Pressing creates heat, even if it I for a short period of time. I would Be greatly concerned about the auger being plastic instead of metal.

I am also concerned about the same reason. Right now there are very few juicer available in market which comes with steel auger and strainer. Angel juicer is one of them, but they are very expensive.

Love all the honest, comprehensive content you make. I am trying to decide between NC800 and VSJ843, and I do not care about the price difference. Curious, what you recommend? Is less efficient wheatgrass in VSJ and less efficient hard produce in NC800, a deal breaker in any?

Grinding, chopping, cutting, squashing,scratching, squishing, pressing . Juicing things like carrots the parts will wear over time. you can visually see scratches on the arguer and the prodding tool. And these small amounts will end up going through the mesh and into the juice, it seems to me? leeching through chemical reaction is not a concern as it is such a short amount of time that the juice is in contact with the parts. it's the physical wear and tear that seems not to be addressed here. Or maybe I missed that bit?

I'm almost 2 mins into the video and he hasn't said Yes or No... I've got better things to do with my time. Based on some of the comments of other alternatives, I'm guessing the majority are not and only the newest ones released this year (2022) that are endorsed by Medical Medium are BPA free. Anyone care to confirm?

John do you know if the Omega NC100HDS has an optional stainless steel assembly in lieu of the plastic? I only ask as I have seen many many reviews from people who have bought the juicer that show that the plastic assemble is the weak spot on the machine and breaks (many many reviews). I assume this has to do with the fact that the juicer itself although designed in Germany is made in China so perhaps the plastic isn't made to the specs required. Thanks in advance for getting back to me.

John I'm having a very difficult time juicing citrus and other fruits in my Omega 8006HDC juicer. I juice a lot of fruit so not being able to juice them is a dealbreaker for me. What do you recommend to fix this or as an alternative?

Mix soft fruits with hard fruits or vegetables. It's gonna be healthier this way and the juicer won't clog. Other option: freeze the fruits, put the appropriate attachment in the juicer, and turn them into a nice cream (great alternative to store-bought ice cream and sorbets).

Thanks so much for you videos! I really want to buy the Sana oil extractor that I believe works with the Omega horizontal juicer. But I was interested in the Sana 727 that has multiple speeds. Is there anything equivalent from Omega and do you have any experience with the oil attachment I mention? Thank you!

If you are looking for a 100% Stainless Steel Juicer with an even higher yield than the GreenStar Pro/Elite: Angel Juicer In the US it runs under the name Super Angel Juicer.

Their customer service SUCKS. I emailed them immediately after an unauthorized purchase went through, and they got back to me AFTER the item shipped! So now I have to pay duties on it and return it. I wonder if they will be as negligent during warranty claims… not impressed at all.

@@discountjuicers what about Canada John ? I have a Champion Juicer 1985 in mint condition, Omega 8005 , VRT 400 and Solostar original. They all work very well. Solostar works best for yield but for cleaning and practicality I prefer the 8005 most. John is it worth buying Solostar 4 or NC 900 eventhough Solostar 4 won the leafy greens juice off. I do not juice fruits except lemon and limes. I focus on leafy greens and Cucumber and Celery. John your thoughts please. Yes i have seen your no need to upgrade video twice and J Kordich and Anne Wigmore influenced me starting in 1991.
