Anyway, if you'd like to bring biology into this, I must inform you that biology does support trans people- or not feeling you were assigned the correct body at birth. There have been some cases in which someone has both male and female parts, which would inspire one to wonder if they are a girl, boy, etc. I think you should do your research on this- it is very interesting. Now, if I am going to agree with the claim that everyone's body is correctly assigned, I should look at your point of view. I can see it like this: it is not the assigned body that really matters, but the journey that either inspires gender dysphoria and good change, or one that enhances one's love of their body. Transphobia is not welcome here. If you would like to help others, educate yourself and give them meaningful advice.

Understand what they’re going through and 2. Feel comfortable enough being open and out about it. Not every increase in something is because it’s “cool” or “trendy” or “popular”. On the part about gender dysphoria only affecting boys, yeah it only affected boys because they were the only ones being studied on. It’s just like how autism was thought of as only a boys disorder when in reality girls were never researched on. Of course there will be social media influence because social media allows you to connect with more people. Until social media was made, those of us that are trans, lgbtq, or disabled have felt alone and left out of society. As an example of that, it took forever to get wheelchair access to all buildings. Part of the reason this is happening is the fact that conservatives, and libertarians both, did not call out the hatred and cruelties inflicted on trans people in the past. They either silently supported the beatings they received on the street and electric shocks at the mental institutions. If they were "nice" it was often in the form of offering Religious treatments like pray away the trans camps and told them to "ignore the feelings or you'll go to hell" or "your parents will hate and disown you" or "your a pervert for having those feelings". We didn't stop it. The left saw an opportunity to gain more followers, and they pressed the idea that "no one accepts you, but we do and always will" and that is how the right lost the support of the LGBT+ community.

@@GCEXTREMEMN The brain and genitals are two separate things. Transgender people experience gender dysphoria, that dosen't mean they, in your words "grow ovaries". It means they feel a strong detachment to the sex they were born as, and an equally strong need to transition to either the opposite gender or somewhere outside the binary. I'm one that doesn't believe gender to be a social construct, but it is still separate from sex. Sex is physical while gender is psychological. You can of course use a strawman argument and say that the brain is physical therefore my point is invalid, so save your breath. I'm confused. If sex and gender are different, why does "gender transition" consist of changing your body to resemble that of the opposite sex?
@humandisaster39023 жыл бұрын
@@queenkajou Because it more closely represents your gender presentation. Biological sex and gender are different but not totally divorced. We can go into a discussion about why or how that is, whether it's a good thing or if we can change it but if for example, you have a female presenting sex but more closely identify with a male presenting gender, it makes sense to transition your sex to more closely match that. There are two parts of transition, social transition - which is everything (basically) except sex or the medical aspect. Social transition is name change (if you want one), pronouns and being treated socially as the gender you identify with. You can also think of this as the "gender" part of transition although I don't for a few reasons but this is already dense. Medical transition is the other half, hormone blockers in puberty, hormone replacement upon confirmation, surgeries: top, bottom and facial feminisation/masculinisation, not everyone gets all of these surgeries and some don't get any, this doesn't make them less valid, surgery is scary and there are other reasons too. Effectively this is what people refer to as sex change, and it's what people think of first when they think of trans people, which is probably tactically crafted to be that way, because this is the scariest and most complicated part of transition. There's SO much I haven't touched on and not all the information I gave will be true for every trans person you meet. I hope that helped a little bit. And if anyone else wants to correct me, please do, I don't want to deal in misinformation and I'm still learning how to articulate these concepts.

There are numerous things wrong with this. First off, the claim that only boys can have gender dysphoria. This is straight up false. Any reputable medical doctor or institution says that all genders can experience dysphoria. Second off, dysphoria can occur at basically any stage of life. According to Mayo Clinic, you can have early stage, which is within the age of a toddler, middle stage, which is during puberty, and late stage, which is as an adult. Also, not all trans people necessarily experience dysphoria. To say that every trans boy is wrong about their decision would be hasty generalization. Another issue is that transitioning is not labelled like the way you claim. Transitioning using hormones is labelled as a very extreme method within the LGBT community, being a bisexual myself and interacting with other LGBT people. Not all Trans people use hormones, not all even transition in the same way. Transitioning is not supposed to solve all your problems. *Transitioning is meant to make you feel better about your self image and how you feel as your identity.* Your claims about social media are blatantly false. If a person is convinced to transition than that mean they have to at least relate to the people they see online. They have to feel the same way. There is no way a trans man who is in the right state of mind, could convince themselves that they are trans without having some doubts about it beforehand. Another issue is that medical treatment is very hard to find, especially within bigoted communities like the one you find yourself in. To say that any girl can just walk in and get treatment would be false. Another issue is that removing education from these people will only make it worse. Those people who transition and don’t like it are a tiny minority. It will harm the much bigger group of people that are actually trans. PragerU is spreading lies and misinformation. It’s right on their Wikipedia page. They are funded by capitalist oil company owners. They are spreading propaganda. Don’t listen to them.

I agree that time and thought should be put into such big things like taking hormones. That being said, parents should be kind to their children that are just trying to figure things out. That means allowing them to explore things casually, because often adolescents feel as though they cannot express this to their parents and only do so away from them. This is where we see those high depression and suicide rates

Honestly, this is how I feel. While I feel that the video is shunning people who want to transition, it makes a fair point. The teen is just a teen and may make a decision that may not genuinely make them happy. Parents should let their children be children and be open to allow their children to be who they are. If you have a child who is sneaking away from home to get some hormones then that child may not trust their parent. (Although if it is illegal, that is a whole different story).

@uzyna61163 жыл бұрын
Let's assume that's the case, Gender being a completely different concept to that of sex. Seeing as 'Gender' can be anything, it is allowed to defy logic, biology, and reasoning. Because of this, the only thing that Gender defines is itself, much like a person's name. While you can make assumptions about a person given thier name, you cannot truely *know* anything about a person with just thier name. Same applies to gender. This means that this entire conversation about gender is completely pointless, as Gender is therefore useless unless referring to itself. Congrats Liberals, using your definition of Gender, you prove that gender is useless and can therefore be discarded as it is only a means of self identification. Also, pronouns are linked to ones sex, being a natural and subconsious way to identify one's sex without explicity saying "this guy has XY chromosomes." So not only are "your pronouns" stupid they do not in any way relate to gender. Oh and one last thing, if Gender is different than sex, you cannot be "transgender" as you cannot transition from something that you were not, since you know "trans people were always, deep down, the gender they transitioned to."
@gamermanzeake3 жыл бұрын

A study from surgeons who perform gender transitions concluded that out of 22,725 patients who transitioned, 16 trans men, 37 trans women, and 6 non-binaries regretted it and sought to detransition. Let's see, that's 59 people. Out of *22,725* . What was it you said? Most trans people regret transitioning? Right, right. Totally. That adds up. Maybe the reason why "no one was trans" ten years ago was because *no one was accepting* ten years ago. I guarantee that there were plenty of trans people, they just weren't out. Not only that, but that study by Lisa Littman was conducted by a transphobic woman, with transphobic parents, on a transphobic platform. She asked transphobic parents about how they felt about their kids being trans, and of course, they said "well they never showed any signs of 'gender dysphoria' until their friends started saying that they were trans'". Your kid didn't "show" any signs because they were hiding it from you. And since their friends came out, they probably felt more comfortable and safe, and gained the courage to tell you. Cutting your trans kid off from social media, hiding them from trans studies, and being all "well you're just a teen," isn't going to change the fact that you're child is trans. It's going to hurt them in the long run. And you want to know why the suicide rate is high for trans people? They're one of the most heavily oppressed and ridiculed communities to date. It's no wonder they feel so worthless to the point that they off themselves. It's stuff like this that causes it. In conclusion, @PragerU... this isn't cute. *Stop it* .

This is telling Parents to do bad things "1. Keep your child from Social Media" Basically telling a parent to become a helicopter parent and monitor every single thing their child does on the internet. "2. Oppose against Gender Ideology teaching in schools" Make it so your child has no way to figure out why they're uncomfortable in their own skin and make it so they will always be REALLY uncomfortable (As someone who deals with Gender Dysphoria, It really sucks to deal with) and the worst of all "3. You don't have to agree with what your child identifies as" They say this is the most loving thing you can do. IT IS NOT. This is the WORST thing you could do to your child when they come out as Transgender. This makes them feel unexcepted and unhappy. It will make them uncomfortable to be in their own HOME. When I came out as trans to my parent, I told them that if they didn't respect my name and pronouns that I would live at a friend's home that did. Because you should ALWAYS feel comfortable living in your own home. This video is basically stating that trans men are caused by social influence, and therefore aren't valid transgender people. THIS IS DISGUSTING. GENDER DYSPHORIA IS DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE. Just because a teenage girl got on the internet, watched something on KZbin, and then decided he was trans male, DOES NOT MEAN THAT HE ISN'T FEELING GENDER DYSPHORIA. It means he found a way to understand why he felt the way he did. Frankly, this video being up is absolutely disgusting and should be taken down. It is encouraging parents to be helicopter parents to keep their children away from what they think is wrong. THEY ARE PEOPLE AND JUST BECAUSE THEY FEEL SOMETHING DIFFERENT FROM WHAT A GODDAMN STUDY SAYS DOESN'T MEAN WHAT THEY'RE FEELING IS INVALID. P.S. I’m not personally transgender, but I know several teenage trans people whose biological sexes are female, the majority of whom identify as male, and they all seem pretty well-adjusted. As far as I’m aware, only one of them has medically transitioned at all. He started testosterone when he was eighteen, so he was at an age when most people agree it’s okay to make body modifications without parental consent. The others are content to have short hair and wear masculine clothing, although it’s very possible that they may start hormones or get surgery when they’re adults. I’m not saying that it’s not possible to access these without parental involvement as a minor, but it seems to be pretty rare. Most of the information on the topic I’ve consumed indicates that before gender affirmation surgery, you have to go to a therapist and work through any issues you might have, so people aren’t just waltzing in and transitioning to get rid of whatever stresses them. Also, I have no idea why you think that anyone thinks that transitioning will solve all of their problems. Most of my trans friends have been identifying and passing as their chosen genders for years, so they, at least ought to be aware that their lives will be largely the same post-transition. The vast majority of trans influencers say that they’re happier since they transitioned, but the only thing they say has actually improved was satisfaction with their bodies and how people perceive them. There was also a study done on how many trans people detransitioned, and it was incredibly rare, and those who did were much more likely to detransition because of other people’s judgement than because they no longer identified with their chosen genders. I do agree that the rise in trans men probably has a lot to do with a cultural shift, but gender itself is cultural, so it’s really not that odd. If what is feminine varies between cultures, femininity must be cultural, so I really don’t understand why you would say that gender and sex are the same. Besides, there are several cultures with more than two genders, so it just doesn’t make sense to me that people would conflate the two. Also, even if this was just a phase, you’re not doing anyone any good by being rude and unaccepting to them. If anything, you’re only pushing them away and making them less likely to listen to you at all. Intentionally misgendering people doesn’t help anyone, and it’s basic decency to refer to people the way they want you to. Let your kids identify how they like, and if they grow out of it, so be it, but you’re not going to convince them they’re not trans.

This video is in no way shape or form educational. It is transphobic. Trans people are not trans because of social media, or influences from friends. They are transgender because they were assigned one gender at birth, and later discovered that it wasn't right for them, realizing this through gender dysphoria. Anyone going through gender dysphoria feels like they're not in the right body. And people like her tell them that they're wrong? Is that what you would tell a child having a panic attack? That they're just having one because of other kids pressuring them to do it? No. No you wouldn't. Transgender teens know exactly what they're doing, unlike some transphobes like her. Some of them are confused, yes, and that's normal. Teenagers are often exploring new things to find out who they are and what they want to do when they grow up. And what if you child IS trans? Would you tell them, "No, you can't do this" and then wonder why they're so depressed? Transgender individuals often suffer from depression and anxiety, and society is making it worse. I can tell you that from experience. There is science and research about transgender people. She obviously did not find the accurate resources, and has no idea what she's talking about. People are transgender because their body is one gender, and their brain is not, even structurally. They didn't choose to be transgender. So why do people think they can tell them they're wrong, and not supposed to be like this? Would you say "You can't be a boy, you're a girl," to a trans person? Apparently. Would you say "Just calm down" to a person with ADHD? Why do people discriminate so much? You love who you love. You are who you are. Don't lie to yourself. Thank you to all the magnificent people in the comments supporting the LGBTQ+ community. The world needs more people like you. SO ANYWAYS, DON'T BE TRANSPHOBIC. IT'S NOT OUR FAULT AND WE DIDN'T CHOOSE TO BE THIS WAY. YOU'RE WORDS ONLY RUIN PEOPLE'S DAY LIKE IT RUINED MINE WITH THIS AD AND THAT'S WHY I'M WRITING THIS COMMENT!! THANKS FOR READING!!!

I love how she’s talking about how it’s the internet that’s making these girls think they need to become boys like bro just be quite, just because they didn’t show signs of wanting to be or dress like the opposite sex doesn’t mean they never felt that way. Also some people really start to realize who they are and who they want to be as they get older more than likely in high school. Because I know plenty of people who changed sex when they where older because the older they got the more unhappy they where with the body they where trapped in. Some people just realize there self as they get older.

The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Ooh, black and yellow! Everybody knows, sting someone, you die. Don't waste it on a squirrel. Such a hothead. I guess he could have just gotten out of the way. I love this incorporating an amusement park into our day. That's why we don't need vacations. Boy, quite a bit of pomp... under the circumstances. - Well, Adam, today we are men. - We are! - Bee-men. - Amen! Hallelujah! Students, faculty, distinguished bees, please welcome Dean Buzzwell. Welcome, New Hive Oity graduating class of... ...9:15. That concludes our ceremonies. And begins your career at Honex Industries! Will we pick ourjob today? I heard it's just orientation. Heads up! Here we go. Keep your hands and antennas inside the tram at all times. - Wonder what it'll be like? - A little scary. Welcome to Honex, a division of Honesco and a part of the Hexagon Group. This is it! Wow. Wow. We know that you, as a bee, have worked your whole life to get to the point where you can work for your whole life. Honey begins when our valiant Pollen Jocks bring the nectar to the hive. Our top-secret formula is automatically color-corrected, scent-adjusted and bubble-contoured into this soothing sweet syrup with its distinctive golden glow you know as... Honey! - That girl was hot. - She's my cousin! - She is? - Yes, we're all cousins. - Right. You're right. - At Honex, we constantly strive to improve every aspect of bee existence. These bees are stress-testing a new helmet technology. - What do you think he makes? - Not enough. Here we have our latest advancement, the Krelman. - What does that do? - Oatches that little strand of honey that hangs after you pour it. Saves us millions. Oan anyone work on the Krelman? Of course. Most bee jobs are small ones. But bees know that every small job, if it's done well, means a lot. But choose carefully because you'll stay in the job you pick for the rest of your life. The same job the rest of your life? I didn't know that. What's the difference? You'll be happy to know that bees, as a species, haven't had one day off in 27 million years. So you'll just work us to death? We'll sure try. Wow! That blew my mind! "What's the difference?" How can you say that? One job forever? That's an insane choice to have to make. I'm relieved. Now we only have to make one decision in life. But, Adam, how could they never have told us that? Why would you question anything? We're bees. We're the most perfectly functioning society on Earth. You ever think maybe things work a little too well here? Like what? Give me one example. I don't know. But you know what I'm talking about. Please clear the gate. Royal Nectar Force on approach. Wait a second. Oheck it out. - Hey, those are Pollen Jocks! - Wow. I've never seen them this close. They know what it's like outside the hive. Yeah, but some don't come back. - Hey, Jocks! - Hi, Jocks! You guys did great! You're monsters! You're sky freaks! I love it! I love it! - I wonder where they were. - I don't know. Their day's not planned. Outside the hive, flying who knows where, doing who knows what. You can'tjust decide to be a Pollen Jock. You have to be bred for that. Right. Look. That's more pollen than you and I will see in a lifetime. It's just a status symbol. Bees make too much of it. Perhaps. Unless you're wearing it and the ladies see you wearing it. Those ladies? Aren't they our cousins too? Distant. Distant. Look at these two. - Oouple of Hive Harrys. - Let's have fun with them. It must be dangerous being a Pollen Jock. Yeah. Once a bear pinned me against a mushroom! He had a paw on my throat, and with the other, he was slapping me! - Oh, my! - I never thought I'd knock him out. What were you doing during this? Trying to alert the authorities. I can autograph that. A little gusty out there today, wasn't it, comrades? Yeah. Gusty. We're hitting a sunflower patch six miles from here tomorrow. -

@Cann Comrade nope. The transgender push is intentional by the Left Wing. The communists have specific rules for tearing apart a country. Getting young people to question their gender does a good job of screwing up a country.

Ah yes, blame it on technology and not the way people were raised and taught to think about things like this

I agree! It is terrible that we’re raising people to believe it’s possible to change sex when biology is immutable.

@@faealike4748 I quiet dont understand where you're coming from but I believe that anyone should have the right to change their biological gender if they feel uncomfortable in it. Even if they're not biologically the gender they changed into, why would it matter? If it makes them happy then that's okay. No one should feel apposed to do what they want because of other people's opions, their body, their rights. I hope I didnt misunderstand your comment, and if I did, sorry-

@@faealike4748 um and? Why does it matter how someone wants to live THEIr life? A lot of trans people had known something was off from a very, very young age.

@Breyer Horse Studios This isn’t something that’s happening in a bubble. Ideas about changing sex are negatively impacting how young people understand and navigate the world. Already we’re seeing waves of female detransitioners, they have been failed by all of us, and people aren’t listening. You ask me why it matters? Because this way of thinking is spreading exponentially, girls seeking to transition up by 2000% raise no alarm bells? I have to ask everyone who stands on the opposite side how exactly you think we as a species will be able to have children and raise families when the idea of biological sex is gone and everyone has three genders. Because that’s where this is going and it makes things worse, it makes things harder, and it is dishonest.

I knew a family whose little girl was convinced that she was a boy from age 4 to age 8. She was the only girl in her family, with 2 older brothers she loved. She outgrew it and is now a typical woman with a husband, 2 kids, and a career. That was in the 1980s. Today that situation would have been treated differently.

@@Shadow-go5ky That was not all of it. Those children were simply disconnected from reality and outgrew it. They were not born with anything wrong with them, they had gender dysphoria and outgrew it.

@@bohemianvegan Is this woman you are describing bisexual? Of the transgenders who end up identifying as cisgender, they normally come out as gay or bisexual. It's possible your friend is bisexual and still decided to have kids. Regardless, she should've been put on puberty blockers since puberty blockers are completely harmless and the effects are 100% reversible.
