Malayalam industry is already making PAN India movies. But the Pan India audience have to learn to appreciate it. For example you should checkout Traffic, Takeoff, Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, Ustad Hotel etc to name a few. It took the Pandemic for rest of India to sit up and notice the industry. There are still people in Delhi who cannot locate Kerala on a map, so what the industry has to do us marke it's movies which it is doing but it is also upto the Pan India audience to understand and appreciate another culture.

As malayalee I must say "God is in the details". Bollywood had already can come up with excellent movies such as Laapataa Ladies,Tumbbad etc., That does not means we don't need usual masala movies. But it need to have good content and story telling with details. Else it wont get connect to audience.
