Currently watching and after spending $3,699 + Tax purchasing the 1332ATD Honda snowblower I’m kinda regretting it. It’s a great machine but winters haven’t been the same in New England and using it 1-2 times a year i am second guessing on why I purchased this machine. Warranty is almost up on my new machine with over 2 hrs on the meter. I wish we got winters like we did 10 years ago but we don’t. If we lived out west I’d be thrilled to own this

Thanks for watching. Now that I have a HSS928 and 1332 I will be doing videos on these also.

Honestly, for equal money, I'd rather have an HS than the equivalent current new HSS model. It's because the HS/Early HSS models were just simpler, manual chute crank, no steering, less to break and simpler to fix. I haven't used a more modern Honda blower, and I'm sure that those automated features are very nice when they're working, but it's more complexity and more potential points of failure. I'd rather steer the machine myself and crank the chute handle in exchange for having an simpler, easier to repair machine.

One way to turn the older models is put your hip in between the handles and push with hip to pivot turn. Handles on the older models are lower as per your earlier video. You’re almost walking backwards in the turn. Easy on your back.

I like the older models as well. plus i do not believe the HSS models will last very long.
@michaelhefford642022 күн бұрын
@@HondaSnowblowerEnthusiasts311 the HSS is garbage compared to the older models. Impeller housing is thin as paper, lacks power, clogs easily…just not worth what they are asking these days honestly. It’s nice still, if you don’t mind spending some time modifying it, by adding some extra lining to the impeller housing and chute, it’ll make the machine at least 80% better. Still doesn’t have the same power as the older models though.

@@michaelhefford6420 agree the quality is down and all the bells and whistles means more issues down the road. Thanks for watching. I'll always keep my old 80's.

You missed the best feature. Hydrostatic transmission. That makes the Honda’s worth more than the competition. No stopping to shift when you’re going forward. Easy to go from forward to reverse. Love how you can adjust on the fly the speed to the snow depth. I think on other snowblowers they get a lot of belt wear from always engaging the belt multiple times forward and reverse.

@@boulderbarry Yamaha is actually the best. I’ve owned both in the past 3 years. No competition.

no, new ones aren't worth it. get an older honda or ariens. the simpler the better.

Thanks for watching. I tend to agree. I have 2 new ones but will keep my old ones also.

Depends on the year. Older Honda’s are worth whatever someone is asking for them. I’d never buy another new one. Quality is gone downhill a lot, not to mention less power, at least the Canadian models. I think they changed something in the last 10 years, not sure if it’s emission related, hearing related or what, but they have less power than previous models.

Thanks for info. I know some owners are changing the jet in carburetor to get more power out of it. depends on your elevation whether you go up or down on jet size. most ly up to about sea level to about 6500' and then down from 7000 feet up. we have members at the 9000 or high foot levels. thanks for watching.
