Although the pen's definition is a lot more specific even if contained in the definition of "marker". So even if you could say "pens are markers" You can't actually say "markers are pens" as there are many situations where the definition of a marker doesn't apply to a pen. It's like real numbers and integers, all countable integers (2, 5, 0, -6) are real numbers but there are many cases of real numbers not being countable numbers (pi, e, literally any number with any decimal or fraction) Pens are markers, but markers are not necessarily pens
