I do want to warn the people that I know who are lost because I love them but I also don’t want them to think that I think I can do God’s job and I don’t want them to shutdown, and think I am just trying to shove my beliefs down their throats and I want them to know that they have a choice to make for themselves and that I am telling them because I care about what would happen after their life on earth is done

@@lisadooley3872 your approach to talking and open dialogue is good, really hold on to that. Also really understand that Mormons believe in Jesus too, He is the cornerstone of the LDS faith. If you approach it this way that the Jesus you love is also the same Jesus Mormons love then you have no barriers to start with. If you approach them as Mormons don't believe in the same Jesus (typical evangelical line) then it's you that has created a barrier. Thank you for this teaching, Allen. It is the best I have come across since leaving the church back in 1990. I am an ex-Mormon. I am originally from Utah. I divorced my husband and moved away from Utah after I finally realized how deceptive the Mormon church is. I took my three kids and moved to California after I became a Christian. Those were tough years, as my ex-husband fought me every step of the way. I am happy to say that my children are all saved now and serving as Pastors and teachers and worship leaders. Also, many of my family members are saved! God has redeemed our family and we are on a different path now. The sad thing about this video is that most Mormons will not watch it because they are afraid. They are warned not to watch anything or read any materials that contradict the Mormon religion. If they do, they are considered apostates. It is sad that they put so much fear into their members. I was very afraid once upon a time- I carried tons of anxiety, so much that it made me sick physically and mentally; but I finally could not stand it anymore and I got brave enough to start reading the Bible and praying to God for the truth. He revealed it to me in the most beautiful way. I pray for the rest of my family and Mormon friends every day; that they will come to know the truth about Mormonism and have the same opportunity to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. I am a worship leader at our church in Hawaii now. I love worshiping the Lord and I’m so grateful to be free from the bondage of Mormonism. Thank you again and God bless you!

@@brandonbeltran2219 besides the Catholic Church part, what about the creed do you not believe? Who do you say Jesus is? A literal son of God born to a Heavenly Father and mother? A person we will one day be equal to because we will be Gods of our own worlds if we complete the required work in the temple? That is what I was taught as a Mormon. First, I didn't go through the veil doing signs & tokens I'd been taught going through my Temple endowments. Second, none of their prophets were indeed true Prophets. I was 42 years old at the time and the new knowledge at the truth of God... Shook the very foundation of my belief system. I came back ( into my body) & told my husband what happened & in spite of us both holding high leadership positions in the church.. I could no longer attend any service there. My closest friends and family disowned me, now calling me the daughter of perdition. I got re- baptized as a public show of my belief in Jesus. How do you feel about the teachings of Paul the Apostle? He spoke of baptism for the dead. Do you believe that is unnecessary in today's time?
@kiraasay13842 жыл бұрын
@@stanleyhall8951 Hi Stanley, The practice has as its basis the misinterpretation of 1 Corinthians 15:29: “Otherwise, what will they do, those being baptized on behalf of the dead? If the dead are not at all raised, why indeed are they baptized on behalf of the dead?” This is a difficult passage to interpret, but we do know by comparing it with the rest of Scripture that it does not mean that a dead person can be saved by someone else being baptized on his or her behalf, because baptism is not a requirement for salvation in the first place (Ephesians 2:8; Romans 3:28; 4:3; 6:3-4). The entire passage (vv. 12-29) is about the surety of the resurrection, not about baptism for the dead. What was being baptized for the dead? It is a mysterious passage, and there have been more than thirty different interpretations put forward. 1. The plain meaning of the Greek in verse 29 is that some people are being baptized on behalf of those who have died-and if there is no resurrection, why are they doing this? 2. Either Paul is referring to a pagan custom (notice he uses "they," not "we"), or to a superstitious and unscriptural practice in the Corinthian church of vicarious baptism for believers who died before being baptized. 3. Either way, he certainly does not approve of the practice; he merely says that if there is no resurrection, why would the custom take place? The Mormon practice of baptism for the dead is neither scriptural nor sensible. Baptism for the dead is a practice that was common in the pagan religions of Greece and is still practiced today by some; but it doesn't change a person's eternal destiny, for that is determined while he lives (Luke 16:26).
@stanleyhall89512 жыл бұрын
I don't agree with you of course. Why then did Jesus have people baptized? John the Baptist baptized. You say it is unnecessary for salvation. Correct. From the prophets I gather its important for exaltation which is different than salvation.

Having been in the Mormon church for over 50 years but no longer a member for the last 4 years ( I am now a non denominational Christian) I found your commentary for the most part very accurate, namely but not limited to: I like the use of the Galatians scripture in the beginning and I like the Nephi scripture that you used at the end to demonstrate how they put the cart before the horse with the saved by grace 'after all we can do" philosophy. The entire concept of God being a Man etc was spot on also. You might want to do is learn the proper pronunciations of their characters (Moroni and Nephi) , even if they are fictitious. It just makes it sound like you know what your are talking about when speaking to the Mormon audience. There were really only two other points that were not quite right. The first was your statement that of Jesus being married and the second is that Hell is reserved for all Mormons that turn their back on Mormonism. Here is an accurate answer to the statement of Jesus being married from Fair Mormon" 1. The easy answer is that no, Mormons don't officially believe that Jesus was married. In fact, there is no official Church doctrine on this issue. Individual members are free to believe as they wish concerning this matter. (Some believe that He was married; others believe He wasn't. 2. Regarding the statement of Hell for ex Mormons, it is a little more complex than that. Their actual belief is that Hell is for those who deny the Holy Ghost after what they call "Having their calling and election made sure" through the Holy Ghost, which would not apply to the average member. Too much to get into here but if you really want more details, I can provide later. There are also several interesting details that you scratched the surface on regarding the Book of Mormon (BOM) and the KJV of the Bible. Joseph Smith did indeed take it upon himself to correct what he though were translation errors in the bible, but while doing so, he left several of these phrases in the BOM as they were, which ironically matched word for word what he corrected in the KJV of the bible - leaving the BOM verses the same while doing so ---- OOOOOOPS. Not to mention that there have been hundreds of corrections made to the BOM since its original printing, and these were not just grammar. For more information on this I would recommend both of these sites for those that are interested for thorough and valid answers regarding several Mormon belief on a variety of topics. : 1. cesletter.org 2. Mormonthink.org Keep up the good work, I have enjoyed the few commentaries of yours that I have watched.

I am a previous member of the LDS church. I believe I was under the curse of God and didn't know it or fully understand it at the time (this was around 2013). I was so confused and distraught that I got extremely close to taking my own life because I hated my experiences with Mormonism and my relationship with God (and other things that were going on too). Fast forward about 9 years, I fully left the LDS church, and started attending a nondenominational Christian church. My experience with God is totally different. Praise God you were able to leave. I grew up in Assembly of God and Pentecostal Church, then my family switched to Non Denomination. My mom encouraged me to to go to different churches to see where I felt a connection to. I did attend a Mormon church but it was with a neighbor who didn’t speak much English, so the service wasn’t in my language for me to know what they were teaching. Maybe this was God protecting me? I was about 10 years old at the time. I later (in my 20’s) learned that many believe in plural marriage (Mormon and LDS), but not all churches in that denomination believe it. The testimony of people who escaped these churches are horrifying. It was a show on TV, so unsure if it was exaggerated for entertainment or if this is what truly goes on. But it was so sad to see people being forced to live in conditional love.

It saddens me when I hear peoples testimonies of why they left the LDS Church, because I know that they have been deceived into thinking that their participation in the gospel has nothing to do with their salvation which could not be any further from the truth.

@@TheTidoman Would you not expect trials as a Christian? Jesus and the apostles' lives were full of trials, and they said ours would be too. I am a convert to the LDS Church of 25 years. Having gone to many different non-denominational churches before converting, I was always perplexed at the confusing doctrine. For me, if a church teaches that you don't have to be baptized in order to be saved, they immediately have lost all credibility. Considering that there are at least 13 New Testament verses that either state that baptism is essential for salvation, or indirectly point to it being a saving ordinance, I don't know how a church can teach that it is not. I am sorry you lost your testimony; I know how difficult it can be to constantly be told you are in a cult, but then again, the Jews believed Jesus and the apostles were cultish too.

Actually, Rev. Parr's explanation of the "Three Degrees of Glory". First of all, let me say that I was raised Mormon, but I am now a Methodist. I still have a lot of respect for the LDS church and have an "agree to disagree" attitude with my family members who are still in. Okay, on to my explanation *takes a sip of coffee*: The Celestial Kingdom - those members of the Church who faithfully live by all its teachings. An unmarried Mormon can still end up here, but they just won't reach the highest degree of glory, meaning they will still be in the presence of God, but they will not go on to create their own worlds (their definition of exhalation). And actually, an unmarried woman can still reach exhalation by joining an already existing couple. A man has to get married in the temple in this life and will probably be asked to take on additional wives in the next one. The Terrestrial Kingdom - those people who never got the change to hear the gospel but still lived good lives. The Telestial Kingdom - those who were baptized into the Mormon faith but rejected it (like me!) as well as the liars, murders, etc. Okay, I hope I did a good enough explanation.
@winkblink86364 жыл бұрын
So the way this gentlemen explains this isn’t quite correct. We actually encourage free thought and members are more then welcome to explore other faiths. A member even has a right to excommunication. When excommunication occurs the blessings and rights granted you through ordinances like baptism and ordinances performed in the temple like celestial marriage are taken away. That ex member is not sent to our hell or what we call it “outer darkness”. That is reserved for the baddest of the bad like the followers of satan before the creation of the world and individuals that have seen God face to face and have sure knowledge of his existence and still choose to reject it. Cain that slew Abel would be one of these. Excommunication actually saves members in a way so they by default would go to the second or third kingdoms of heaven, the Terrestrial and Telestial kingdoms.

At 24 years old I finally left the church because I always had doubts or found myself disagreeing with certain things yet I forced myself to conform and accept it. Once I started to pay attention to the Bible and how it contradicts the Book of Mormon I knew I couldn't let it go. What really got to me was 2 Nephi 31:21 when he says their is only one God yet we also believe their are many Gods and that we can become Gods. Haven't we always been warned to beware of false prophets and Gods and to only believe in one? That's when it really hit me. One word I would give you as you search for a church to become a part of. There are a lot of churches out there today that are churches in name only. Many have changed their names because it detracts from their true goal, money and membership roles. They would never DARE preach on Hell or what happens to people that do not accept the Lord as their Savior. They use a lot of the right words but when you really examine them they are just fakes that are sending many lost souls to hell that followed them. My best advice to you is to listen and watch. If what you hear and see does not line up with the Word of God, RUN, do not walk away from them as fast as you can. Many preach a "gospel" that tickles men's ears but there is no truth in any of it.

@danielmoore40245 жыл бұрын
@@mycabbages3538 Will you learn about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from people who actually understand and are truthful about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? We are not a church that believes salvation is through works as you falsely accuse us as. Articles of Faith 3 3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel. Saved by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel. Matthew 25, why does the slothful servant get casted to outer darkness? The servant had faith and was not saved. Serving our neighbors is the will of God and laws of the gospel. Regarding false Christs, that's why we don't fit under the same umbrella as you, we reject the God that was invented by the contentions between the Greeks and earliest Christians until Constantine adopted falsehood. What is the gospel? Faith in Christ + Repentance + Baptism + Holy Ghost + Endure to the End. That's exactly what we teach. Holy Trinity The Father + The Son + The Holy Ghost = One God According to that there is no such thing as One God. The Father = 33.33...% of God, The Son = 33.33...% of God, the Holy Ghost = 33.33...% of God. 33.33...% does not equal One. Neither the Father, the Son nor the Holy Ghost are One God according to the Trinity, they are all thirds of One God. It's scriptures like this that make me reject the Trinity and Nicene Creeds. Acts 10:38 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Since Jesus is God the beginning is synonymous to "God anointed God", that surely doesn't mean God anointed himself. The end says "for God was with him." Christ is God and a God was with him with God still in Heaven. The only possible explanation of a God been with Christ is if God is another reference to the Holy Ghost. That then resolves the contradictions between the visions of the prophets describing God as someone with a body and John 4:24. In Genesis the Father tells Christ "create man in our image", our states the Father and the Son have the same image, since the Son has a body so does the Father. John 8:28 28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. "my Father hath taught me," When did the Father teach Christ and why would he even have to if the Trinity and Creeds are true? 1 Corinthians 11:3 3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. God the Father is the head of Christ (God) making him the head of the Godhead. According to the Trinity there is no such thing as the Godhead for there's no Gods to be the head of. The prophets, apostles and Christ himself declare again and again that the Father is Christ's God, since Christ is God, the Father is God's God. Ephesians 1:3 "the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ," 1 Corinthians 1:11-13 11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? "Is Christ divided?" The political contentions were already arising. Christ taught a divided house cannot stand. Luke 11:17 17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth. This is even prophesied in The Book of Mormon. 2 Nephi 28:4 4 And they shall contend one with another; and their priests shall contend one with another, and they shall teach with their learning, and deny the Holy Ghost, which giveth utterance. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. All other churches are built upon a man's interpretation of the Bible, your faith stands in the wisdom of men. Elder Dallin H. Oaks when among the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said: “In common with the rest of Christianity, we believe in a Godhead of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. However, we testify that these three members of the Godhead are three separate and distinct beings. We also testify that God the Father is not just a spirit but is a glorified person with a tangible body, as is his resurrected Son, Jesus Christ. … “… Many Christians reject the idea of a tangible, personal God and a Godhead of three separate beings. They believe that God is a spirit and that the Godhead is only one God. … “The collision between the speculative world of Greek philosophy and the simple, literal faith and practice of the earliest Christians produced sharp contentions that threatened to widen political divisions in the fragmenting Roman empire. This led Emperor Constantine to convene the first churchwide council in AD 325. The action of this council of Nicaea remains the most important single event after the death of the Apostles in formulating the modern Christian concept of deity. The Nicene Creed erased the idea of the separate being of Father and Son by defining God the Son as being of ‘one substance with the Father.’ “Other councils followed, and from their decisions and the writings of churchmen and philosophers there came a synthesis of Greek philosophy and Christian doctrine in which the orthodox Christians of that day lost the fulness of truth about the nature of God and the Godhead. The consequences persist in the various creeds of Christianity, which declare a Godhead of only one being and which describe that single being or God as ‘incomprehensible’ and ‘without body, parts, or passions.’ One of the distinguishing features of the doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is its rejection of all of these postbiblical creeds. … “… Joseph Smith’s first vision showed that the prevailing concepts of the nature of God and the Godhead were untrue and could not lead their adherents to the destiny God desired for them. … “… We can comprehend the fundamentals he has revealed about himself and the other members of the Godhead. And that knowledge is essential to our understanding of the purpose of mortal life and of our eternal destiny” As soon as Constantine compromised between truth and falsehood the church became a mixture of truth and falsehood, the Great Apostasy was completed by Constantine adopting falsehood for the sake of his empire.

I asked whether they believe in sola scriptura. They didn’t initially understand my question so I explained what I meant they hesitated and went on to tell me that the gospel was corrupted when the prophets died. I also asked about their understanding of the Godhead I challenged their belief that there are 3 gods. They told me they want to come back to share the word with me in a few days time. I thank God for the opportunity to witness to them. They are young and appear very sincere I am praying that God will open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel I warned them that I am going to witness to them.

As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, let me first say thank you for your honest and well-intentioned attempt to tackle this subject matter. Many others have done so in a far less Christ-like way. Your high-level summaries of a few of our doctrines are largely accurate, but there are many details which were not accurate. I will give you just one example. You stated that we believe that God progressed to become the God of "a planet, this earth." While that is technically accurate (i.e. He is the God and Creator of this earth, through His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ), it woefully misrepresents what we believe, which is that He is the Creator and God of "worlds without number" (see Moses 1:3). It is true that we believe that God is one of many exalted beings, who by logical deduction must be creators of infinite worlds as well. However, while there has been some difference of interpretation on this next point, I believe the general consensus among members of our Church is that everything mortal humans are capable of knowing about (i.e. the entire visible universe, at a minimum) was created by our Father in Heaven, and he is the only God we now, and ever will, worship. And while we understand John 10:34, Romans 8:17 and many other sources in the Bible as well as others unique to our Church, to mean that all of us have the potential to become like our Father in Heaven, to state that our belief is that we will become gods of "a world" is equally inaccurate to the idea that God is limited in the scope of his creation. Humans are hardly capable of grasping a single infinity, let alone infinite infinities. But that is the direction one must go to begin to grasp the scope of this doctrine. But to the central question at issue in this video, "Are Mormons Christian?", I think most of the doctrinal issues you raised are quite beside the point (although I'm sure it makes for interesting content for many of your viewers.) The entire matter hinges on the definition of Christian. I think nearly every sect/denomination/creed/etc. in the 2,000 year history of Christianity has attempted to define it in such a way that those who agree with them on doctrine are "true Christians" and those who disagree are "non-Christians". It is a natural tendency, but one that I think is fraught with peril, the biggest being that those claiming to be the "true Christians" (as opposed to the "non-" group) arrogate to themselves the role of God in judging the worthiness and faith of others who also accept Christ as their Lord and Savior on no other basis than tangential doctrinal differences. (I'm sure someone will want to take exception to my use of "tangential", which I'm happy to address if anyone cares to.) If someone chooses to call themselves a Christian, then who am I to judge whether Christ accepts them within His household of faith? I would not dare, and I see no scriptural basis for anyone believing that they are in a position to do so. This is not to say that I believe there is no place for earnest discussion over the true tenants of Christ's doctrine. I personally believe that there does not exist in this world a flawless articulation of the fullness of ultimate truth. I think that the closest we can come to something like that is when the Holy Spirit impresses the reality of God's love for us on our hearts. Everything else is a shadow of that truth. This leaves plenty of room for improvement in our understanding, no matter the particular tenets of our theological beliefs. And the revealed truths articulated through written scripture and our fellow believers in Christ speaking under the influence of the Holy Spirit are sufficient for God's purposes in leading us to our ultimate goal of being united with Him, through Christ, in the fulness of His love (which I don't think any human can fully comprehend, no matter what we think we understand about what that means.) The final point I wanted to address (because it is one that I personally struggled with for many years) is the one you raised about the verse from the Book of Mormon that includes the words: “for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do" (2 Ne. 25:23). Despite hearing many theologically discourses to the contrary, I subconciously fell victim to the same misunderstanding that the word "after" indicated a sequential ordering of the application of Christ's grace in accomplishing my salvation, and that I had to essentially make myself perfect through my own efforts, and then Christ's grace was the final ingredient to clean up the debris of my sins I committed along my way. God has since helped me to unlearn that false notion and to understand its meaning much more clearly (although I don't pretend that I have a perfect understanding of it yet.) "After" in this sentence has at least two meanings: first, it has the meaning of "notwithstanding" or "despite". In other words, after anything and everything we can possibly muster on our own, we will always be infinitely short of reconciliation with God, and the only thing that can bridge that chasm is Christ's atonement. Second (and this is where our theologies diverge slightly, but only in degree, not kind), it means that Christ's atonement alone is not sufficient to work our salvation. There is something we must do in order for Christ's grace to have its effect on us. As I understand it (and please correct me if you think I have this wrong), protestant Christians believe this same thing. In the case of your theology, this is typically articulated as "our part" being limited to just one thing, having faith in Christ (although there has been debate for many centuries in Christianity over the meaning of James 2:18 within this context.) In our theology, "our part" (or the "after all we can do") is closer to what Peter articulated in 2 Peter 1:5-8. But here is the thing: trying to walk that path without the constant influx of Christ's grace into our lives would be like trying run a marathon with every bone in your body shattered. We can try, and we might make some limited progress on our own, but we will never get to the end of that road. Ever. And we will be in excruciating pain and misery the whole time. But Christ is the great physician, the only power through which our wounds can be healed. But we still have to make the journey. He will carry us and our load as long as necessary until we start to heal and get stronger. And as we gain the strength (through Christ) to stand on our own, He will let us carry a little more of the load ourselves, and then He will ask us to work with Him to heal others and help them on the journey. This is the path to becoming joint-heirs with Christ. If you believe that the differences I articulated above, or our belief that Jesus Christ is and always has been the Firstborn and Only Begotten Son of God, not God the Father, because they are separate beings, or any other tangential doctrinal differences, disqualifies us from being called Christians, despite what seems to me to be fundamental agreement on the entire core of Christ's teachings, then we will simply have to agree to disagree about this. To my way of thinking, you and I are both Christians in any meaningful sense of the word. If you got this far, I thank you for giving me a fair hearing, and I hope for you all the best on your journey with Christ.

You also have to look at after all we can do in the context it was given. Which at this time was the law of moses. Where people literally preformed outward ordinances such as animal sacrifice. Context is important. The whole point of that sermon was to look to Christ for a remission of sin when that appointed day came which for them was not yet. Context here is so important. With the law of of moses it was literally after all you could do and like i said that whole sermon speaks to the savior coming and fulfilling the law. Lets not forget faith without works is dead even under the new law. We are Christian and we are Christs yall just gonna have to deal with that someday.
@sidtom27412 жыл бұрын
Ephesians 2:8-9 says "For by grace you have been saved through faith and not of yourselves. It is the free gift of God and *not of works* , lest any man should boast." On the other hand, 2 Nephi 25:23 says "For it is by grace we have been saved, AFTER all we can do", insinuating that your works will define your salvation. When James 2 says "Faith without works is dead", you need to read the entire passage in order to understand what is written. That being said, the question that arises isn't whether we need works or not. The question is whether or not we are TRULY saved. Our genuine unbridled faith will LEAD us to do good works. Also, James 1:17 says "every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights". This means the origin of our good deeds comes from God above. And contrary to some claims, James is perfectly consistent with what Paul wrote in Ephesians. Finally, Titus 3:5 says "He saved us not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy." Now, contrary to what I used to think, Mormons believe in an IDEA of Jesus. They believe in the resurrection and everything, but are more grounded in the teachings and interpretations of Joseph Smith. 1 John 4 tells us to test the spirits because of false teachers. I implore you to seek the true gospel and to know the true Jesus Christ for who He is and what He did and taught.

LDS believe in a literal Father Son relationship as the scriptures read. To LDS our Jesus is still the same in that we believe He was born of Mary and the Holy Spirit. He is the only begotten of the Father. That He was baptized and showed the example to be baptized by one of authority. That we must all come to our Father in the name of His Son Jesus Christ in faith and repent. That Christ performed miracles called His disciples and established His church on Earth. That He performed the intercessory prayer at Gethsemane and was mocked and beaten by His own people. That He was crucified and died on the cross. That He is our Redeemer Lord and Master. That we are all saved by His eternal grace to be resurrected in a perfected body as He did after the 3rd day of His death. Honestly, as much as I love the Mormon church for having introduced me to Jesus since I was little, I can’t fully say I agree with it. I never read my Book of Mormon, I read my Bible. I symbolize the cross and wear it. And overall, I have a few disagreements that I could see as fundamental to Christianity. I have a lot of love and respect for aspects of the Mormon church, but I just don’t know how true it truly is. That’s why I never say that I’m a Mormon or a Christian, I’m a man of God, and that’s who I am above all else. The Bible is the truth, and Jesus is the ultimate truth. Prayer and scripture are our ultimate truths. Again, I’m still in the process of discovering whether I’m still LDS or not, but I can’t confidently say I’m Mormon. Will you go to Heaven? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the grave, defeating it. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you. (living waters/ray comfort) God bless

I’m very late to the comments here, but my husband just introduced me to your videos TODAY, Allen! And they’re wonderful ... because the BIBLE and GOSPEL are wonderful, and that’s what you preach! I just wanted to add here that my husband and I WERE both sixth-generation RLDS (the Missouri faction of Mormonism). My husband was an ordained Elder, and one of the 2 Pastors of our local RLDS Church up til 2013. We left 7 years ago when the RLDS Church (now “Communities of Christ” churches) embraced the LGBT agenda, and began ordaining and marrying homosexuals in the church. But the main reason we left was all the research we were doing into Mormonism’s history, and it was ALL unbiblical, and UGLY! (My ggg-Aunt was Lucy Walker, one of the many teenaged wives of Joseph Smith, who was frankly, CO-ERCED into marrying him.) Many of my ancestors became polygamists in Utah, and lived miserable lives in many sordid relationships. (Well, the women were miserable!) The Book of Mormon is completely false, and was a composite of many verses lifted straight out of the KJV of the Bible, and a “romantic novel” written by Solomon Spalding, which disappeared (it was stolen) off the shelves of an Ohio print shop, about a year before the Book of Mormon was published. It is NOT Scripture, and the fairly recent discovery of DNA has proven that. All Native Americans tested 99.8% ASIAN ... NOT Hebrew ... and Mormon apologists now have no clue what to do with that scientific fact. Both Joseph Smith and Brigham Young were egotistical, power-hungry, charismatic pedophiles. We now attend a Reformed Christian Church where the Bible and the sweet Gospel message of Jesus Christ is preached every Sunday, and my husband and I feel most blessed!! Thank you Allen, for exposing false religions for what they are, but maintaining a spirit of love in your messages. I just subscribed to your channel, and I look forward to watching all your videos!! - your sister in Christ, Ruth.

@@tiffanywright6653 According to the Bible people don't have to be members of a Church to have the title "Christian", the Bible states a Christian is someone who believes in Christ and intends to follow the example he set. People don't have to be members of a specific church to fit that description. All this debating over things about Christ are not necessary, we all know he lived a sinless life, atoned for our sins, and has charity and pure love towards everyone. Do you recall in the New Testament when the apostles got confused because someone else was casting dark angels out of people and what Christ said to them? What message do you get from that?

Mormons are good people and as Christian's we can learn a lot from them. I would go as far as to say their fellowship and principles about navigating life in many ways superior, but not their teachings on Christ. Two of my very good friends are Mormon, by staying away from them as a whole, we're not listening to our teachings, they can be reached.

@@dontstopforcops I don't mean we shouldn't try to be a good friend to them, but the bible says we shouldn't be unequally yoked with unbelievers. And they are definitely unbelievers. When dissected in the Hebrew, the true definition of Jehovah (Yah-Hovah) is revealed. “Yah” (@) means “god”. “Hovah” (@) Translates to “eagerly coveting, falling, desire, ruin, calamity, iniquity, mischief, naughtiness, noisome, perverse, very wickedness.” Jehovah is Synonymous with Baal: “Baal (@) from ba’al with pron.
