So glad you got the help you needed Ginger..... it's kind of our way... When Hawkes Bay had a really nasty flood a friend of mine loaded his small digger on his truck with a load of other gear and drove 5 hours to get there. He stayed two weeks, at his own expense, clearing mud and debris in small areas where the big machines could not reach. For him it was nothing special.... it's just what you do when you can...

Great vid, it brought a pang of memory back for me, in so far as - I dated a pretty woman from Minnesota about 5 years ago, but the plans and break up happened when covid hit and I ended up back home in NZ. Her first degree was librarian and then she did computer science and ended up in IT. Hadn't thought about her for a few years till now haha. Once you get time, I thoroughly recommend you hire a large campervan and do a 10-14 day road trip, either around the Sth island slowly, or all over a bit faster. You will not regret it. For an awesome day/evening trip if you guys are into LOTR, do the evening banquet at Hobbiton (about 4 hours drive from the Nth Shore of Akl). Tamaki Village Rotorua dinner, if your into long walks, NZ is full of the most beautiful half day to week long treks. With lots of bicycle routes where if you plan it, there is a growing amount of where you can camp, or better rent hotel rooms and cycle from hotel to booked hotel where you cover the kind of distances you like. Beaches everywhere, skiiing winter in the Sth Island is divine... enjoy your new life, your most welcome here!

What's Colorado like after cannabis has been very available to those over 21? That's amazing bringing two cats because we all know poor felines don't take it very easily getting transported to a new surroundings. Taking two cats from NZ to Melbourne was stressful for two cats. They put themselves a box and sat in it for a week without wanting to move. After the misfortune of being flooded out by sewage I'd have a complete nervous breakdown! Ginger scores 10/10 for showing a relaxed personality after the shite they've been through.

@@youngrokkim6182 I can't be 100% sure but it was probably Air NZ from Wellington to Melbourne. I was already in Melbourne and my partner of the time organised it in Wgtn. In Melbourne we kept the cats inside for a few days. When Darcy was let out in the backyard he jumped the fence and disappeared. We put posters on posts around the block with his pictures for a couple of days and heard nothing. However after a few days he suddenly reappeared at the back-door and scoffed down the food. We reckoned he jumped the back fence and hid under a garage nearby until a bit of fear was gone in his new environment and hunger drew him back. If you move cats you need to keep a close eye on them until they start feeling safe in their new environment. Good luck. The

Our cats actually did quite well with the transport, even as older cats. One held a little grudge, but came around pretty quickly. The other one (sadly the one who passed away) seemed unscathed by the whole thing and just settled right back to his old routine. As far as Colorado goes, the only thing that's changed is the oversaturation of the cannabis market. It seems to be like any other budding industry (good pun, eh?) where a ton of people jump on the bandwagon and then the more profitable businesses end up cornering the market and the others fall by the wayside. I think it'll end up as corporatized as everything else in the US, unfortunately.

Does anyone know what bins she’s mentioning with the move? I’m vacillating between bringing some stuff and going completely nomadic with nothing, but dreading the expense of having to repurchase EVERYTHING. The biggest thing to look for is the shots required. I married a girl from San Diego back in 2000 and packed her off to New Zealand in a bit of a hurry. From memory, her dog did not have Rabies shots up to date and it needed I think, 1 month after shot before it could go into a kennel in San Diego where it stayed for 4 months, then 1 month in a kennel quarantine in NZ. You would need to do your research for cats, and if the shots are documents properly, and you can time it right, the quarantine might only be 1 month there, 1 month here in facility. Ours was much longer because of circumstance of ourselves more than the dog. NZ is extremely protective of its bio borders. We are the only major country in the world that has never had Mad Cows, and never had a case of a honey bee disease that is wiping out bees elsewhere. + other factors. Dairy is our biggest industry with the worlds largest dairy company etc. So they dont want to hurt the golden eggs.

As a maori l feel that if l was able to vote in the American elections, there's a strong possibility (for personal reasons) I wouldn't have had a problem giving my vote to 'that' person...(DJT) The current administration seems to believe that 'lawlessness' is acceptable. I wholeheartedly welcome Ginger to New Zealand and wish you and your family all the best. To get here, there were 'security hoops' you had to jump through in order to satisfy New Zealand Immigration. I mention this simply because the current occupants at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, no longer seem to care about the porous nature of the US/Mexico border and have ceded control of it to the Mexican cartels, (who incidently...have a strong influence politically and financially over a particular voting block in some US States. I can't for the life of me understand why any person of sound mind could 'responsibilly' consider 'THAT' current puppet as a second term candidate for potus either. Have a nice day.

And in Britain they've put out red mats and nice hotels for refugees paying criminal gangs big bucks to put them in dinghys to sail across the English Channel.
