I’m thinking we should all know when you own a business it’s to make money and more money right?..and also work hard and harder and harder right?..i could remember makosa, brenda fasie of blessed memory, and their likes rocked Nigeria for a while and even in movies,Ghanaians where at some point top actors and this was due to the fact that they where very good and nobody felt entitled to whatever you know…so basically, everyone in life strive to earn a living in whatever they do right?..so if music is an act of earning a living, why not?..I don’t think Nigeria is stopping people from doing a tour in Nigeria..I just think they don’t wanna spend the money which that’s what I believe Nigerian does to earn more…

FACT'S : 1. Music is not a cultural exchange program where each country must play each other's sounds. It is entertainment and also business. They all go hand in hand. Naija have mastered it a long time now. Not an accident they're excelling. 2. Can these gentlemen name 1 Cameroonian song that have gone international in the last 3yrs? That is a song the whole of Africa have vibed to? To the best of my knowledge none. So what exactly are you on about really? Cameroon does not have music or artist's that crosses border's. It's not Nigeria's fault. 3. If Nigerians have refused to vibe to Cameroonian music, pls show me in which other African country where Cameroonian songs are huge? I can't think of any. It only means you're not part of the equation entertainment wise. 4. I checked out Apple music top 40 in Cameroon December 2021. Out of top 100 you have lots of Fally Ipupa, Koffi Olomide, Americans, Nigerians etc Why accuse only Nigerians? 5. Silly people, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu indeed does not have a Facebook Account. That Facebook account was opened by his fans. It's only Cameroonians who doesn't understand how social media works. Let's I forget, don't accuse anyone of not promoting another bcos you're not privy to the contract signed. Once again Cameroonians don't know how it works. Naija entertainment industry is sophisticated and well structured. Ebuka Obi-Uchendu is a huge brand across Africa. He's the host of BBNaija, the biggest entertainment platform across Africa. For him to promote anything is huge money. Stop complaining if you don't have money to pay him. 6. The Shata whale you guys are supporting cannot be found in any African chart on Apple music top 40 Dec 2021. Couldn't see him on Spotify either. Dude is a local act in Ghana. Nigeria is not the problem why he's not blowing up everywhere except his own country. Just envy. 7. The entitlement mindset of the two guys up there is terribly nauseating. So Wizkid organised his own show, and you want him to draft all Africans in? How does that make sense? It's not all Africa music fest. It's a personal show. By the way he had King Promise, a Ghanaian, who's one of the hottest music property out of Ghana to perform along side him. Yet you accuse us. That Wizkid loves Africa is not at the detriment of his show. Stop being entitled. These Cameroonians should stop it already. We Nigerians are telling you to go ahead, ban our music. That will even be better bcos the jealousy and entitlement mindset is crazy. Pls play your own sounds and let us be. But remember that it's the digital age. These kids don't listen to radio or tv to determine what they listen to. It comes from the music platforms across the internet. That Cameroonians don't know too.

Nigeria is not stopping anyone from coming to the country. Shatta has never made any effort to penetrate Nigeria. What he wants is to be invited for deals instead of moving into the country to work with all these media houses and event organizers. If you are always looking on to the Nigerian artists to make things happen you will not get much success because the competition in Nigeria alone is fierce. Ghanaians must leave their comfort zones and go to other countries to make things happen. That is what the Nigerians do.

Nigerians support their own just like tanzanians and south africans do. The success starts at home, work hard on ur craft first then ur music will reach far. U can't blame nigeria for ur poor music talent and being lazy. Support ur own bc that's the key to success. U can't be mad at nigeria for loving their culture, movies, music too much that's ridiculous. I'm east african and in east African they play a lot of tanzanian music bc they work very hard on their craft so u can't miss that. We love their stuff and we also love naija music. They should inspire us, this type of conversations are doing more harm than good. For gods sake every Ghanian song that did well in East Africa had a nigerian feature. Watching your show was funny, the sense of entitlement is unreal. The fact that you had to promote several falsehoods to support your narrative tells a story. You claim Wizkid did three shows at the 03 & never put on a Ghanaian when he in fact brought on King Promise and promoted him as “THE KING OF ALL PROMISES” who is set to be the next big thing in the world. TALK IS CHEAP: it’s very easy to sit in your comfortable sofa in your studio and yarn anything that comes to your head. Wizkid as an example, is an individual who started at 19 years and has worked hard & made sacrifices people like you can’t imagine. This has brought him to the level where he is marketable globally; it wasn’t a one day thing. For every Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Rema, Omah Lay, Ckay, Tems, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Ayra Starr, 2Face, D’Banj, PSquare, Banky W, Flavor, Phyno, Olamide, Joe Boy, Fireboy, Buju, etc, etc, you have thousands of other Nigerians who have failed as musicians. The narrative that once you sing trash in Nigeria then our structure, marketing/media power, population, etc will make you a star is rubbish. I can give you 1000 names of Naija musicians who did not make it. You have to first have talent, then work hard and keep working hard. China, India, Russia, etc have huge populations, media, structure, money, name it but they are not leaders in Global music or movie industry. South Korea is a small country in Asia but their K-Pop is ruling the world while China, their Asian brother behemoth is no where. South Korean movies are now ruling the world. Jamaica is a much smaller country than Cameroon and Ghana both in population and economy but rate a thousand times more than both countries in music business. Wizkid NEVER went to Justin Bieber for Collabo on Essence. The story has been told multiple times by Bieber himself & his people: Bieber was on a private plane heading to a birthday party in Mexico when someone started playing the song on the plane, he fell in love with it, asked his management to contact Wizkid and begged to be permitted to jump on it; go and Google it; the point is that a good product markets itself. Music is business. The people who patronize Nigerian music in Ghana, Cameroon or elsewhere is the public. They play what they like and don’t give a hoot where the music is from; those of you in the media speaking grammar in order to create content can’t affect anything. Wizkid as a businessman did a 20-city/venue US Made in Lagos tour selling about 55K tickets for about US$3.2m. He then did the O2 three day tour and made US$2.9m. He may get about 30-40% of these sums while the rest goes to expenses, Record Label, etc. They were not shows he was invited to but ones he arranged himself. So if both of you were Wizkid organizing such a huge show, what will be on your mind is to show “love” to other Africans? Did Nigerian Artistes ever tell you they are Father Christmas? How many British Artistes can sell out even one night at O2? The above also gives an insight into how shows are organized. The people in Ghana & Cameroon who invite top Nigerian artistes to perform in their countries are doing so because it’s business. You won’t put your money and lose it because you want to show one AFRICA. Many of these show promoters borrow money from Banks to do this shows and they want headliners who can give them return on investment. Shatta Wale did a show for Ghc10 regular with highest tix at Ghc20. That is N700/1500. Even then, more than half of those who attended did not pay but climbed into the Stadium. Go and Google it, the cheapest ticket for any show in Nigeria this December by the top Artistes was N25K while VIP tables went for N5M. The same in Ghana where they can sell tixs for Ghc500 when a top Nigerian Star headlines. The show organizers in Ghana as bizmen are not showing us love but cashing out when they bring Naija Artistes. Shatta says his fans are from the streets: be honest to yourselves, how many people from the streets in Naija, Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, etc have the money to stream songs on Spotify, iTunes? Or can afford to buy concert tickets of US$50? When you want street people to come to your show at Ghc 10, you will run at a loss even if you brag about filling a stadium and won’t admit your loss. Also, concert promoters won’t invite you to headline their show unless you can attract the quality of fans ready to shell out US$50-100 to attend. It’s quality over quantity. Our Naija Artistes work and hustle hard to get acceptance EVERYWHERE. They spend money holidaying in Ghana using that as a platform to get close to their fans, media, DJs, Radio/TV industry players and then become known there and acceptable. Ghanaian Artistes will stay in their country in their comfort zone. They don’t come to Nigeria to promote their music or get known to the population. When most people in Naija say they don’t know of Shatta Wale before this beef, people think it’s arrogance but it’s true; when has he been to Nigeria? You have to put in the work first before you reap the gains. You want to be invited to Naija to perform when the populace don’t know you or your music. You want to be spoon-fed. How will Naija DJs know your music as to play on Radio & Clubs when you don’t come to promote it? Shatta Wale announced some months ago that he will not waste money on shooting good music videos (Google it); well Nigerians have sophisticated tastes, so don’t cry when your trashy videos don’t make it to our TV screens. We won’t play trashy music videos just to show we support one Africa. I am particularly shocked by Ghanaians saying we don’t support them. Wizkid just shot his #MadeInLagosDeluxe short movie in Ghana: producer/Director is a Ghanaian (even as we have at least 20 better rated movie/music video producers/Directors), Padae of R2Bees was featured in the movie. Half of the town where the shoot took place was repainted and touched up. Scores of Ghanaian artisans, technicians, suppliers, extras, dancers, etc were part of the US$450K project which money went into Ghanaian economy but that is not support? Before that, the video for Wizkid’s Grammy nominated Global smash hit song, “ESSENCE” was also shot in Ghana for over US$200K; before that “FEVER” was also shot there, on and on. The same is true for countless other Nigerian artistes who are always in Ghana shooting videos and for one thing or another. Many top Naija artists holiday in Ghana spending millions of US dollars and what they are doing is actively PROMOTING their business; as we speak over ten Naija Artists are in Ghana for one thing or other but the reverse is never the case. Less than 5% of our top 50 Artistes do Rap or Dancehall singing fake Jamaican patois; it’s not really our thing and so when we don’t vibe to Shatta Wale & Stonebwoy ranting in patois, it not because they are not Nigerian. Some Nigerian Artistes do Dancehall but are not popular even in Naija because we love Afrobeats and Highlife. If you people like, ban Nigerian music in your countries, your populace will use Shazam to discover it on the internet. If you don’t invite our SUPERSTARS to your concerts then it’s your loss as you will sell tickets for Ghc10 and allow half of the auditorium in for free if you don’t want a half-filled arena. The quality of people in your country who can afford to buy and stream music (not free downloads) and pay good money for concerts go for good music and out Artistes give it to them.

How will we do a show the clearly says that Nigerian music is big and properly marketed and that is why it's superimposed on other nations and u call it hate. Why is it that it's so easy for people to give attention to anything that sounds like an attack than focusing on the positive vibes...I remember us saying that its not a Nigerian Problem, its an African Problem , I remember us saying even Ghana is complaining but they aint open to everyone too. SO what's your point? That we missed out KINg promise and so u have to draw your conclusion? You guys should chill. No one is attacking you guys, the entitled ones are u not us to feel this show was an attack.... This show was about Shatta and Nigeria, We are Cameroonians and When we say it's hard to get our music into Nigeria its for a fact. It's not that we hate Nigeria...We will accommodate Nigeria but stop closing up on the facts.... The question is not that ur music is in our country, of course Nigerians do good music and that's why we listen to it, however, Nigerians don't play our music and that's not because our music is ugly it's just a Nigerian thing....I don't understand why you guys feel it's an attack. No one is attacking u guys. Individual achievements of artists is great and Nigeria is topping at African level and that is for a fact but how does that stop Nigerian Market from accommodating other artists in their country as much as they are accommodated?

How many your art do collaboration with these guys like the way diamond P. Did ? How many of your art put some Big DJ on payrolls? It is simply evil to fight good music. Nigeria is an epitome of good music. To break global viral boundaries with hits like Love Nwantiti by Ckay, Peru by Fireboy, Ameno remix by Goya Menor & Nektunez & many others.... You need; Blogging structures, Streaming structures, Influencing structures, Social media structures, Large & bold Global citizens, Explosive content. The synergy of the structures to trend simultaneously is what makes a hit, however you need a PROMOTION BUDGET to lit it. What other African artists need from Nigeria is to patronize our structures. These structures are not FREE! and are outside the levers of govt or artists, they are solely owned and controlled by Nigerian youths, who went through thick & thin to conceive, develop and grow their business. Nigerian artists simply lit their explosive content with promotion budget on the structures and the next thing the world hears a viral explosion and it becomes a hit!

The young Ghana artist are smart, coming to Nigeria for to their media runs and they are making the numbers. Gyakie, king Promise and others. Don't be fool by shatta wale, he is not fighting for the industry but for his personal gain. If you don't know king Promise was at the 02 arena. He was also on WizKid US tour , New York concert . Stonebwoy was also with davido in us. The song activate by stonebwoy which he featured davido was financed by davido. Shatta wale felt hurt when burna jump on a remix for second sermon by black Sheriff and he promise him a tour. He brought the young artist to Nigeria for his concert. The solution to the Ghanaian artist issue is MUSIC PROMOTION. Nigerians have invested so much money into that. If the music is good, take a chance on yourself as an artist and promote it GLOBALLY for the world to see and watch the magic happen. There was a time when foreign music dominated the Nigerian airwaves but look at us now. Ask your media houses how much they collect from Nigerian artists? The promo is not free.
