Soak the pieces in almost boiling water. The glue comes right off. You have to be careful of the labels on the jars they will come off also. I'm sure you can take tweezers and just dip the back of the jars in the water. Hope this helps!

I’ve heard people say they use a heat gun or hairdryer and get it near the plastic and it comes off the display easier that way

I'll have to give that a try!

Thanks to you, I asked one of the managers at my Target if I could have two displays from Minibrands and Miniverse, and he said yes as long as they were empty! I got one Retro Minibrands display, and I lucked out and got the Hello Kitty Miniverse display! Thanks for telling us about that!

That’s awesome! I’m glad you were able to get them. Not all the employees are carefree like that, but I find most are.

I would definitely try the heat method.. Maybe a hair dryer would work.

I think the bday box is absolutely the best display box. I've gotten 3 so far j each one was super easy to get the items out. The glue was either still wet or peeled right off. Even contained the sprinkles. Def worth taking if ur able. One even had a mistake. So I figure, with resin in the bottles!! The HP ugh most was pretty easy and the lifestyles was a pain. I managed to get em all out but that glue was a beast! I luv my display boxes. I have multiples off all of them even the tall holiday boxes. I think it's worth it to get em even if generally speaking u don't get sprinkles or resin. I've noticed some of the new ones do have sprinkles or mica powder in them tho. I did learn esp on the lifestyles. Heat is ur friend. I was able to fully clean off all the teapots but it took a good bit of work to do so.

I'm definitely going to have to try heat next time! I have yet to see the birthday or halloween display boxes in the store yet. I had to order my capsules online.

Some of the pieces I've gotten are literally melted and warped from the glue, it's sad that people who steal once again ruined things for everyone else.

I have a heat tool to shrink wrap clear plastic gift wrap. I thought about giving that a try. I have the HP box and a spa box and everything is so covered in glue. Before, people were stealing the displays and now they can’t give them away and they are clogging up the shelves. There should be a better solution.

Heat is the best way to get rid of that type of glue - so could you try putting it into a low heat oven for a bit to make the glue gooey? Then use a craft knife to carve it off. (Obviously don't burn your house down trying!). Or use the tip of a glue gun & poke it at the gluey areas.. or possibly you could try a heat gun very carefully.
