Hyper-reflector wars! You're the only person I know that goes in depth with color accuracy of lights, thank you! You know I would like to see a shootout between lights with skin tones and how bad it actually effects your videos. Possibly a 2-5 light shootout wit those different R9 values and how it would look in real world side by side. I know you're shooting in RAW so it doesn't matter but LOG formats, and baked in formats may tend to suffer. You actually made me start looking for that light meter you have, this is the only place I can see it used lol. If you want more lights to test out I would have no problem if needed. Once again man thanks for the info.

Another great video, Justin! So I'm confused, has Smallrig just created a very impressive hyper reflector? Would using a smallrig hyperflector on an Apurture increase it's output?

Thanks! RGB lighting is even stickier territory when it comes to budget lights. Let me know what you find!

@@JustinPhillip Man It is indeed a stickier territory, however, I found the perfect light for me, I went with Litepanels Gemini 1x1 Hard, they sell for 2500$ in the US, in the UK for 1698 euro, I'm not from America and now that the USD is no different than the Euro because of inflation and I import film gear anyway, I went with CVP instead of B&H (Take that Biden lol)...love that light man, it's built like a tank; buttons and nobs are so professional level I believe this light will happily serve for years to come and light, the output is so powerful even in color mode, and I can use it outdoor in Moroccan bright sunny day no problem...it's so good I went with more units than I planned in order to use them in 2x1, 2x2, or any configuration I need, impressive lights man! I hope You check them out if You haven't yet, You'll be amazed

What is the output without reflector of the other lights in your comparison? This info would've been helpful.

I bought Zeiss 50mm f1.7 and 28 Distagon f2.8 back in the’80’s. For my Contax film camera. Blown away by your assessment of the movie lenses.

Great review as usual. I'm just too deep into the Aputure ecosystem to jump on these. However, I love the competition.

Definitely needs that V-mount adapter to be worth it in even the budget filmmakers bag. Bummer it can't run at full capacity on the smaller v-mounts. I think you said the adapter is included at B&H. It doesn't appear to be when I checked the link. But I could be wrong.

75% on skin / 40 % power from a 300d II 5350 K / Light Dome II + heavy diff + grid / F 2.4 24p 180d 400 ISO. Need 1/2 stop more to get to these setting, so should go to 60 % power or 180 W output... against 220W in your set.... that's near : just 40W hiding somewhere, maybe in the distance.

Power and performance may be nice but I’d rather spend more for reliability and better engineering.
