Karl you really shouldn't push Pablo away when he comes to you like that, he's confused and coming to you for reassurance and when you push him away you are reinforcing the insecurity. Give him a cuddle, tell him he's still your main man and then put him on the floor. He's biting you now because he's getting jealous but if you reassure him then this should minimize. Isn't the blue dinosaur Winstons toy, too soft for Pablos teeth. When Pablo has something that's for Winston then in a stern but not yelly voice say no then take it away and give him one of his own toys and give him a pat good boy. Pablo needs lots of love right now, I mean extra extra love to accept Winston as a friend and not a rival.

I second this, I would like to add always greet Pablo first, and always feed Pablo first. It will help him to feel reassured that he is still your number one boy. I'm sure they will be friends in time, Pablo is just concfussed right now. Good luck!

Hey correct yeah... Always make him feel that he is the main man in the house... Must not push him away... You can gently bring Pablo to Winston slowly make them play... If pablo don't want leave him... Don't worry he will be OK after few days....in anything you do Pablo must come first

I would have to agree with everything they are telling you Karl. If you watch the videos closely you can see the heartbreak in Pablo's eyes when you push him away. They will become friend's but you cannot push it on Pablo. He is confused and doesn't understand why Daddy does this when he never done this before. And I agree that he is biting for attention from Daddy like Winston is getting. He needs to know that he is still very loved bc he did come first. He will learn to share Mommy and Daddy with Winston. The only thing I don't agree with is that the toys should be shared except the ones that Pablo could destroy. Those ones should be put into Winston's area for him to use while he is by himself. After all they will have to learn to share everything including Mommy and Daddy. They will work it out for themselves as long as you don't treat Pablo differently than before Winston came along. If you do then they may not be best of friends like you'd hope.

@@christystafford1890 A puppy should never be left alone with a chew toy unsupervised. Pablo has larger teeth and a stronger bite force so he could easily take chunks from one of Winstons softer bones and could choke on it so that's why I said that. I didn't mean about the stuffies.

Fantastic video!! Pablo is NOT having it. YET. But he will, and it will be awesome! I literally laughed out loud at that lil Winston when jumped that sneak attack on Pablo. It was soooo funny. Pablo just looks like a sad lost little boy. But he will play eventually. It was so sweet when they were laying against each other. How in the world did that happen? Hehehe. So cute. Pablo isn't scared of Winston, I think in dog language he is being respectful and giving him space, dogs see puppies different to other dogs and they won't tell them off unless they push the boundaries too much. Pablo will eventually love him and want to play with him more when Winston is bigger, maybe when he is around d 4 to 5 months old you will see a change, thats when we noticed our labrador wasn't treating our beagle like a puppy any more :) edit: I am not a dog trainer and I don't know for sure what Pablo is doing but I have spent 3 years at a doggy daycare and have owned dogs for 10 years now, I have a pretty good idea what is going on but I am not a dog trainer so just take what I say with a pinch of salt if you don't agree.

That would make sense except did you see Pablo the first day Winston came home? It was a 180- Pablo kept doing pray pose to indicate play and kept running around and engaging Winston, who was totally oblivious and wasn’t paying any attention.

Awww poor Pablo looks so scared! My 1 year-old Cavalier Kings Charles whom we had since she was a puppy was absolutely terrified when she met my 6 year-old pug that I brought from Brazil 3 months ago. Pug wasn’t so fussed about her either... After 2 weeks they were snuggling and playing. Now they are best friend and just can’t live without each other! I’m sure Pablo and Winston are gonna be best friends in no time! ❤️

So cute. You should freeze some baby carrots and when he starts biting give him one. It works for teething. We did that for our pug and now she just loves carrots as a snack. She thinks they’re a treat. Cute boys!

Hey a suggestion. Please take more care of Pablo's feeling as he looks sad when you pushed him away from you. Pablo is actually behaving very well and being very gentle to little Winston. So encourage him more :) Btw you have the two most adoptable pugs in the world

Thank you so much for posting this beautiful video I love watching Pablo and Winston I could watch them all day long as a matter of fact if it was up to my pug Ginger we would be watching them all day everyday cuz she just sits there and stares at the TV watching Pablo and now with Winston she's twice as enthralled. As for how they're getting along I wouldn't be concerned dogs like people need time to get to know each other and they will be the best of friends and you will find that they will become inseparable. Awww Winston already loves Pablo, you can tell they are going to be best friends. Pablo is just a little apprehensive he will be much more playful with him the bigger Winston gets And what a clever little pup going up and down stairs. We had to teach Minnie to go down the stairs. She would sit at the top until you carried her down. However Pepper knows no boundaries she even jumps up on the windowsill to see where we go when we leave the house she is sooo inquisitive. It's probably a mix of a bunch of things. Pablo is giving Winston his space because he knows he's a fragile puppy. He's also probably jealous because there's another dog in his house sharing all the attention. He's also probably confused because this is such an upending of the daily schedule he's been super accustomed to. It looks like they're going to get along just fine, but it'll take time! It's a lot of change for Pablo.

I know it is so very tempting putting your fingers in a puppy's mouth. But this teaches them it's ok to bite. You can replace your fingers with a toy let him know that biting is not ok. And that he is to bite only certain things. My pug was the last one left in his litter. So he was around ten weeks when we got him. Unfortunately the breeders grandson thought a biting puppy was cute. Pete didn't know how to play without biting. It took me only a couple of weeks to break him from it. Every time we sat on the couch to watch TV he thought that he had to play (bite). He would automatically start biting a plug out of me with those little very sharp teeth. That hurts like heck. I would put him on the floor and give him a toy every single time. At first he would drop the Toy and get right back on the couch and repeat. Every time I put him down and gave him a toy. Within two weeks he stopped biting completely. He would bite anywhere he could sink his teeth into. And also they do sense when they cause you pain so that is another thing that you need to let him know that he is hurting you. If you let him keep biting fingers because it's cute it will become a major problem when he is older. He should be corrected each time so he knows it's not ok. Even if it means you can't play with him at the time you have to tell him off.

As Christy said! If you yelp like a puppy they understand that better than human response to pain (saying ow or similar). Putting a chew toy in their mouth each time helps them understand that thats what they have to chew 😁
