Canada goose is overkill unless you’re out for hours during -45 weather LOL. Most people go from their car to a store and you’re only outside for a minute or two so expensive jackets are kind of a waste.

Great job on the videos! For how expensive it is, the functionality of a Moncler jacket can be matched. Most people don’t need a jacket that keeps them warm in sub zero temps and would be just fine with something much cheaper. Moncler and Canada Goose are just a fashion choice at that point, which is fine, but not something I would buy.

Which brands do you prefer? I agree that Moncler is not worth it but I think Canada Goose makes good quality jackets that are very warm but expensive.

@@MensFashionFiles For a puffer jacket I think Id rather go with Patagonia or North Face. I have a Carhartt active jac from my old job which does its job nicely, and a wool overcoat for my current job so I’m not really in the market for one. I don’t doubt Canada Goose’s quality but I just think most people don’t need a jacket rated for 20 below just to walk outside in 25 degree weather for a few minutes. I’m not knocking anyone who wants one for the fashion, it’s just not my thing.

I bought a fuchsia Moncler vest in November and as soon as I put it on I knew that it was going back immediately. For $1300 it shouldn’t have felt like the vest I had just purchased from Amazon a few days prior. I still love the brand and will continue to buy items that I think are worth it…. But the vests aren’t one of them.

The problem of Nuptse is it's not that windproof, cold air can travel through easily. But you can put it inside of a triclimate jacket (keep the outer shell, replace the inner layer with Nuptse), it gets a lot better

You have a tendency to compare apples with oranges. Why not compare a North Face Summit Series coat which is designed for the colder environments, not streetwear? Still in the $800 range but a real comparison.

Moncler isn't a Porsche, it's a Fiat disguised as a Porsche. A Porsche in a lightweight puffer would be a 1000fill power jacket, a Porsche in a durable puffer would be Outdoor survival Canada. The Moncler is a Decathlon jacket which costs 15 bucks to produce sold at the price of a house.
