it’s worth it. I have the 1 MM and 3 PMs. And I can say they are overhyped. I love seeing the videos of the planners with the VDS or Gillio planners. The rings are bigger and much pocket space.

Definitely beautiful planners! I have the MM and enjoy it but I do feel the rings are very small for what we pay. I prefer the larger rings on my Moterm but it’s definitely not as sleek!

I definitely think LV is overpriced, especially for canvas. That being said, I have 2 MMs and 1 PM (all pre-loved and authenticated). I love how squared off the spine of the MMs look when the planner is full. It’s so appealing to me! I’m even thinking of selling my last two Gillio Compagnas to fund another MM!🤷🏻‍♀️

I cant wait to get mine! I bought a mm prelove excellent and under retail. Gm is new called SA to order 3 weeks to get here. I dont want the pm. Its too small for me. The GM is like my desk for home and mm take with me. Maybe this will help my momma brain focused more lol. Thanks for the tips.

I love the look of the LV agendas. I ordered a fake one and changed the ring size just to see if I would want to invest in a real LV agenda and I’m glad I did because my agendas are chunky and not all of the months would fit. I love my Personal size Moterm no matter what I stuff in it it fits. So o just use my Moterm and I’m finally at planner peace😊😊😊 This was a great video!!!! I wish I could show you my planner.

Love how honest you are about issues with the rings even on an expensive item - I have a 40 year old planner with Kraus rings which are still in perfect condition! The LV patterns are just not my style so I wouldn't spend the money personally. I have a selection of A5 and Personal Filofax and Kikki K planners that I swap in and out of, and most of them were bought pre-loved in excellent condition. I am not a huge fan of K-K rings though - the levers don't feel strong enough to do the job, but I rarely need to open the rings so I can cope with that anxiety once in a while! I bought the LV monogram new and think it’s worth it. I know if I wanted to, I could sell it in the future for more than I paid for it. It’s crazy, but that’s LV. I would NEVER spend $1000 on a leather planner because leather isn’t as durable as canvas.

I've tried the lv leather planners and they're heavy when compared to the canvas planners. I prefer the canvas since I sometimes carry my planner in my bag🥰

I have a preloved Louis Vuitton pm that is great and have eyeballed a GM size. Too pricey right now for me. I’m happy with my A5 Erin Condren rings and also have an A5 Kikki K. But someday I might be interested in a new GM or desk agenda LV. Never say never. 😀

I've seen people put a6 paper in the mm agenda (personal size) but then can't use side tabs. You would have to use top tabs. Hope this helps😊

I think that something a new planner owner should know and be certain about is the size that fits the buyer’s needs. I can say that I purchased the pm size three times before settling on an personal size. Two of my pm’s I sold and one I repurposed into a passport cover. The personal size is super comfortable and fits me like a glove. Another thing to consider before jumping into the luxury planner wagon is how expensive it is to fill it. I’m not even considering the premium cost of LV inserts, no no no! Even buying Cloth and Paper or 8Lotus or any of those companies inserts, they are E X P E N S I V E! Aside of the cost of the cover, setting up a planner is costly, at least $150 in inserts and stickers and page flags and dividers and dashboards… And hopefully everything you buy is to the buyer’s liking and usefulness, sometimes they aren’t. Would I get into the whole LUX planner thing again? ABSOLUTELY! But I would be more selective in the things I need and the things I invest in. Rana, I can’t believe you sold your Epi planner. You made a lovely flip through of it and it was perfection. Anyways, love today’s video.

Yes I definately agree that setting up a new planner can be very expensive which is why I think being selective is a great idea. We don't NEED all of those accessories that we buy lol. Yes the epi is a gorgeous planner but the one I had just didn't want to lay flat (the original one I bought did but there was gapping in the rings🙈😂). I have returned my LV GM planner and waiting for a replacement and so annoyed it’s taking them over five weeks and I still don’t have the replacement. Very very annoyed 😒 the gapping in the rings is ridiculous for such an expensive item. My Filofax Malden is such a better make and rings are solid. Really disappointed with LV

I feel that the Louis Vuitton planners are definitely worth it . I use my Louis Vuitton agendas everyday. I have 4 Louis Vuitton agendas . 2 GM agendas, 1 MM agenda and 1 PM agenda.

I bought a GM monogram ring agenda online and it turned up with 3 rings with massive gaps. I told the online team who ssaid there’s nothing wrong with it so I brought it into a boutique. They verified that it was defective and send it to Singapore for repair. So a month later the “repair” arrived. I was so excited. Opened it up? Same rings!!! Exact same ones. I went back to Louis Vuitton and they said oh we checked the system and eventhough they told u it was repaired they didn’t because they didn’t have the parts so they tried to make the rings meet. The rings were still not meeting and it was all scratched. They had one other GM agenda in stock and I had a look and the rings on that one was even worse! We Js ended up sticking to the first defective one. I’m so disappointed

If you can afford $500 for a planner cover, instead of $50, by all means... But there's a lot of things I'd rather spend $500. For instance, I can buy 10... That's TEN cheaper planners. Who knows if in 10 years I still want to be in that size? Besides, who's going to see it, with all these lock downs. 💖🌞🌵😷

Thanks for sharing your opinion love. The nice thing is you can definately sell it if you change sizes and get most of your money back (depending on its condition). I totally respect everyone's right to use what makes them happy. I like to trade out covers frequently and use several different Agenda 52 and Carpe Diem covers that I got on clearance for $15 and $10 respectively. When I want to move on, I donate them. Obviously, I am not a luxury planner user but I love the diversity of what we use in the planner community. Your planners are beautiful. TFS.
