There’s not really much profit to be made on these. I had a chance to buy it and it took days to sell out on the Nike site. The retail was $375 cad plus tax it was almost $430. People selling on stock x for just under $500 after stock x takes their cut or in the case of eBay after paying for shipping there’s not much profit to be made on these. Also they were limited to one per person meaning you’d have to get multiple addresses to buy more and make other accounts.

i do have some collectible football boots that i will one day sell for profit. but theyre not hype boots made for the reselling market, a football boot becomes iconic because of what happened in it. a rare football boot doesn't have staying power above the initial hype.

Just recently started playing again after about 4.5 years off and resellers are annoying now. Tried getting the predators this morning with the tongue and my size sold out within 30 minutes of them going on sale. Hope none of yall pay resellers prices.

To be honest yes the resellers have taken over. But Adidas and Nike have the blood on their hands as they keep releasing limited versions of everything. Since december 8 colour ways for the new pred but still super hard to get any with tongues unless you get in a queue like its concert tickets

I've been trying for months as I love my Pred Accuracy. Finally got the FT and man, what a disappointment. Fit is awful compared to my accuracy, narrow as hell, shallow toe box and couldnt wear them for more than 10 minutes 😭

I get the selling out and keeping interest argument, but aren't these companies losing more money by mass manufacturing crappy takedown models that nobody wants, instead of making more boots that people are actually willing to pay for? It's not just football boots. It's anything. Whatever is made in limited quantities is instantly bought out by resellers and then sold online for significantly more. Items like this usually go on sale when people are at work as well, so those who want to buy them to actually use them, lose out.

Sadly the answer is yes: resellers have taken over the football boot market. If people did just not buy at their rificulous prices, they would go away 😮‍💨 Real people do not get a chance to wear the boots they want to wear, and these stupid resellers just sit on the pair until some dummy buys fot 200usd over retail 🤦🏻‍♂️

@@cold42takedowns can be a gamble. Sometimes they work well (futures), other times not (predator). Typically, i buy prior version of a boot on sale, like I had got copa sense .1 for $117 & just picked up 2pr of predator accuracy .2 in diff colorways for $59 & $65. All that said, I’ve found in getting older that my feet cant accommodate as wide a variety of boots as before. Certain styles, especially if limited on heel padding, aren’t worth the agony. In such instances, paying more for comfort is worth it. Also, if you’re not playing competitively most of the week, boots can last awhile. I get bored of the boots before they fail most times.
