Ok. This video has proven to be more popular than I initially planned. Introductions out of the way first then I guess... Hello! I am F22Hunter. I make videos about Planes, and Games. Yes I do indeed still play World of Warplanes, yes it still receives updates/content, and yes, there is still a playerbase here. No, I do not play Warthunder. I tried it, and its community left a horrid taste in my mouth, so please dont ask me to go back.. yall leak government documents anyway, so I think you have your own problems to work out. Huh? Funny how I got here. I was watching a documentary on the Mitsubishi A6M Zero then got bored of just hearing stories about it and wanted to see video game representation of it and well here I am. I think I like this style of content and despite being more of a 20th century tank warfare chap I think seeing video game representation of planes (paper or not) duking it out is pretty enjoyable.

I had fun, those of us who take a while to get gold, we can't have all the premium ones. I bought the xp58 and now go for the P80. We usually prepare anti-premium free planes and they usually work.

Most premiums are fine, especially the ones you can get for gold in the game. There are just a few examples of broken premiums, but fortunately its just a small handful of them

Just got the Japanese G4M2 and it's dog shit. The P-61, B-29 , Bf 109 K are the OP Premiums. Good video :)

I think everyone in the community understands that the G4M2 is not going to be a carry plane. But thats a good thing, I'm positive once the other OP premiums (like the ones you mentioned) get properly nerfed the Betty can actually shine a bit

Some premiums are overpowered. Generally, the server population is so low, that the game rewards you most generously. I played during lockdowns and was absolutely showered with gold and free planes inside crates. I managed to accumulate probably close to half of all the premiums. 3 planes that cannot be touched are: B29-C, that when fully upgraded can take on anything. If the mines are present and the other team does not have a B29-C, it's gg, a lot of swearing and rage-quitting before the timer. Horton is a monster in the right hands. Half the planes can't climb to its elevation or reach it with bullets. It stays up, till you stall out, looking at it, and then it will dive. Lastly SE 100. Tail gunner, with extra training has 1000m range, when the longest a front gun can reach is 800m. Most planes that are foolish enough to chase your tail, never stand a chance. That plane on a non-premium account earns 5mil silver in a single day. Best thing to grind with, if you want aerial achievements, or money for tier 10 planes. That thing paid for all of my X's, and I had fun flying it. Literally, my favorite plane. Though lately, I stopped buying new planes. The game didn't revive. It's a graveyard of wasted gold., but the funds are bridged with World Of Tanks. Someone who hasn't played planes and wants World Of Tanks gold for free - it's 100x easier to earn it in planes, when you're starting out, and most achievements haven't been unlocked yet. Realistic to get 20k gold in about 2 months, if you're flying full time. Most rounds only have 1-3 real human players, so it's very easy to progress. If you want gold, just focus on mission requirements. Find some ground attacker and stick with it. Some premiums are so weak, it's just embarrassing. They're worse than every other regular plane. Ones like IL-1 or NC 1070. Russian premiums are meh. I-260 is alright. American and Japanese planes are for people who like to outmaneuver others. German planes are for players who can aim well with strong but slow guns. MH-17 is great for bomber-specific missions. If you boost accuracy, you can drop form 3500m+, where you're out of reach of most planes (except XF-90 and the flying pancake). Reload time is perfect for flying between checkpoints. Reward tickets that are earned daily are best spent on getting more hangars for planes and the rest can be spent on demounting equipment. In planes, you make so much silver all the way to Tier X, that you can have a positive balance even when losing. Something you can't do in Tanks or Warships. Planes are fun, because time to engagement is short. Tanks and Warships begin with minutes long setups. Action is all on the tail end. In planes you can be firing weapons in half a minute and getting points. Bots are easy to defeat, and everything earns a progression that periodically earns premium planes and gold. What's not to like (except the servers being deserted)?

This, is an interesting analysis, and I can't say I agree with everything you've claimed. There are indeed a few overpowered Premiums, chief among them being the P61, B29C, XP31, and BF109K6. Are of those need immediate nerfs to bring them back in line with the rest of the aircraft in the game. The Ho229 and SE100 I would not consider to be particularly strong premium planes. They can excel for sure, but with all the aircraft being played around them, they're simply overshadowed by other aircraft at their tiers. I absolutely agree with your point about Planes being more action packed than Tanks, I actually used to play Tanks but switched to planes after it released purely because I found Tanks gameplay to be incredibly boring. The fact that gold and free xp are linked between the two are also a bonus, as if I do decide to go back to Tanks, I'll have an easy source of both from Planes. Ideally, I will be recording a more in depth analysis of specific Premiums in each period of the game soon. Hopefully I can address the topic in more detail there. Glad you enjoyed the video! ​@@F22HunterYT Looking forward to more videos. If you're on NA server and run into a guy flying SE 100 all day, you'll know him to be me. I played tanks for a few years since beta, but as they kept adding more things on, and making the interface ridiculously complicated, I'd eventually start doing only winter holiday events and then quit all together, having something like 12 tier 10's with all Russian, French, German and American trees researched. I used to transfer gold there out of planes, but there it's all expensive. Spending money on planes I actually enjoyed, because they all felt different. Like I was buying a unique item. In tanks, I don't even have a favorite. Teamplay can nullify the best tank and top skill effort, and it poisons the enjoyment. People are unfriendly and clash with eachother. Your own team ends up being more trouble than the enemny. But generally, the game is too saturated with casino mechanics. Feels like slots with tank matches inbetween.

Yes, people still play this, you can find matches. It wasn't necessarily revived by any effort of WGs, its been a favorite of mine for years I've just only recently made content of my gameplay

Just because a premium is slightly stronger than the Tech Tree variants, doesnt mean the Tech tree planes cant hold their own. The primary logic behind it is to make the premiums well worth the effort to get, or the cash in some instances, and most players of WoWP agree with this stance

@@F22HunterYT Ur are realy brainwashed and like it. The Logic behind Premium Vehicle is to get ur money. You already buy them for the huge currency gains. Why do need even more and brake the balance of the game. Sure u can make a Pay2win game but than u loose a lot of players. If they are weaker even the Free2play players will like the matchmaking with premiums because theay are a bit weaker. For Clan / tournaments it is then mendatory to grind the tech tree to min max. So every vehicle has its place and every body woud be happy. 2020 WoT had ~7 mil players, in 2023 WoT had 2.5mil and they earnd MORE money than 2020. Your are just a Chash cow getting milked dry. You think u make a goog deal by bying a premium. But u cant see the big picture what this does to the game in a hole. The quality is gettin worse again.

Again. There are many premiums that ARE weaker than the Tech Tree aircraft. That used to be WGs policy, from what I've been told, players didnt want to have to spend money on aircraft that are generally weaker than the ones they could already get for free. Thats why slightly stronger is the way to go. Obviously if a premium is meta defining it should be nerfed. Some obvious examples of this are the XP31, P61, B29C, P40N, BF109K6, and XP67 just to name a few. However, there are multiple tiers where the Tech tree planes are stronger than the best premiums. It just depends on where in the progression system you look. If the premium isn't strong enough to hold its own against both other premiums and the tech tree aircraft, nobody would want to buy them. Also, you seem to be forgetting that a lot of these premiums are offered first for free during in game events. If you have the time, willpower, and skill. You can get these without spending a dime.

I wonder why wargaming hasn‘t shut this games servers down already, this dumpster fire of a game keeps being an utter embarrassment to the WW2 aerial combat games/genre. IL-2 Sturmhovic and War Thunder shit on this game. Wargamng should stick to WoWS and WoT.
