If a new party comes to power , they will reverse many of the good things. In the interest of the nation, a good leader has to win and it is his or her responsibility to make sure he/she manages the political and strategy side of it. You are unhappy that he lost ; similarly many of the people who look back feel the same way. The nation lost so there is no point respect from his supporters. He should have crushed Congress like Modi and won. There is a reason why we have politicians as leader so they can handle the ugly side of politics; otherwise we would have financial experts, market experts. Economists, people with PhD in rural development and agriculture etc etc running the country which is great but they cannot win the elections.
