madrid AND barca are ahead of them in terms of revenue and profit. the united stock price has been dropping for the last 18 months too and you can halve any prem league team's 'revenue status' because the money windfall they got from the TV deals doesnt reflect on proper business acumen in terms of individual club output. most premier league teams are piss poor but 10 of the the top 20 richest teams in the world are in the prem even when only 2 or so of them are even midtable standard. most would even struggle for top 4 in ligue 1 but are floating in money due to some very shady handshakes

The man has an ego larger than life and it would take a miracle to remove him. But imagine what Poch could do with the likes of Greenwood, our fullbacks and a lot of the youth in general. In my opinion I think OGS has been ok 1. He's got handed all the sh*t that all the previous managers has provided the club. 2. His United side is actually very close to hitting top 4. We're only a few point away from Chelsea. 3. He has provided confidence amongst the players. 4. Our defence has improved a lot by the signings of Maguire and AWB. And we have gotten more than expected from Dan James. 5. This season OGS has been very, very unlucky with all the injury problems. I've still got faith in him, I can see that things are improving, but maybe a little bit slow. Like if u agree!

What I Think They Should Do: - Hire Arsene Wenger as Director Of Football With A High Wage On A Short Contract (to ensure he comes and its a low risk as hes on a short contract) - KEEP Ole until they have the right squad to challenge, let Ole get through the tough times and then hire him as an assistant manager and get in a Poch/Tuchel/Naglesmann. - Offload Young (£5m), Jones (£15m), Pereira (£15m), Shaw (£25m), Mata (£10m), Lingard (£25m), Matic (£10m), Fred (£25m), Bailly (£20m) in the next 2 transfer windows even for very cheap prices just to get there wages off the books. It'll add up to £150m (not included Sanchez as no one would buy him). - Sign a mixture of smart/cheap signings with big money signings. I'd go for in the next 2 windows 1. Bruno Fernandes (big money, but would solve Utd's creative crisis) - £50m 2. Mariano Diaz (unwanted at Real, could get him cheap and would be decent backup) - £15m 3. Ibrahim Sangare (Toulouse could get relegated and hes a very good, cheap player) - £20m 4. Federico Bernardeschi (Not playing and would be a value for money signing) - £30m 5. Marc Bartra (Still a very good centre back, would be good for Utd and cheap) - £20m 6. Marc Cucurella (amazing prospect, could be cheap as Barca are stacked) - £15m 7. Tyler Adams (looks like hed become a world beater, should sign him quick) - £25m 8. Jack Grealish (Would be a good price for a very talented, creative player) - £35m 9. Yan Valery (Talented prospect, good backup to Wan Bissaka) - £10m - 9 Signings, 3 this window, 6 next window. They need a big rebuild. If they got £150m for the dead wood, spending £70m is nothing and this would heavily improve the squad. - Give Ole an assistant manager role with a high wage, for the commendable job hes done. Give him a long contract perhaps with the same paying contract he had as manager and hire a big name as manager and really push for being a mainstate in the top 4/for the title. - After Arsenes contract is done. Offer a contract to Paul Alexander Mitchell (Leipzig Head Of Recruitment) as Director Of Football with a decent wage. - Improve training facilities and repair the stadium (dont rebuild) so Utd can become a stable club. - Let players come in the Academy and over the coming years, repay the debt with selling players you signed for cheap (Tyler Adams, Cucurella, Valery, Sangare) while replacing with alike players. - UTD will be on top (im an Arsenal fan)

Ignoring the league position, we have been playing shockingly bad in most of our games. Can't string two passes together and the team has literally no idea how to score a goal against a low-block defense. It's embarrassing to be spending hundreds of millions a year and to be outplayed by the likes of Bournemouth, Newcastle etc. In a normal season, we would have been 8th-10th and with 0% change of making the top four. The only thing saving us is the inconsistency of others

The thing is they were willing to buy huge players for mourinho but multiple world class players rejected them because they didn't want to play under mourinho. Years of signing superstars hasn't worked and ed Woodward has been stung so many times by superstars who have flopped. with the club in huge debt and not playing in the champions League you cannot expect them to make big signings like that. All the players they bought in the summer have done well so I think they're giving ole the chance to stay, build the squad around the young hungry talents without big egos and not expecting the results immediately and that's probably for the best.

Manchester United are a well ran club at the end of the day because the owners see them as a business and or franchise (sadly) and therefore ran like one. Although I agree they could be ran a lot better to turn a even higher profit being one of the biggest clubs in the world. In terms of the premier league there are no club ran worse than Newcastle United. Crippling lack of investment while Ashley leeches the clubs for everything its worth whilst simultaneously devaluing the club and pricing endless interested parties out of a takeover. Sub-par youth development, recovery facilities, the training ground is that of a league 2 side. People talk about change like it happens overnight. It does not. Ole has improved Fred, Martial, Mctominay and Rashford, as well as bringing Brandon Williams and Greenwood into the first team and they have been great. And all of his signings have been very good. AWB and Dan James especially, Maguire haven't been quite as good as we hoped but he's still much better than any of our other CB's. Ole is 5th with United, Moyes, Van Gaal and JM hardly did better, with arguably better squads. Ole has not proven himself to be better than them, but nothing he has done with united warrants him being labeled as worse than them either.

Really enjoyed this. Everything said I’ve been thinking. Apart from Wan Bassaka who while is a great defender is really poor going forward. Attacking fullbacks are really important in the modern game and we don’t have any. Brendon is promising but he is right footed playing on the left.

ManU could do no better than bringing back Dean Henderson, establishing an experienced captain who has been at the club longer than a season (Rashford, De Gea), and just giving youth experience until they become a more solid squad. Sadly, the throwing-cash around for big name players tactic hasn't paid off. It has created a toxic atmosphere at the club where big money names like Pogba are choosing to under-perform and not play just because they don't want to be there anymore.

Ole has done as well as can be expected with the pieces he has had available. Yes, both he and the board should have got more players in the Summer but I doubt Ole was the guy who held back on the buying... Everyone seems to forget that SAF stank to high heaven for his first few seasons...he needed time to mould a team he could make into contenders. Ole needs 2 things - time...possible another 2 summers, but hopefully just another 2 windows; and a board that plays along with him and supports him rather than screws with him like they did the other managers. An example is how Lukaku left - I would assume that Ole expected a replacement for a want-away player but the deal was closed so late in the window that they didn't have time to close on a new option...
